I had a water leak near my sapadilla tree -- and I got a surprising amount of fruit set. I think that there is a connection.. but I spent almost a $1000 on that stupid leak!
Love your trick! I have a sapodilla CAMPECHE (going on the 4th year and it has not bear a single fruit). Can't wait to try this trick. Thank you for sharing!!! Have you heard of a CAMPECHE?
Don, would that go for loquats also? My 4 yr old set very little fruit this year and what did set, were taken green by grackles. The plants are lush and beautiful, but fruiting poorly.
My fig tree gave it once this year and now it is full of figs that stalled. I water it, feed it - why it happened (I live in Tucson)? Should I I cut them and use as fertilizer? I do not want to wait when they fall by themselves. I'd appreciate your advice
But it's tedious, it's fine if you have 1 or two trees but if you have more, there is definitely a better way. Also part of the beauty of nature is that you let nature do all the work, as a farmer or horticultural enthusiast your role is to merely facilitate nature's work not take over...
I have over 10 annona trees and I don’t find it tedious. I think it’s actually relaxing walking around the garden. But do still think shamus has a great idea with this one. May help get a couple fruit Naturally but hand pollination Is how you will get abundance of fruit. I’m going to do this with my sapodillas
My Atemoya that I planted on April 17 is barely recovering from shock now nearly 2 months later. is this normal for Annonas? when I planted the tree the ph was 5 but now it is around 7. i'm trying to lower the Ph again an am foliar feeding every two weeks.
This is a bad idea. We do not want unwanted insects to damage leaves. Don’t listen to him. My trees have a lot of fruits regardless. Just use mulch, fertilizer, and trim it in the summer to grow new shoots for the next season.
Mix about 2 tablespoons of honey in a cup of water put it in a sprayer and spray it around the flowers the bees and flies will come.
Great info. I never thought about that. Good thinking.
Great video like always shamus, please gives us an updated garden tour🙏
Love it. So easy. I can do this. Thanks! 😎

Forget facebook...
Direct and straight to the point.
Who knew me being a procrastinator was beneficial for my trees
Great lesson

Awesome! I'll be doing this when I get some flowers on my Sapotes!

I hand pollinate all my Annona fruit, it’s very easy and effective

Looks more like rat bait we have a Lotta rats in Florida don’t wanna leave anything out.
You just need more cats. (or mink and dog)
We have rats in AZ that would be attracted to that as well, if I’m not mistaken.

Good morning 🙋☕
What's that plant next to it?
Papaya
I do bee’s job by my hands
Yes you take the pollen right to the trees...
Hope you guys don't have fruit flies or it would be a terrible idea
Sami Zouad lol I’m worried to have fruit in the house yet alone near the fruit trees, I do a closed compost due to fruit fly, I guess they don’t?
