Scott Cawthon’s cancellation is mind-numbingly terrible. The man did so much to the indie game field, youtube, horror as a genre, and so much grossed charity along side it. It’s sad. Political differences really don’t justify any hatred and especially threats

As a Democrat, I do agree that the backlash Scott received did not need to involve his life being in danger.
At least there still making fnaf games regardless. We got security breech the beaten up game and help wanted.
The whole thing with Jesse McCree's name change was worse because Blizzard actively covered up what happened instead of owning up to the mistake the person did.
I can get why they would want to change since they named him after one of their employees and that he did do some messed up things HOWEVER people didn't really care since that was such a minor thing compared to the MANY atrocious stuff Blizzard did and its just stupid imo.
As much as I disagree with Scott Cawthorne's politics (the paticular politicians he donated to are controversial to say the least), he didn't deserve anything that happened to him. If you disagree with someone, either talk to them like an adult, or just ignore them. There is no excuse for death threats or harrasment.
This. Regardless of how questionable you find someone's practices or priorities, immediately condemning them is not only childish, but more often than not pushes them more towards their beliefs.
There is more to life than politics.

It's fully a matter of 'us vs them' mentality that both sides have, and both sides are going more and more extreme and willing to hate mindlessly.
What happened to Scott is one of the main reasons I stopped talking about politics online. I don't want people to see what I believe and try and cancel and ruin my life because of it. It's honestly kinda scary
I hate that we've basically created an environment where people will literally harass, harm, and possibly even kill for something as petty as being wrong.
This, 100%. It's pitiful that people are so divided politically that they will harass you merely for having differing beliefs. No one deserves to have themselves or their family harassed, threatened, and doxxed for their beliefs.
I hate it too. But I'm willing to call out even the worst of politicians.

What happened to Scott was absolutely unacceptable. If you don't agree with someone's views, fine, whatever. You have the right to disagree. What you DON'T have the right to do is threaten someone's life and family because you disagree with them!
That "Samus should smile more" take was the most disgusting thing I've seen in a big while. There's a big difference between being stoic and unfeeling.

That is the shit I've been saying for years. The big cooperation scandals are prevalent and its all trickled down to the Indie game development scene too. Of all the indie development games and early access games I've been apart of, there are few that actually make a game with little to no controversy. It's so bad these days that any new game I see on Early Access, I'm instantly skeptical of REGARDLESS how good the concept is.
For example, I am a skin artist and map maker. I was brought on to a project and given a few tasks to make skins for the in game creatures and then design a map for the main game to take place on. I was also working a 50-60 hour a week job because this project was (at that moment) a passion project and required volunteer hours (There was no promise of pay yet which I have accepted as part of the Early Access Development world....this sentence in itself is a problem too, but not the beef of my tangent).
The only reason I was brought onto said development company was because my at the time friend knew I had a passion for the work I did and invited me in. However, said friend was also a skin artist and was working faster on their end of workload than I was. They would show me their work, I would give compliments and critiques and try to help them with making their work come to the standards I held myself to. By no means was their work bad, but there was a difference in experience that could have been fixed with more time, better equipment (this person was not using a tablet at all), and some good critiques.
But I find out one day that the lead developers had bullied this individual EVEN THOUGH they were accomplishing their work at a faster pace than I was. They had continually sent their praises of me (Which shocked me because I had hardly done anything in comparison to my friend) and was more or less telling this other person they weren't good enough to be on the team anymore. This game wasn't even PRE-ALPHA and they were already kicking out one of their designers. Naturally I (not being a person to stand by people treating other people bad) professionally said my peace to the lead developers and parted ways with the project as well. I don't know if the game will ever get off the ground, I don't care.
TL;DR, All of Josh's listed fails are fails that I have seen even in the Indie Game world. As both a casual gamer and someone who has worked on projects. It's disgusting, I hate it, and no amount of gamer outrage will fix the problem because with outrage comes the toxic community who is blind/doesn't care about the underhanded dealings or at worst, an innocent and impressionable consumer who sees a game concept they like, and feeds money into the toxic devs and fans, and then either joins them or becomes so bullied that they develop similar jaded feelings about video games.
This. Needs. To. Stop
Tbh I have seen more instances of drama and incompetence destroy indie game projects than actual indie games being released. Makes me seriously fear for Billie Bust Up.
We need a way to stop the flame without getting caught in it or getting burnt to piss. That being said while there are many bad examples out of this there was a lot of good in the industry. There is devs out there that see to community satisfaction and work force care first and foremost and that's what the gaming community needs to keep above all else. Then need to stop treating it like its just a business and treat it like a passion to the community to demonstrate one person or a teams abilities in the many fields this community requires. The business is a afterthought greed driven concept and material gains should never be the sole reason in demonstrating anything revolving around ones abilities and skills on oneself or others.
Sure money helps make the gears turn but the passion is what makes the gears to turn in the first place.
At this point I'm starting to think that the Video Game industry...

