It relaxes me and keeps me tranquil listening to her explanation / tutorial .
I wrap red bricks like christmas gifts and use them wherever I need extra weight to hold Garland or other decorations.

don't know if somebody's already said this, but if use green pipe cleaners it goes up much faster than cutting the wires. Thanks for your great videos

I would absolutely do this if I had garland. A mantel. A fireplace. A living room. Or a house.
Certainly there's something that you can decorate maybe even on top of the refrigerator or a ledge or something.

I have a mantle that has a tv on it and I have struggled for some time on how to decorate it!!! Mostly the falling off of the garland!!!! Lol!!! Just beautiful! I'm seeing this just now after many years of learning the garland lessons from pure experimenting/ experiencing the hard way. This is my first year using command hooks for our heavier garland in a problematic wall. Hoping it holds. So far so good. I love the way you decorate. I also enjoy buying premade but then modify and add. It seems many decoration get modified in our home. I hear some people buy brand new decorations each year! Hard to believe! I personally think it's fun to buy special pieces and keep it as tradition. I remember certain Christmas decorations as a child that warmed my heart. After my parents passed I realized they threw out most of their Christmas decorations over the years. I was horrified! So I have started the tradition of collecting special pieces, sets/groupings I know my children like and enjoy. They may one day decide they want them as a momento to reminder of the magic of their Christmas memories.

Macstillo Watson You can definitely make your own - and if you don’t want to use fruit (cuz that gets expensive quick) you can use ornaments and berry stems instead!

In regards to the command hook: I've recently put some up on my wall for a few seconds and tried to reposition them by pulling the hook straight off, because I figured it didn't have enough time to really adhere, but that was a mistake. It took the paint right off.
My fireplace and mantel are brick and I can't find anything to hang anything from.. Not Command or any other type any ideas?

@@lindacox2904 my idea is the heavy mantel decorations for hanging stockings, seek some that will allow you to put the garland behind them or just through them. I have found uses for things besides the usual hooks.
