How about a Titanium Sledge?! You could make it extra big since it is lighter!
That's a lot of money going into the metal though
That would be dope
Titanium thors hammer head size and a long handle
@@shwiplashmac5390 is sledge hammer sized chunk of titanium 300 bucks? Because thats what an expensive sledge costs anyway
Silliness. The entire point of a sledge is weight
I love how much you love titanium. Nice hammer.
Try forging a Molybdenum hammer. Wear a mask, and use a ventilator that metal smokes like a 5 alarm fire.
Did you say something about never working with Titanium again.... Great project
Something about if he ever made anything out of titanium again then it would be a fake video and not really him. Lol
19:54 A lesson on how not to put out a fire
Yeah lets leave a pile of highly flamable stuff on the table within the reach of the flame we wave around isnt any better.
The confidence and ease with which you work metal is fantastic, rarely seen on youtube.
19:50 love the way he is not panicking in the first Time
Awsome build, I look forward to seeing it in action.
Tool Time with Tim.
Tim- 'I've never made one before'
Viewers - 'oh no here we go again'
That, sir, is as close to a stunningly beautiful titanium rounding hammer as I ever expect to see. Thanks for sharing your process.
Check out anodizing titanium on UA-cam. Easy to do the colours you want. That blurple really floats and gets along with the handle. Nice work on the new format. ✌
😁 Ahh ha! "Blurple"! That's funny. It was more difficult to anodize ^this hammer head because it's so thick. A thin piece of sheet titanium would turn colors more quickly and easily. You'd get anything from blue to blurple, or from yellow to yorange. Maybe even grue or bleen! 😉
Love the fact that you show everything, the good, the bad and the ugly! Thank you Tim :)
It's so cool seeing when titanium is glowing and looks like molding clay when the power hammer hits it.
This is something you cherish and pass down to your kids. Man I really want one, hope to see more videos with it soon.
This is becoming one of my favourite channels, great work Tim & Martin
Dang, I'm super early. The hammer out of titanium was the first video I watched from you. This is my second video
Well Jacinto your truly missing out, you should really watch some of Tim's other videos. He truly dose some amazing work. It will be time well spent.
I'd love to see a series where Abom79 travels around helping the young bucks learn their lathes and mills a bit better.
Sweet looking hammer, yo.
Hammer looks beautiful, great job on it!
Love old Tim’s attitude! Talented guy! Came across this channel and love the work man! Becoming a lost Art!
Titanium should be renamed Timtanium. Awesome work as always.
When using the lath with the form turning bit you really need tail stock support
I love your attention to detail man. Your videos are a pleasure to watch. Great work.
Beautiful. Can't wait to see it in action!
Beautiful colouring. Well done!
That's very nice looking handle and hammer
I just love the colour transitions titanium goes through as it cools from being white hot.
Best blacksmith videos I’ve seen in a long time
Beautiful piece.
Didn't expect to like the handle so much, love the head too. Hello Martin! What's up?
that ethereal blue looks so cool
Hello! Just wanted to say that I really like your videos. I also love your attitude and how happy and relaxed you seem with everything, you always roll with what comes your way and it’s AWESOME. Your pretty inspiring and keep doing what your doing! Have a wonderful day and good luck with anything that comes along your way! 😄
Love seeing you use different kinds of metals it really cool to see. Very nice job this project turned out very well. Can't wait to see ur next videos and to see what kind of metal that you thow in the forge next. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work Tim. Keep Making. Forge On. God Bless.
That hammer looks AMAZING!! The blues/purples on the titanium together with the black handle just looks perfect!! I also love your new intro. Great work guy's 👍👍👍👍👍
The accuracy at which you both are able to have when swinging the hammer is impressive! I’d miss every shot!
i have to admit i admire your skills. i have a background in welding and fabrication, as well as a little blacksmithing. the anodizing method your using has me excited..
Damn nice hammer, well done! And it most certainly would not be an episode of "Tool Time" if Tim didn't have a fire to put out
Fantastic just fantastic well done T.👍🇬🇧🤘🍺
I never would have guess a Ti hammer would be any good. I was always taught you want the weight do the work. Now I want to try one!
I haven't made many hammers (only 3, one by myself, directed one and striked on one), but I found you can fix a slightly crooked eye while forging the cheeks.
Man that turned out great! Hell of a job! Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
19:57 definitely sounded like Alec Steele right there 😂
Damn Tim! You have outdone yourself yet again my dude! Beautiful work!
SICK! Great work Tim!
That's incredibly beautiful. Great job man!
That's one SICK lookin hammer head.
Lol oh Tim... Just as I was saying to myself out loud "easy with the flames Timmy boy" !