The way Scott Cawthon got treated by those people makes me want to agree with villains like Agent Smith and Zamasu.

Even as a hard liberal myself, I agree getting doxxed was way too far and uncalled for. It not only was a terrible thing to do to someone whose crime amounted to just donating to controversial politicians (which isn’t innately evil, just odd), but it then went right around to actually causing genuine panic. I may disagree with Scott’s political views (and I very much disagree with them), but I wouldn’t wish what happened here on anyone, liberal, conservative, or whatever alike.
Honestly, I feel embarrassed by that whole debacle. And this is from someone who is usually a proud leftie.

I say a part of the reason it was this way was because 2021 was handed a dumpster fire that needed to be put out and 2021 got work done but there's still some work that is needed to be done to fix everything that went wrong that hopefully 2022 will pick up on.

I love the evolution of the "You should smile more" phrase. It started with Henry Cavil's Superman and it was more or less a critique about the dark and dour tone of Man of Steel. Then it was used for Captain Marvel because of the wooden lead and people treated as sexual harassment and then with Metroid Dread it went full circle when it was used with Samus (Iets us ignore the obvious facts she is wearing a helmet and as a Nintendo protagonist uses body language to establish personality and instead point out all the traumatic events that happened in her life which explains why she doesn't smile that often.)

I don’t exactly have to approve of what Scott did, mostly because he donated to Mitch McConnell and thats where I draw ire. HOWEVER, I will not approve and will defend his right to believe in what he will and live happily. Harassment and Death Threats are never justified, ever.

I would never see myself donating to Mitch McConnell, and I get the immediate boycotting of his games...but *doxxing him* was way too far and hypocritical coming from the community that goes through similar torment from the internet.

Man, I felt that Number 4 entry! I actually had Scott and his family as a prayer request, I felt so bad for him! I'd never play his games (except for maybe Pizzaria Simulator, as long as I'm diligent to throw away the scraps and not buy the reduced priced products), but given the fact that this man is not only a brother in Christ, but also actually uses his fame, talents and profits for the benefit of others (something that the Bible tells us to do), I can't help but give mad respects to him! And the thought of his wife and kids being put at risk because of who he supports is a little more than worrying.
I don't agree with his politics, but I still think Scott Cawthon is one of the coolest dudes ever.
There is more to life then politics. Heck, humans don't need politics to live. But some are absolutely consumed to live and breathe politics.

First off, this was a fantastic video.
Second off, don’t worry about the lack of equipment Josh. We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of whatever it is people actually want to be doing, and as long as you’re open and honest with your viewers then I’m sure most of them will understand and back you up.
Finally, What happened to Scott Cawthon was not okay. All the man did was have an opinion and support some political candidates. There is no justification for a person getting doxed and having their family attacked because they dared to have a different opinion. Everything else on this list was also bad in their own ways, but the incident with Scott was the worst in my eyes because it showed just how evil cancel culture truly is.
Thank you for the video Josh, and may 2022 be more favorable to you and your team than 2021 was.

I can totally relate to Josh's rant at the end. I reached a point where when I considered playing a Blizzard game, I must first pass a litmus test to ask "is my enjoyment of this game in any way making Blizzard money?". And only when it isn't or is actually a burden on them, do I consider "okay, but will it actually bring me joy?". I saw this coming the day Kotick got his greasy hands on Blizzard, but being proven right isn't vindication, it's pain.
Scott Cawthon’s Cancellation and Blizzard’s higher ups being full of Scumbags are the only ones that got me truly angry, while everything else was just frustrating. These showed innocent people actively threatened and hurt, which makes my blood boil!
BTW: I’d love to see a full version of your song where you reminisce about when there was no pay to win and the word ‘microtransactions’ was considered a made up word 😂

For the Scott Cawthon getting cancelled, that’s what you get for having a two party system pushed to such extremes that it literally became a part of ones identity with no shades of grey allowed. Had he been French and donated to a right wing party no one would have given a shit unless he donated to an extremist party. The us needs to calm the f down with politics and rethink that two party system that’s literally toxic.
Honestly, I’m not much into politics, but I would at least try to help support a third party (likely Libertarian) if I wasn’t living in a swing-state.

