The way he makes it seem like this is just a daily warm up is actually impressive, not just the way he so calmly played those really high notes, but also stylistically, this is absolutely beautiful
I’ve been amazed and humbled by Allen’s playing so many pieces that I consider nearly impossible effortlessly, beautifully, and with passion, fire, excitement, and musical mastery for nearly 50 years. In 1977, just out of the Eastman School of Music he toured with Woody Herman and his Thundering Herd Big Band, and they stopped at The Brown Derby in Akron Ohio, near my hometown. His sustained, double-tongued 2 octave intervalic virtuosity, (while circular breathing no less!) on his own composition and signature feature with the band, Firebird, made my head explode! Doc Severenson was an early mentor and remains a lifelong friend of Allen’s, having met him when Allen was a high school student in Montaña. Doc, widely considered one the most disciplined and consistent players ever, as well as among the most recognizable and influential trumpeters of the past 70 years, says Allen is the most efficient trumpet player he’s ever met and heard.
Yeah, he is one of the greatest for sure! By the way, I think you just left the longest comment of all the comments under my videos! I appreciate it! 😄
This is genuinely so impressive, I’ve been playing trumpet nearly every day for 5 years and I couldn’t even think about playing this piece with the same level of accuracy and good tone as he can.
Fun fact: it's actually easier to play higher softer, so this probably took less effort than he normally puts into this range. Still absolutely astonishing though.
It's not me, i only did transcription, this is Allen Vizzutti. There is a lot different high notes exercises, but i just used long notes, nothing else)
Thank you for so quick a response. And I appreciate the advice to practice. But that doesn't explain how some can so easily play so high. There must be some technique that not everyone "gets" that you obviously do? @@AlexeyStepin
@@garyday5299 I think no, you can watch a lot of videos on UA-cam about trumpet range, but you can't develop this range in a short period of time. You need to constantly try and play this high notes, maybe try a different mouthpiece that fits perfectly. That's pretty much it.
@@garyday5299 mf protocol….in a matter of weeks you’ll get the range you always wanted(and then some) hardest part of it is learning the protocol correctly, the high note’s themselves are easy:)
@@IndianOutlaw1870 The high notes produced by the common trumpet are ugly. Not even the Marsallis can achieve a good high note. It would be preferable to use a piccolo trumpet, a solution also adopted by Marsallis to play baroque concertos.
Sounded like the horn was like "yeah man, let's sing this" and it worked along side him. Sounded so so so relaxed
His tone is so clear you can hear the other overtones so clearly. He’s just on a different level.
And undertones. You can definitely heard an E (concert D) at the end to imply that C major. Beautiful stuff!
As a trumpet player, these are the best high notes I’ve ever heard
He is great and I've met him a few times. Listen to Malcome McNab, he can play in that register and not sound high at all.
At first I I looked at the notes and it wasn’t that impressive but at the end it was insane
most people won't get how f*cking impressive this is...
Absolutely
Everybody gets it.
Everybody, gets it. High a flat. Vizutti can play much higher even.
As a brass player I definitely get it
Extremely harf
> casually with a relaxed sound
Sure, okay, fine, whatever you say man

Your father hears this anywhere! Just wonderfull
Got a masterclass from this guy and he's not a show off or anything just a genuine guy who wants to spread music and its really awesome to see
He's just the best, no forced notes, with so much ease
I can play this, but my trumpet won’t let me 😂
you are amongst my absolut favorite trumpet players - it sounds so easy playing 👍
Love your videos man! I haven’t played trumpet in a while but I’m so impressed at your ability to transcribe some of these solos
Thank you very much for such nice words!) It doesn’t take much to make my mood so much better)
Show, Show, Show. Parabéns Allen Vizzutti.
Amazing. Thank you for putting in the thousands of hours in the practice room. It's inspiring. 🎺
amazing control
Beautiful
Wow! He mastered effortless playing 🎺🎵☝🏿 🌟 🤩
Just lovely!
Beautiful! 🎺 🎶
AV that sound beyond great
As someone who plays the trumpet occasionally, the corners of my lips hurt just by watching this
I now know where I want to reach as a trumpet player. Thank you so much for posting this! Trumpet gang 4 life 🎺!
Sounds wonderful, i may try to learn this, up to the bits above high E, cant quite hit those notes yet
C minor scale, effective b flat minor due to the tonality of the horn.
Great job!!
Your tone sounded just like an English Horn. Pastoral and gorgeous.
I don't think Allen even ages in addition to his trumpet chops. He's an alien.
Amazing!!!
Well done! Bravo 👍👌👏
this is what i wish i could play smh
Exactly this….
I LOVE IT
Allen is such a cool dude.
The harmonics in that last note was insane.
Holy shit. He’s in the stratosphere.
Such clean sound
If you muted the video, you probably wouldn’t even be able to tell when he was playing those high notes!
Now imagine playing it in a church or any big room
When trumpet turns into violin
I wish. Got to practice more.Nice.🎺👌
Nice!!!
Yeah yeah high notes whatever but did y’all hear how perfectly in tune that low G was
absolutely bueatiful
Take the weak ones. If a woodwind succumbs to brass this easily they NEVER have been a woodwind and NEVER will be one
the way i cant even get a high A😭
Count me among them…..Until I really reallly listened. Amazing.
bravo

Average bd solo randomly
Wow your sound on those high notes are actually insane, I’d love to play that high, what range exercises would you recommend?

👏👏👏👏👏
How do you even do that?
😢...... Talents
Impressive. Now, tell we who can't get above a high C, how you do it; thanks.
Practice, practice and practice. It took for me 8 years to get a good range to double D

Ok I'm out. *Throw trumpet through window noise*
this room really doesn't lend itself super well to vizzuti's tone on video but those high notes are nutty
What is the utility of hi notes?
???

ok
Jackson Barbara Jackson Margaret Jackson Lisa
Wtf 😂
Sounded crap and unmusical.
˃ᴗ˂
Aw man I thought it was good, mind posting a video showing you doing it better?
