Here is an explanation of the trick: If you think of this as a checkered grid, black and white, if you are on a black square, and move an odd number of times, you will always land on a white square. If you are on black and move an even number of times, you will always land on black. And vice versa. I eliminated the blocks that are impossible to land on, so that's is how the magic is done. I don't wanna be that guy, but chances are, if you got out I think you miscounted. Please validate before sharing your sequence if you can

My reasoning behind why it is inevitable to have your mind "read":
For your first move, you will either land on the purpur or slime block, making the elimination of stone reasonable.
For the second move, you are an even number of blocks away from the pumpkin block, no matter where you chose initially. Wifies asked for the movement of an odd number of blocks, eliminating the pumpkin block and the possibility of reaching it.
For the following moves, similar logic applies. It does not matter where you start, for you will always be alternating the amount of blocks you are away from your target block by the pattern of even, odd, even, odd, etc., making it impossible to win, since an even number of blocks between the purpur and slimes does not matter since it started with even, and abiding by my logic, whether you are on purpur or slime doesn't matter.

The game deals with parity (odd or even). Wifies says to move an even amount, then eliminates a square that takes an odd amount of steps to get to. They never remove a block that you could possibly be on. This is easier to see if the grid was a black and white checker board. If you’re on white and move an even number of spaces, you are guaranteed to be on a white space

There are 7,525 possible moves. That’s crazy to think about. What’s even more crazy is that it’s a 1 in 3.27 chance of him winning instead of you.

i am not moving at all.
Every time he asks you to move a certain number of spaces, there are a number of the spaces that are impossible to be on. He guesses the impossible spaces each time until he corners you into the last two wich you will always be on gold. It's all set up because he makes you start on stone.

OK. If you are reading this comment you've probably seen the long train of argumentative replies about whether or not it is possible to be on a square that Wifies chooses. I read a lot of these comments and actually went through the video and thoroughly tested if this was possible myself.
.
And the answer is: It's NOT
.
Let me explain why:
.
This video works using 2 principals. In order to understand these two principles, you have to look at the square as a 5x5 checkerboard like so:

(the X's are the black spaces, while the O's are the white)
.
AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT MOVE DIAGONALLY
.
By studying the checkerboard, you can see the two principles that make this video work:
.
PRINCIPLE 1: It is IMPOSSIBLE to move from an "X" space to an "O" space when moving AN EVEN NUMBER OF MOVES, and vice versa (you can't move from an "O" space to an "X" space)
.
PRINCIPLE 2: It is IMPOSSIBLE to move from an "X" space to another "X" space when moving AN ODD NUMBER OF MOVES (the same rule applies to moving from "O" spaces to "O" spaces)
.
If you don't believe these principles are true, try them out for yourself on the checkerboard above.
What wifies does in the video, is he uses these to principles to determine which type of space you MUST be on (X or O) and then chooses the other type.
.
For example:
We start on Stone which is an "X" space. He then tells us to move "1". "1" is an odd number, therefore, because of principle #2, Wifies Knows we are No Longer on an "X" space, and therefore chooses an "X" space to be eliminated (in this case that would be stone).
.
I hope that makes sense.

If you still have any doubts, or don't understand, please reply to this comment and tell me the problem. I do admit that it is possible that I might be wrong, no one has been able to Actually Prove me wrong.
I know that ALOT of people have supposedly had Wifies remove the square they are on. Unfortunately, I think that they made a mistake in counting or keeping track of where they are. (and no that does not mean that they are stupid as certain people have said).

If you want to prove me wrong, please show me a sequence of moves that would result in Wifies removing the square you are on. Until then, just saying, "But it happened to me!" is meaningless.

think of the grid as this:

Let's say you're on an X square.
As you can't move diagonaly, when you make one move or any odd number of moves you will change square and go to an O square.
If it's an even number of moves you will stay on an X square.
Knowing you start from the stone (X) he can make you switch to an O square by asking one move and then he eliminates an X case. He asks for 5 move (odd number so you switch to an X square ) and he removes an O square.
etc etc...
So if you won, you must have done an error somewhere in the game so try it again.

I actually got out on crafting tabled, but I was pretty close. It is definitely not inevitable to lose, since I had many instances where moving the requested amount of blocks would let me win. Still, you got a lot of ppl so congrats

The trick is simple logic. If he moves 3 squares he knows you're not on any squares that you can only reach with an even number. For example, if there were 3 choices.

3 4
and the same rules apply, if he said I wan't you to move three spaces from 1, it's impossible to get back to one, no matter how hard you try.

On any given turn you can only land on half of the blocks. Notice how every time the block removed is an odd number of spaces away.

Yeah, this is designed so that you cannot stay on one block all of the time, which allows him to remove blocks, otherwise he wouldn't be able to win.

I’m not seeing an explanation in the comments so I’ll just put one here for all who are interested in how this works. Envision the board as a checkers or chess board. What you notice is that each square can be labeled as either black or white.
if you are asked to move an even number of times, then the color you start on will be what you end on; ei, if I start on a black square, I must end on a black square.
If you are asked to move an odd number of times, then the color you end on will be switched.
Because he starts you out on the upper left square, let’s arbitrarily label it as white, he fully knows what color you must stand on the whole game and can thus eliminate the opposite color that you are on.
Finally, blocks that are removed will never create two islands and all blocks on the map will be touching eachother. This is to prevent a split in where people are.
Edit: if you go diagonally, or miss a chance to move, your color will have swapped and you will not be on the square he guessed
