I think I can help you. You see, there are spawn spots that only spawn wither skeletons what yo need to do is find them. Once you have those spots if you place a wither rose it will only spawn wither skeletons. Also spawn proofing the area with slabs is ideal and leaving a 2x2 space for the wither is needed. Right now structure spawns and other normal spawns happen at the corner of blocks in bedrock unlike at the center with Java. This will change in the new update but structure spawn seems to be untouched so this may still work in future updates.

For those who's piglin's keep dying because of the blaze. To solve this, all u need is 4 glass blocks around the slab on the top and probloem solved
Built this farm. When we first get there, there are lots of skeletons and blazes but after they all die hardly anything comes back. Im guessing that maybe the mob cap is getting filled somewhere out of sight? I dont see any mobs as far as the eye can see. If we run away and come back mobs are there but run out quickly. Sucks for afk'ing. I didn't really want to have go crazy spawn proofing the whole area, but guess if we stay at this location we'll have to.
Only major challenge is capturing and keeping the piglin alive. Have waisted 4 name tags already lol

Yeah this farm doesn’t work I’ve come to find out. It worked for me for 27 skulls, but then the piglin mysteriously disappears eventually and it breaks everything.
Just throw some boots on it

Im currently building an auto sorter in this farm so I can AFK for potentially days and come back to a double chest of skulls. I want full beacon coverage on a 5000 block area...

whenever i turned on the lever the pistons did activate but they destroyed the redstone torches for some reason
Are u on Java?
Step 1, make sure you’re on Bedrock edition. Java doesn’t have trident killers.
Step 2, use more observers instead of torches, see if that fixes it. There are plenty of videos out there on how to make different types of trident killers. The observer pattern should be as follows: looking at the back of the pistons, on the left side place observer facing that piston (Arrow on top of observer facing away from the piston). Then, place observer facing that observer (arrow facing next piston). Continue clockwise around the pistons, repeating those 2 placements. (Left side of the back of piston, place observer with arrow facing away, then place observer with arrow pointing away from that observer towards next piston)
If you haven’t placed a lever and activated it on any of the pistons yet, they should automatically start firing in rotating sequence. To stop it, just use the lever on whichever piston you choose.
so theres a problem with my nether fortress, it does have this structure but its 3 of them stuck together kinda on the edge of the fortress and theres only like 2 long directions going out of the first one the rest have nothing leading out from them, would that still work, or do i need to search for a different fortress
That would still work. If anything it will give you increased rates!

@@paddoscooters never made it on that location went to a different fortress and one thing let to another i ended up replaying assassin’s creed black flag for the 17th time and forgot about the farm completely, also it wouldnt have worked because there would have been too much spawnproofing to do around that first fortress to maximize withers spawning and the two week minecraft phase started slowly dying
Ive built one in the past that took me like 3 days because it was a spawn control type thing and i had to come up with my own item sorter and i had to place half slabs all over the place. This looks so much easier! Not sure about moving a piglin but ill find a way
I don’t know if you’ve done it yet but moving the piglin is very easy with a mine cart just break the rail and push him wherever you need to go
@flexonjulian419 I haven't yet but I will eventually. With the way mobs spawn in spawn controlled mob farms changing soon I think this is how it would have to be done.
With this design an slabs. I was able to make a farm that farms the same group of wither skeletons that respawns often at 25 blocks or so away because I manually farm blazes rods. my blaze farm is great although with bedrock farms I've been unable to find a good one for my setup that pushes them into a trident killer. Being said I gain about 15 skulls a hour. Blaze rods I've haven't counted yet. I afk a bit lol. But with that said when my blaze farm is full an I clear it I usually gain 2+ stacks.

Pretty sure carpet will prevent all mobs from spawning, including the wither skeletons.
You can put wither roses. Only wither skeletons can spawn there

how so? if i remove the trapdoor and put glass instead the skeleton wont see the piglin. ive tried lots of combonations. how did you do it exactly?

I built a bigger platform for more to spawn and it feels like barley is spawning, but I prolly have to wait longer?
Maybe on your spot are just less spawninglocations. Making the platform bigger won't help. I guess..
Depends on where that intersection is in the fortress. If it’s over a lava lake, perfect. If not, then skeletons may be spawning nearby on any platforms available. Check around to see if you have to spawn proof the surrounding area.
No mobs are falling into the pit for me. It’s almost like they don’t care about the piglin? They aren’t coming near it or falling into the trap. Any advice?
If ur piglin has a crossbow it will shoot and kill the wither skeletons it's probably why ur farm won't work

I put a square of glass around the slab an boom problem solved for my piglins being killed! I have a farm farming me skulls as I manually farm blazes at a farm right next to it. It may be farming the same 3-4 wither skeletons but seems to be working for me.
What? Where did you put the glass? and was it glass block or panes. The blaze keeps killng my piglin

The sad part is I’m not Evan here to make this and get skulls I need coal for a project in hardcore and I have already smoked 4 stacks of coal

You wont get xp and the head drop rate will get lower

Does is it work better if you build scaffolding up high to an afk spot so the skeletons spawn in faster ?
Yeah i think so. Probably 24 blocks high
You can, but you need to solve the issue of the exp orbs. They’ll sit in the trident killer and may start causing lag. Since there’s no water in the nether, you’ll either have to use a skulk catalyst to eat the xp, or I think campfires will burn it. With the campfires though you’ll need to place the hoppers 2 blocks lower than the trident killer, then put campfires on the hoppers. If you use the catalyst, make sure it’s not able to spread skulk all over the farm.
I afkd for about 8-10 hours and got 9 skulls, it works but god is it slow

Does this Works on Java? Or it's only in bedrock

For those having hard time you can just go peaceful mode if possible and piglins will still spawn but will not attack you

A wither skeleton killed my piglin. Now i have to get another name tag, and a piglin.
Use golden armour instead of a name tag, works the same on piglins

Safe way to kill it is in the end. Killing it by suffocating the wither in the end portal gate. End portal gate is the portal where it takes you to the the end city. Try finding videos like that.
SilentWisperer has a really good video on killing withers. You can find a special part of bedrock near 0,0 and when you spawn the wither in, it kills it. You can do multiple at a time.

How do I make sure that the piglim don't get killed? (I keep having it get killed after 10 minutes)
Put your game in peaceful, transport him, build the farm, then switch it back to hard.
Edit: I'm actually not sure if name tagged mobs despawn when set to peaceful, so if that is the case, easy mode would be your best bet.
I have the same issue. The Piglin dies and when I go check I see a golden sword.
I'll make new attempts but using 4 additional trapdoors. He might be killed by either a corner hit from a wither skeleton.
There’s no reason to switch it to hard tbh unless you mean to do it for the piglin to get an HP boost?
