I agree. This channel only came to me a few months ago. It’s the best nintendo journalism around. Better than many “content creators” who just nick other tweets and painfully stretch out the “news” and rumours discussions with clickbait channels over and over through 10 videos to play the UA-cam algorithms despite having nothing real to say.
I mean, this channel definitely seems to grow. When I started watching a while ago, it had way less subscribers. So, I believe the growth comes slow and steady
I love the information you focus on. It’s a unique offering among Nintendo UA-camrs and your videos have become staple clicks for me really fast. Hope your channel gets the attention it deserves as Switch 2 hype/discussion builds over the next months!
When a real expert of Nintendo starts talking, everyone goes silent. There are only two people in the world I would consider to truly have that title. Scott Wozniak, and whoever it is behind Nintendo forecast.

I quite enjoyed this video. Fascinating to learn more about the complexities and logistical challenges involved in not just the manufacturing process, but also the timing. A video on the distribution process would be awesome. Keep up the great work man.
I'm particularly curious to see how they're handling (or trying to) Joy-Con drift. Unless I'm mistaken the community has never found the actual cause of it, just a variety of solutions that may or may not work on any given controller.
The community has never found a definitive solution, from what we can tell it’s a poor structure that causes dust buildup, a result of al of the tech crammed in them.
i think they'll just solve it by making them bigger, considering the (reportedly) increased size of the system itself. they can use more traditional analog sticks, e.g. switch pro controller, which are far less prone to drifting (though... they do still drift occasionally)
There's indeed fix found by the community and and the good thing is it only needs a piece of paper.. The issue is a mechanical one where the bottom metal part which handles contact to the stick itself become loose over time... The paper ensures that said metal will not become loose. Also Ifixit has a nondrift joycon for sale where they redesigned the joystick metal casing addressing the issue and to be more fortified..
Love the videos NF. You cram so much detail into many varied points while making the video have clarity of direction. You have a terrific cadence of speech thats both confidence and light, you dont drone on, you pepper the deep dive with light humor without it being about the humor, which for me creates a very genuine easy going demeanor. I feel like this channel is made just for me. We have similar accents too. Kinda feels like im having my ear talked off by a hyper focused friend. ❤ Keep it up my guy. You're videos are the best.
I appreciate the shoutout, but given the official announcement that NWC NES edition is launching in July, that'll push my timeline to September or so for the event. I'll consider my prediction good if both: A. An IRL NWC event happens B. The Switch successor is introduced at the event
Great video! I don't know of many other channels that talk this in depth about these kinds of topics! One area for improvement would be the text scroll speed when you're reading a quote :) Either slow down the scroll, or give us a static image; the scroll was quicker than you were speaking a few times :) Keep it up dude! Really great content!!!
Great video, but keep in mind that the spike in prices during Covid (and also the ensuing inflation) was mostly caused by Supply shortages rather than by extraordinary demand increase. Yes demand did increase, but supply decreases were the main culprit and is still the main reason for inflationary pressures today.
I have to disagree with you slightly at the end of the video. I think the Switch 2 will release a little later than the end of this year. They went out of their way to announce a switch exclusive direct for the remaining fiscal year plus, I am pretty sure they have gone on record on wanting to beat the PS2 sales which would require a little extra work at the end. Either way, fantastic video.
I try to keep well ahead so I can have bursts of time where I do a bunch on the channel and periods where it just ticks along while I concentrate on other things. Although there were two videos this week responding to the news which I don't generally (often can't) do.
they just need to NOT replicate the issues the WiiU had when advertising. ofc the reveal of the switch and wiiu are NIGHT & DAY difference, they just need to keep that consistency now. I mean i own a WiiU but its safe to say the game pad isnt a great selling point, save a couple games that make good use of it. Also not repeat the 3DS launch issue with it being so overpriced... i think theyll do fine, gamers arent that hard to figure out, just market it being a stronger switch and add 1-2 more features and theyre golden.
The 3DS' problem was that it was expensive, released towards the trough of a recession, AND had basically no compelling software in the launch window. When it got compelling software and when its price was slashed it recovered really nicely. It's a trap Nintendo COULD fall into but the very fact that they apparently delayed the Switch 2's launch date to make sure the launch software lineup will be solid is really reassuring it won't. I don't think the Wii U's failure is even possible for the Switch 2. The Wii U fed off of Nintendo having basically dead 2011 and 2012s for the Wii and enthusiasm for it falling off dramatically coupled with a combination of doubling down on the Wii branding right when it was losing appeal while having very little of "Wii" style software for people who would be interested. The Wii U was a hardcore Nintendo fan machine stuck with Wii casual branding and ended up making neither side really happy or trusting of it. Switch is not only stronger than the Wii ever was but its popularity never really faded like the Wii's did over its lifetime. A lot of people want the "Next Switch" in ways people didn't really clamor for "the next Wii." I think the 3DS' failure of having a too high price point and not enough compelling software at launch is way more realistic than a Wii U repeat.
@@pattersong6637Even then I kinda doubt a 3ds repeat here. They are taking a bigger risk here so they probably have more studios dedicated to making sure switch 2 has a good launch
The 2DS is actually a single screen, single board console to reduce costs which then mandated the slab form factor. This is interesting as manufacturing simplicity could reduce features however a balance can be achieved and smartphone component suppliers have progressed in their tech since 2017 and 2011.
I think that we're going to see the Switch 2 and the Switch Lite co-existing, similar to their home/handheld devices before the Switch. Big AAA games go to the Switch 2; smaller games and HD ports go to Switch 1. We're still going to see games support for the Nintendo Switch for years to come. (Of course, this would mean backwards compatibility would be a given).
2:36 not really, 8 years is pretty close to a standard console lifespan just a bit above average but the situation it was made in was pretty extraordinary
It's weird because I checked this but I can't seem to preview them ahead of time so have to fix them after. I also don't get why it seems to be bringing them from another video. Sorry - but hopefully they're working now.

You should make a video predicting the switch 2 launch lineup!
If the Switch 2 is successful, it will be the first consecutive success (of a mainline console) since the NES and SNES.

If the new Switch doesn't take advantage of DLSS of some kind I will be absolutely BAFFLED
It'll be interesting if they can somehow shoe horn DLSS into back compat to make existing switch games look better on modern displays.
This put me to sleep, but very informative.

dude your always slightly late to the leaks, there are leaks that the switch 2 will have 12gb LDDP5 7500MT ram
That would be a massive step over the steam decks 5500Mhz memory.
Would be roughly 120GBps.
if Nintendo next console is not more powerful than the current steam deck or other pc handhelds it's definitely game over for Nintendo
Delusional lol. As long as its better than has good software then it swill sell like hotcakes
Come off it pal. The switch sold 15.7 million units in the last financial year. Steam deck hasn't even broke 10 mil units in 2 years.
