“I left my phone in the room, I just realized. So I need to enjoy my surroundings right now” I love this! It reminds me of that one dinner where they purposely left their phones away. It inspired me to not be on my phone as much we don’t even realize how addicting and unhealthy it is and how much it takes away from the moment.

Thanks Monica, you have kinda inspired me to tour Europe using hostels. Please when you come back safely, I would love to hear your holistic experience of hostels and travelling Europe and what we should do and look out for, basically a Monica Guide :D :D, have an awesome trip further from a far away fan
hostels are 100% the way to go when traveling (you can also pay extra for private rooms at some hostels, I've even stayed at hostels with your own personal bathroom which is sooo nice). Why pay $300+ a night when you can pay $20-80? you're really only going to be sleeping there anyways!
You could get tattooed: something that's related to being a twin, maybe a sign, that stands for it, something that reminds you of Shelby, so you kinda always together. Something Seattle related, outlines, statue, the mariners sign.
I love how your vlogs bring me to cities from the containment of my bedroom.

You should travel to Estonia sometimes and see the old Tallinn. I went there last summer and it was so beautiful! Old houses and buildings and a lot of history.

If you're still in Scandinavia, there's this really good flavored orange chocolate that I grew obsessed with while I was out there from a company called Marabou, but can't find in the states. That's if you like orange and chocolate fused together!

I find it odd when I'm in another country and the restaurant refuses substitutions because in the U.S they will do anything and everything possible to make sure you get exactly what you want. When I was in Greece, the menu had a sandwich that came with a side of fries but they didn't have fries listed as a side by itself. I wasn't very hungry so I asked if I could just pay for a side of fries and they refused, said fries could ONLY come with a sandwich.

There actually ARE kinder eggs in the US! I sell them at my store called Cost Plus World Market, there’s actually a few in Washington and I think one in upper Seattle

Hi Monica, I appreciate your travel videos most of the time. Especially the ones with advice. I'm writing to give constructive criticism that the title of this video is misleading. Please title videos so that viewers know what the content will be, such as changing this video's title to "Stockholm vlog!" I watched it 2x to see if I'd missed the "Don't do this!" part, but it is nonexistent. You don't need to use a click-bait title, and it's honestly off-putting to viewers. I would have watched this video and focused more on the content if the title was about Stockholm. Instead I was waiting for the advice that never came.

LIKE THIS IF YOU THINK MONICA SHOULD GET A TRAVEL TATTOO!! As someone who gets tattoos while I travel, just make sure you feel 100% comfortable where you go. While in Paris I got a paper plane tattoo and the artist didn't speak a lick of english, for me personally this was awesome and he did a great job. In Ireland I got a shamrock and I still am in touch with the artist who did it, and when I go back i will be for sure seeing him again. Getting tattoos in other countries is such a fun experience and its like a souvenir you will have forever. I love the idea of collecting tattoos from all of my travel adventures. I also have a lot of tattoos, so for me the decision to get more is pretty easy.
Maybe like the world, with a plane flying over top of it like a plane would. As the tattoo idea of course.