Dude, the Scott Cawthon shit pissed me off so much. The main ammunition people had to harass him is that by donating to the Republican Party, he's saying that he hates LGBT+ people. This is horribly wrong because Scott has shown throughout his career that he has a lot of respect for them and has donated WAY more money to LGBT+ charities and resources than the Republican party as a whole. I don't agree with the Republican party, but the reasons people were attacking him for were flawed from the very beginning. Even if he is misguided in some of his beliefs, who's to say that he can't change his mind down the road? But that requires KINDNESS, which so many people lack nowadays. Starting to think the internet needs a reset.

It was because of him donating to the Republican politicians that were actively making it harder for Trans people to live a normal life
(A lot of fnaf fans were lgbtq, or at the very least aligned with the community)
They felt threatened (as a lot of them have been for years)
( Those same Politicians were making it actively harder for women's choice and bodily autonomy in abortion rights)
I'm not denying that what they did was wrong
But I at least have a small idea of why they did it, they felt betrayed that he was making their lives actively worse
The charity stuff was fine
But it was too specific politicians that was making it harder to live that's where they got that rancor

A lot of people did some deep digging (which I consider an invasion of privacy), but found out that one of the biggest things that Scott considered an issue was Foreign Affairs. From what we understand, Scott donated to the Republican party for those issues. The party itself took that money and used it for it's own purposes. I don't think Scott is to blame for this one. And he certainly did NOT deserve death threats over it.

It’s worth noting that the same guy wrote a short song called “A World on Fire”.
It is pitiable seeing the state of gaming the way it is sometimes, as much as I enjoy these lists I sometimes wish Josh would do the opposite version of these to show that the state of gaming isn't completely hopeless.
The whole Scott Cawthon cancellation made mee FURIOUS, I mean who the funky undercutting calzone-kapers are those gamers to wish Scott Cawthone when all that person did was support politicians he wanted to support mainly because he thinks they would be best to run the country, are we as gamers supposed to kick him out when gamers are not supposed to be defined by one type of background.
Despite what the people who tried (And unfortunately succeeded) to cancel Cawthone would like to say, supporting a candidate does not mean you condone everything about them or that you become their second in command somehow, it just means you support that candidate.
We gamers come from many different backgrounds, poor, rich, popular, outcast, banker, teacher, or maybe even just a casual guy. WHO ARE WE AS GAMERS TO CHASE SOMEONE OUT FOR THEIR POLITICAL BACKGROUND WHEN OUR OWN BACKGROUND IS AS UNIQUE TO US AS IT IS TO THEM?!
And if anyone wants to go any further about justifying Scott getting canceled, I want you all to name one fully human that didn't either make a mistake or was faultless, SPOILER ALERT, you wont.
Despite the multiple thousands of dollars in donations to charities, which includes charities for kid's health, those slimy weasels who have no satisfaction or accomplishments in their own life so they try to destroy another, which included a dox that could have potentially gotten Scott harmed.
Also Josh I sympathize with you about worrying about baggage when it comes to enjoying games, but admittedly I try to tune myself out when I play games and just get sucked in and not deal with what baggage it brought with it, if you find enjoying games harder recently, I hope you get back to enjoying them.

All I did was start a new file and made my way to this room, teach him the controls, and tell him to aim for the enemies. Even with the handicap of him not going through the game's tutorial, it took him 39 seconds to get through the room.

I find it baffling that when sexual harassment cases come out of companies (a waaaaaay worse offense than having a different political belief) it more or less sadly gets swept under the rug for the most part in terms of media. The media ran demonizing and frankly untrue stories (like Josh mentioning he also donated to Democrats whereas the media conveniently left it out) just to try and hurt Scott. IMO Scott did nothing wrong nor was his statement about the people they support making it harder for themselves. Look at women’s sports now, all the records are being broken by guys saying they’re women with record low moral being reported in the women’s teams if they see a “man pretending to be a woman” there. A school in Vermont covered up a sexual assault of a girl in the girls’ restroom by a trans student, knew about it for months, but just transferred him out where he did the same thing again one week later. Both these incidents among others has caused more ire towards the trans community because they were actively encouraged by politicians under the guise of “equality”. Scott never said anything negative to those communities and the fact that people were trying to rile up others by saying he did is just plain stupid and vile. Everyone, doesn’t matter one’s beliefs, is going to have controversial opinions to someone else on this whole planet at least that how I look at things.
When your "beliefs" are hateful in nature, minorities and LGBTQ folks have every fucking right to take issue with them, it's real easy for straight white people like Josh to dismiss this as not a big deal because it does not directly affect him in any way.

