- I have some Data Acquisition / Control Units from Hewlett Packard. Model 3497A and 3498A. Let's take them apart and see what things are inside.
These are devices used to control and measure lab experiments or to automate factory and production line operations. It allows I/O and measurements to be computer controlled.

I always love taking apart old electronics like that and salvaging parts from the boards. Some of those old parts you just can't find any more and they could be used to make some pretty unique looking projects.
Good way to find interesting components.

29:35 The 1820-2137 should be a standard MC68A00P CPU.
Does look like those switches. These ones are either worn out or very bad. Difficult to push, they don't slide smoothly.
