    Junkyard Junkie,
Thanks so much for your video..my top wouldn't go up intermittently and I took it to a pro convertible top place where they charged me $100+ to diagnose the switch as the problem but also said the Ford dealer said the part was obselete. Of course you can find anything on the internet. I did find a Ford switch online for $30 and put it in myself . My 2005 didn't have the inner cover and I was a little hesitant to pry the sucker off but I got it.
Think I'm going to give a little shout out to the pro place and tell 'em thanks for nothig,
    You rock
    GO BILLS!!!!!!
    Mike

Mike Perillo When I press my switch. The top doesn’t go down and you know how both windows are suppose to go down when you press the switch. Well only the driver side window goes down. Do you think it’s the switch? I tried the relays already and also the hydraulics fluid was not empty.

This sounds like you’ll have to have a more in depth approach. When you hold it down does the convertible motor sound like it’s trying to run? With only one side rolling down I’m thinking it’s an electrical problem (I’m assuming if you use the door switch it will roll down properly?). Where I would start is first take off that passenger side door trim. Then I would have someone hit the button as I check for power to the window motor. If there’s no power then you’ll have to chase a wiring diagram backwards looking for where the fault is. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

@@JunkyardJunkie You assume correct. The windows roll down and roll up properly from the door switch.
What do you mean by the passenger side door trim? You mean where the switch is right? Like next to the door handle?
And thank you so much !

      Ok
So when I say door trim I mean the whole panel on the passenger side. This way you can check power going to the window motor actuator directly.
You’re very welcome. Good luck and I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

If the windows are going down every time and up when using the switch it’s not going to be your switch. This is where you have to diagnose if it’s the motor or not. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