I’m with you there on mobile games being predatory. The only mobile game I’m aware of that doesn’t have predatory monetization practices is Azur Lane. I’ve played the game daily for 3 solid years and never once felt the need to pay money to progress. Despite having gacha elements, the game actually gives you more than enough in game items, hence not feeling the need to use real money to progress. All their money comes from optional skins which most fans are ok with since the artist (who are freelance) do get a cuts from them. During one of the events the Sandy Server actually couldn’t play the game during an event for 2-3 days. The dev team apologized and actually gave everyone in the Sandy Server 20 free event gacha rolls and extended the event for an extra week for all servers so that Sandy players can catch up. When China got angry about Ai Kayano because of CCP supporters (wish I was making that up), they were forced to remove her voice clips from the game, but the developers felt it was unfair and only removed her clips from the Chinese servers and kept her voice clips for the other servers and even gave new skins to her characters since the JP and NA servers saved their game.
Fire Emblem Heroes is usually pretty good about that too. I’ve never really felt disadvantaged as a free to player, but the recent change where they added sparking to seasonal and legendary/mythic banners was pretty scummy

Arknights was published by Yostar like Azur Lane is but both had different companies doing the development Manjuu with AL and Hypergryph with AK. I’ve played Arknights since launch and noticed that while yeah it does give plenty of in game items, getting the summoning currency is tedious since you have to grind 1-7 repeatedly and have an exact resource creation output to make sure you have plenty of LMD (in game currency). They give you enough for one free x10 summon a month as long as you do Annihilation challenges weekly which thankfully Arknights has a feature where if you perfect clear the level you can replay it on auto with double speed enabled so you don’t have to replay the whole level again and it’s shorter. I’m trying Blue Archive now and so far it’s fair with no predatory monetization. The game is pretty young though so time will tell.
@@hermannandreaskran9392 I’d say Arknights is mechanically fair as Gigguk put it. Arknights is the definition of “not pay to win, but pay to waifu” I just feel Azur Lane is better handled compared to Arknights. Azur Lane developers also connect a lot more to their fandom. The devs actually gave the company president/creator of Azur Lane a school girl outfit as a joke, she actually came into work the next day wearing the outfit. The cancel culture mob tried to get Azur Lane cancelled, the dev team and especially the company president swooped in, told them to piss off, released their skins unaltered, and actually gained more players from the ordeal. People actually bought all the skins that released that time to support the devs.
@@hermannandreaskran9392 glad to help. I’ll give you some starting tips for Azur Lane. In terms of starter ship girl, I chose Laffey since she’s the most balanced in terms of stats. Javelin is good too but is more evasive and pierce damage. Z23 (Nimi as the fandom calls her) is more support based but still good. Any of them are good. Unlocking all 3 will get you Ayanami who is a Torpedo Demon (nickname from fandom based on the real Ayanami ship). Only summon once (which you get free for light constructions) a day (3 for events like the one running now) that will help keep your resources in check, in fact doing it this way will guarantee an overflow of resources. Playing now and completing the daily event challenges during this event will let you choose an SR ship. Personally I’d choose Essex because her stats are top tier and she’d help you easily in the first few worlds. Some ships are drop only ex. world 3-4 has Akagi and Kaga. With drop ships clear the level until the threat level is safe and build a team that’s powerful and low oil cost to grind for them in auto mode. With free gems use those to get dock expansions if you pay to get skins, use any left overs for dock expansions. Join a guild as soon as possible. Joining a guild will increase how many resources you can have. Set notifications on so that you can do as many commissions in a day as you can since they don’t require you’re input besides setting up your ships to send out. The rest is up to you.

@@sheshin Only problem is I doubt a video game crash would hurt mobile games enough that they get off the Candy Crush high and become games of quality again.
The reason the crash happened is because the small gaming audience at the time were sick of the lack of quality control. The gaming audience is so large now you can just go somewhere else if your die-hard fans leave. It's not going to happen unless the massive casual audience develop higher standards, or finally crack down on their games not actually being theirs.
One thing I'm interested in is a digital distribution crash. If sites like steam don't have a proper safety net ready for when they go under, (which they don't currently) consumers will lose trust with the safety of their digital goods.

