Fascinating! I have found very different results with my silent brass mute in the upper register. Thanks for being so obvious with your fingerings; I can only slot G's with 1, high F#'s with 0, and high F's with 2. Everything else is pretty normal. Thanks for sharing and great playing!!!
I have a silent brass as well and while it has a lot of resistance making it only something I'll use when it's not normally a good time to play, it still is probably the best solution if you're like me and also want to hear it or record it electronically
In the beginning, it was really tough to get used to it. But since I didn't have any other option to play the trumpet, I had to adapt and learn how to use it. The biggest challenge I face is keeping the notes in tune, some of my lower notes go out of tune when I play with the silent brass. But anyway, it's all part of the game.
@@hughpenner5051 On french horn we have the Bb harmonic on the middle register, after 3rd space C everything becomes very close, like you all high C and above register.
Yamaha silent brass mute. I've tried this mute and I find there is lot of resistance when playing with this mute. I find the Divitt practice mute has less resistance. Excellent playing though!
Hi Allegro! Thanks for sharing your experience, I fully agree with you. Since I live in an apartment I have no other choice but to use this mute to avoid problems with my neighbors 😅 But I will investigate Divitt, tks a lot, and have a good one!
Hi Alex! Yes, it's the weather. I am from Brazil, and this day was something around 32°C.. You got it, I am playing in a Strad 72*/43. Thanks a lot for watching.
You are doing great, man! At this age I couldn't go on C above the staff. Keep practicing and resting, which is also very important, and you will play higher and higher. What mouthpiece are you playing?

Esse é meu chefe de NIP top de mais
You skipped the Bb 😭 other than that, that was amazing
That’s because double Bb is the most evil note on the trumpet. It shouldn’t exist
If you can't Bflat, be yourself

@@jimm.s.4131 that sounds so painful, you probably need a pretty good ear to play.
@@hughpenner5051 my teacher always tells me, "If you can sing the lesson/sheet it will be easier to play"

Wow!
Thanks!
Muito bom🎺🎶👏👏👏👏👏
Question, why is the tuning slide so far out on this Strad? Weather? Horn?

I played on a 72*S for 40 years! Great horn.

Wow the highest I can go is an F above the staff. I think thats good for an 8th grader tho. Only been playing for 3 years 😅.

@@marcosjuniorTPT I'm using a 7C
You mean ontop of the staff?
@@bvssmouq6gamingofficialyt yea
@@bvssmouq6gamingofficialyt yeah, f above the staff would be crazy good.