Nice to see you using the Martin power hammer hard to find them
Man what a hobby. First thing I’m getting in my garage is a forge
First time at this channel, nice hammer you made there. For me, I would have probably sanded the handle back just lightly to expose some raw wood and then had the contrast. Each to there own, and you will enjoy using it I am sure, as I do with my own tools that I custom make occasionally for myself- just because I can.
That is crazy cool!!!! What a build!!!
One thing that I've learned about flame bluing titanium, is once you've heated the titanium passed the forging temperature. The material doesn't want to flame blue.
Another great project, keep it up.
New here to your channel man. I gotta say, I'm loving the content, you're making straight artwork here!
Yes! I have been asking for this for years!
I dare you to try and forge a knive out of Iridium when you reach 1m subscribers😁
You are the definition of the dog shit on the bottom of my shoe. And I love it. I’m with you on this one.
@notfiveo 10 gizillion yer Dudeeee
Wow really cool.
Please make titanium flint striker that would be awsome.
Titanium axe next? I dont know if it would be useful at all but it would be cool to see!
That's gorgeous!
sick one, looking forward to see it in action
I’m impressed by the hammer, but even more impressed by how calm you remain with a small fire on your bench!
Losing your marbles isn't going to help.
There is a fair amount of fire in that building anyway
DAMM!!!!! That tool looks sharp as tim!!!!
Good job as usual m8!
Ohman i Love this One 🙌 awsome work 😊
Loved watching you set your surroundings on fire lol👍
What do you guys usually work on when ure not making stuff for UA-cam? Will you show us sometime?I'd like to see other everyday blacksmithing stuff you do.thanks
Really chill and projects or pretty good love it
Great video Timothy, very cool sledge..:))
I need to understand the intentional arc thing he does to get that blue colour because I am in love with that
Flame finishing wood is an ancient Japanese wood preservation method called Shou Sugi Ban.
Love your work mate, regards from West Aus 👍
Ditto!!!
Funny! I literally caught some brakleen rags on fire today welding to close to them!😂🔥
Oh this is very good to wake up to!!
Fantastic Hammer Tim!
ALMOST TO 100k WHAT UPPPPPP
I wonder if you used a titanium filament and used it to coat the hammer, that might get you the brilliant color scheme I think your looking for.
Dang!that thing is sweet!
It's so nice I wouldn't want to use it,lol
Looks awesome!! if you didnt have any imperfections in the hammer it wouldnt look nearly as awsome!!
Typically for when I do flame anodizing, it needs to be red hot to get the best colors.
That thing is SICK!!! Such a long way from that sad thing you were using a year ago.
Amazing as always :)
Love the new intro ha! TOOL TIME WITH TIMMM
Nice build! That hammer most definitely is sweet, nice work. That'd make a dope everyday personal hammer 🔨 . Flame anodizing it takes it to the next level of craft work which is what's lacking along with quality at times as well but you left neither of those in question w/ this piece 👏. It'd be mutually beneficial if you did a giveaway at 100k subscribers for this titanium hammer or the titanium axe. I know we'd all appreciate it.
Excellent.
Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fun to watch your work on the power hammer, you make do wonderful things. How much would that hammer weight out of steel?
TITANIUM Tim Thats what we should call you mate , NOW when are you going to make a TITANIUM Anvil .
Grate video Tim keep them coming .Cheers. :)
So freaking dope
White sparks are nice
That is awesome man.
I would love to have one of those. I in Deroche.
It’s pretty challenging to not be impressed. I mean bruh.... that’s a great looking hammer.
i like your every work
Love from India Sir ❤️
Merci bien !
Good job bro
I’ve never wanted to own a hammer so bad in my life.
superb
Eventually all of his tools will be replaced with titanium one's he made himself
Love the hammer head. Not too crazy about the handle. I don't really think they go together. But ahhh man! Try an aluminum handle. You could knurl it for grip. And you could also anodize the aluminum so they would match. Love your channel!
Metal handles are very bad for your muscles.
Wood naturally absorbs vibration and shock.
Ali would look tacky and cheap i reckon
Martin's the new power hammer!lol
Will stelter moment. That Scratch is un'forche'nate... You get it? :D
That hammer turned out gorgeous!
the darkened wood with the blue of the titanium looks amazing - question... why do you hit the hammerhead onto the handle upside down?
Probably to avoid blemishing the head. Its inertia will keep it from moving much as the handle gets jolted further down. It needs to go farther than the height of the head so you can't just set it upside down on a table, not the whole way anyway. And that would still expose a surface to impact.
It is looking marvelous, l thought that l was the only one that had little camp fire around him while he was working. Lol