9:40 It gets even more funny that David Jaffe even thought Shantae and the Seven Sirens, which is one of the weakest and also the most mediocre installment in the series, had “better design of a Metroidvania” than Dread, which is incredibly funny because before the game’s recent big update, Seven Sirens’s design is way easier to get lost in that game given that there is no indication on where to go next at times. XD You think that a person involved in some popular video game franchises (God of War, Twisted Metal) should at least get an idea on how game design works. XD

Not only did Nintendo call out Jaffe in the form of a Switc News tutorial of things to keep in mind for Dread namely remembering to shoot at suspicious walls, using the same room Jaffe got stuck in as the example, the fans have nicknamed that specific room the "Jaffe Room" and they have also addressed the recently released "Rookie Mode", an easier mode that won't drive off newcomers because Dread is a legitimately difficult game (not that I'm complaining, that game was worth the sack-twisting wait I sat through), as Jaffe Mode.

I completely agree with everything Josh said about the Scott Cawthon "controversy". I heard about how he was being cancelled on tumblr -not surprising- and when I dug into it and found that all he did was support republicans I was like "...So?" It isn't as if he himself is taking part in all the shitty things republicans are trying to do to this country. And he CERTAINLY isn't actively using his influence and fame to make life harder for a heavily marginalized group of people in an entire country like a certain fantasy author I could mention. As far as I'm concerned, the side that resorts to doxing and DEATH THREATS is in the wrong. Done. End of story.

Maybe it's because I come from a Republican family that I'm a little more forgiving. Both parents are die hard Conservatives and Rump Supporters. Does that make them bad people? No. My mom is the kindest, most compassionate, generous, caring woman you will ever meet on this planet. My dad is a little rough around the edges, but he would take a bullet for me or any of my sisters at the drop of a hat. And the cherry on top is that I'm LGBTQ+ (lesbian). Did they lose their shit and suddenly hate me when I came out because I'm everything the Republican wants to erase/suppress? No. My dad doesn't get it, but he thinks asexuality is only how seahorses reproduce, so I'll forgive him.
The point I'm making here is that supporting a political party =/= being as horrible/oppressive/homophobic/bigoted/ect as the members of said party.

It was because of him donating to the Republican politicians that were actively making it harder for Trans people to live a normal life
(A lot of fnaf fans were lgbtq, or at the very least aligned with the community)
They felt threatened (as a lot of them have been for years)
( Those same Politicians were making it actively harder for women's choice and bodily autonomy in abortion rights)
I'm not denying that what they did was wrong
But I at least have a small idea of why they did it, they felt betrayed that he was making their lives actively worse
The charity stuff was fine
But it was too specific politicians that was making it harder to live that's where they got that rancor

I feel so bad for Scott Cawthon. He is one of the awesomeest game developers this world has ever had, and didn't deserve to have him and his family ruined over freaking politics, a subject so bloodthirsty here that it's forbidden to even talk about it at the dinner table.

I'm so glad Sonic Colors Ultimate didn't get on the list. It means one of two things. One: Someone on Josh's team realized that the flaws are actually not that bad and decided not to mention it. Or two: They were going to put it on there, but everything else was so bad that they left it off. Either way, Colors Ultimate was spared either by luck or respect.
sonic seems to have that weird kind of luck where any version thats ported into another console seems to be worse and bugger than the original. brillaint diamond and shining pearl has that issue too

Editor of number 6 here. I made a reference to Colours Ultimate by using the tropical coast remix haha. I found the game to be unacceptable for a remaster (patches be dammed), despite the base game being great.

The games not gonna fucking hold your hand and give you giant neon arrows showing you down linear corridors. Use your God damn brain for once and figure out a puzzle.
And despite industry bullshit, I would say 2021 was a good year for gaming. Sure it was far from perfect (no year in gaming will ever be perfect), but it still had a lot of good games.
I am 2 minutes in, and I want Welcome to the industry to be a separate video and blow up. It’s a really good parody that fits this cursed industry.
Here's my honest thoughts on each fail on this list:

Number 8: I got stuck once. How did I figure out what to do? Simple. I stopped playing the game for the day, came back the next and I was able to get past where I got stuck, all without a guide.
Wow. Mad respect to you for that. I've done similarly seemingly impossible things, like say, beating Girl Power Station from Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion in just 3 tries, but your accomplishment takes the pecking cake.

