I can't begin to tell you how both painful and joyful this video is for me. Right before the virus took control, my husband and I were preparing to move in that direction and look for a home for our old bones. Thank you so much, it keeps me going to see the beauty and gives us comfort while we wait to make our way in that direction.

Will, you are right, what a beautiful drive! I usually avoid most the crowded parts of the area (best I can) when I visit, so drives like this are my idea of heaven. My typical runs include Pigeon River Pottery, Smoky Mountain Jams place, and Aunt Mahalis’s for souvenirs.

Very nice video Will & Dawn. Spring has sprung, all the trees, flowers and grass are coming to life. I really like Douglas Dam/Lake area. When we are in town, we take a picnic and soak in the views. During your drive, the views are just beautiful! The rolling hills, cattle on the farms, blue skies with white clouds.

LOL, we always visit The Dam Store my husband always goes fishing when we visit, but we always make jokes with the name too, my little one says mom I can say that its the name of a store. Funny! We will never forget this pandemic its sad that people couldn't and wouldn't listen and do like what y'all are doing going to places no one else is crowded around, and unfortunately it may get like that again because people didn't take precautions now that flu season is coming around too. It is always nice to get out and enjoy a fresh air walk. I love springtime with the blooms of the trees and flowers sitting in the sun.

The bush that smells so good is a Honeysuckle & they pretty much grow wild all over Tennessee, they come in vine form or bush. You know it’s almost Summer when you smell the Honeysuckles; they smell Soooo Good!!! The first tree was a Cherry Tree, possibly Kwanzaa, they are so pretty. Also love the Redbuds, so beautiful in Tennessee in Spring. Does Douglas Lake have a swimming area & can you fish from it? Loved seeing the Country area, love taking drives like that just to see countryside like that. Thank you for that.