10. Nintendo should understand that not everyone has the economic status of a upper middle class family. In other words, it's bad because of the lack of reasonable pricing for a meh product. Which, related to your small tangent about Netflix and other services piracy. I agree in the sense of it's inconvenient to have a bunch of streaming services all at the same time just to have all the things to watch. On an anecdotal note, this is why I have a liking towards physical media. But that's another thing for another day.
9. I understand that diversity is important. Trust me, I ain't ignorant to that. BUT! At the same time. There's a time and place. This isn't a thanksgiving dinner where you're 'debating' (read; having a screaming match towards) your bigoted aunt or uncle, Take Two. And before this gets misconstrued because this is the internet. I'm not standing for the bigots who are upset because they don't want diversity because *insert reprehensible talking points here*. Diversity is like a soufflé. You gotta be careful and delicate with it or it'll fall flat.
8. Just let people have fun with Metroid Dread legally. Piracy isn't cool. It discredits all that hard work that the developers did. With the journalistic gameplay. It's not bad because you have the reading comprehension of a gnat. And while I hate this mindset, I'll make an exception here and suggest to just go full Dark Souls and Git Gud.
7. Never did care about Stadia. And I still don't care. And it sucks for the people who got laid off.
6. Please finish your products, bigwigs. The public can tell when you're slacking off. They aren't stupid like you'd think.
5. Cyberpunk 2077 should've gotten delayed. At least it gave us the Keanu Reeves "You're breathtaking!" meme. Next!
4. While I'm personally indifferent to FNAF and I'm lukewarm towards Scott Cawthon's Republican ideas (In other words, they exist and it's his life. We aren't in 1984 or The Handmaid's Tale after all. People are allowed to have free will with beliefs.). Lemme just put this in a way that is Keep It Simple Simpleton.

3. Monetizing stuff that should be standard in games (like save states) is ridiculous. It kinda reminds me of one of the Metal Gear games having a save slot being locked behind a paywall.
Also, with gambling. that should make a game M rated given it's technically adult in nature. Granted it's not swearing, intimate material or violence but at the same time. Financial ruin is horrible.
2. I don't know diddly squat about stocks. I'm an average person who has opinions. Not a financier. So, no opinion.
1. *EXPLETIVE* Blizzard! Just, *expletive* blizzard. Honestly, what I take away from that cluster of bovine excrement is performative activism is a red flag. Now don't get it twisted. Activism is important. But there's a way to do it without looking like a male peacock strutting their feathers and screaming about how everyone has the social equivalent of the concept of original sin. Kill people with kindness in the metaphorical sense. And please, if you're claiming to be for social change. Look at yourself first before you get offended on the behalf of others.
These are my thoughts and I'm sticking to 'em.
Here's another potential candidate for the inevitable Top 10 2022 Fails; The Bayonetta 3 Controversy. Long story short, the original voice actress for Bayonetta did a lot of questionable things involving her want Bayonetta 3 to be boycotted by fans of the franchise and how she ultimately lied to everyone as to why she did reprise her role as the titular character.
I really do hope in the 2022 fails, if Halo Infinite is brought up again, it'll be grilling the crowd again. While 343 has certainly been making massive mistakes with Halo (believe me, I'm going to hold it to them to fix them) They were either because the developers genuinely felt it would make the game better, or because they were ordered to by higherups at Microsoft.
However...turn to the fandom...We have:
-Death Threats targeted at developers on Reddit and Twitter,
-the entire fandom getting up in arms over a piece of merchandise costing no more than $35,
-getting upset at the TV show being different from the games (it's a different timeline, it was supposed to branch off from the games)
and then, more recently, as of the time I am typing this which is the 8th of September 2022...
-The Hashtag "fire343" trending on twitter, essentially wanting a whole studio of developers who are doing their best to make a game for the fandom, to lose their livelihoods just because the game isn't exactly what the fans wanted.
Again, Halo is in a very bad state right now, and I agree that major fixes need to be done, but harassments, death threats, and overall spoiled behavior over a video game that isn't 100% perfect is absolutely unacceptable.
343i really does need to get their act together...but the fandom isn't blameless either.
Blizzard should be punished for their #1 by being forced to listen to T2's #9 every day for an entire year. Every exec.
