Hi Gabriel, Welcome to Georgia, a country in the Black Sea region of Europe in the Caucasus. Just in case, yes, this is one of the Georgian Catholic churches in Tbilisi, named after Peter Pavlov, Georgian Catholic churches also operate in other regions and cities of Georgia. Also, Georgian Catholic Church of the City of Batumi, which was built with the financing of the famous Georgian Catholic brothers Zubalashvili at the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century, so other Georgian Catholic churches that were able to escape from the destruction of the Soviet Bolsheviks should be returned to the Georgian Catholics. There is also other Georgian Catholic Church in Tbilisi named after Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin ..Also, some historical facts, In this regard, the latest historical / archival / written data revealed that Georgians, Georgian church, Georgian rulers, well-known representatives of Georgian society for centuries tried to maintain church unity. The Georgian side, the Georgian Church did not participate in that church division of the 11th century and recognized the Pope and had mutually positive relations with the Pope of Rome, and the church division and the corresponding formation of Christians into Orthodox and Catholics took place much later due to external historical events, factors, accordingly, the formation of the current type of Georgian Orthodox Church occurred only about two and a half centuries ago, and in subsequent times there were much more Georgian Catholics than now, whose share in the history of Georgians, Georgia, in Georgian culture, science, education and other areas is also fundamentally positively significant in a place with Georgian Orthodox...
Tbilisi's beauty is highly captivating! This video splendidly presents the city's rich history, culture, and stunning architecture. Tbilisi's charm is truly undeniable. Thanks for sharing this wonderful glimpse!
Brought back memories!! I met a guy in fabrika hostel, unfortunately very hard to maintain a relationship as he was Iranian. I loved Tbilisi so much, has a great vibe. Seeing some of the sights made me cry. Was a great and crazy time in my life. I now have 2 sons!!!
Thank you for the tour of Tbilisi. I agree with you that this is one of the most interesting cities in the world. The feeling is very pleseant and cosy. I am impressed by the street art.
A blessed Good day sir Gabe, Wowwww What a nice Beautiful Interesting City of Tbilisi Georgia, So Many Different Unique, Sculptures, Cultures and cool City to Explore, Thank u so much for your Wonderful Walk around tour video Godbless from the Philippines 🇵🇭🙏🙂 🙂🙏♥️👏👏👏😍👏👏
Very nice looking city...cool street art. Looking at a map I'd never imagine Tbilisi to be like this. Great food choices at the restaurant too! Cheers!
Tbilisi feels like it has quite an exciting vibe. Interesting street art, beautiful old buildings mixed in with modern. Really enjoyed your in-depth tour of this fabulous city. ❤
Hi Gabriel, you got into the heart of the city, and you found various amounts of street art. It must have reminded you of Seattle or even Montreal which also has incredible street art. You do find this kind of art in major cities and when you do it's usually extremely abstract. The church is unreal in every proportion you're just not going to find this type of work anymore, the masonry and marble work are breathtaking. What you see now are glass and sheet metal designs interesting, but the stonework is more detailed and exquisite.
From this video, it makes me feel that the history is so rich that even the cobblestones have a PhD in storytelling and even the buildings have more stories to tell than your nosy neighbor! Kidding aside, thanks for always sharing a brief information and for sharing places that worth to visit. I hope someday, this country would be featured on my show, too.
Interesting history from Liberty square, something I haven’t heard about before. Cool street markets. Some of the street art is just graffiti, reminds me of Athens, although some of it is pretty good. 😃👍
Lots of street dogs in Georgia, they are all mostly vaccinated from rabies, you can tell by the ear tag on the dogs. Locals feed them also. Very friendly dogs 🐕
I know I asked if you ever considered travelling with a companion or your nephew.. but please don’t get me wrong.. I love and enjoy your channel just the way it is ❤
Gabriel, I know you probably check the weather but just in case, there could be a cyclone type storm in the Mediterranean this week. Flooding expected in Greece. Stay safe!
@@GabrielTravelerVideosSo glad you weren’t there during all that bad weather. The big weather news over here ( US) is a storm that could become Cat 5 Hurricane Lee. Currently not forecast to hit US but creating huge news.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I actually did watch all of it at the time. It was great! I was born there so it was nice to see an American/Canadian visiting the motherland.
Nice flee market, but no Hawaii t-shirts 10:12 Dudes drinking beer at the playground 😮. Try this in NYC. Two glasses of whine? Is it really that good ?
Crazy when he just started reading off the wikipedia like bro what aren't you supposed to know this you're a tour guide right whats going on here maybe this is just not the kind of video I thought it was
Gabriel. To think that if everyone does what you do, all move about the planet all the time! How different the world would go. You have the right idea;) I can get my stuff right away Gabriel.
Eastern bloc countries all belonged to the Soviet Union. Members also included Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Yugoslavia.
In restaurants and cafes, menus are written in Russian. But for some reason it is not visible in Ukrainian. Although there should be more menus written in Ukrainian.
Uhh, no one can read Ukrainian except for Ukrainians and people from like a dozen countries could read Russian. It's way more accessible in that way. Still there should be a Georgian menu first and foremost.
You just had to put in a Slavic song in the background again?! Is it that hard to find an authentic Georgian song? Would you enjoy a video of me visiting New York City while having some Indian song in the background? I'm not offended or anything like that but I just think it's stupid and out of place. Anyways good luck and hope you enjoy your stay here.
Hi, if you watch my other videos then you will see that I regularly use music that isn't specific to the particular country. It's more about the mood of the scene. Also there are copyright issues, so the music that you can use is very limited. It would be very hard to find Georgian music that wasn't copyrighted so that I could use it in a youtube video. I have to work with the music that I have. ✌️
I believe you but at the same time I've seen countless UA-cam channels that use authentic Georgian songs as background music. Wonder why they don't face the same problem. @@GabrielTravelerVideos
There could be various explanations. They might not monetize their channel, in which case they can use copyrighted music. If the music is being played live then it likely won't be flagged, even if you monetize your videos. Or perhaps they managed to get permission from an artist to use their music. But that would be a complicated process that would take a lot of time. In my case it depends which country I'm in. There's lots of copyright free music to be found from certain countries such as India, Greece, Mexico, Ireland, etc. So in my videos of some countries there will be music that's more local, though it's kind of generic music. But even in that case I don't want to use just the local music, because it might not always match the mood of the scene. But as far as authentic local Georgian music, that won't be available in the sources of music I use. I talked more about where I find my music in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vVXMfASGaUs/v-deo.html

The tree lined streets and lovely stone buldings remind me of parts of the inner older suburbs of the South Australian capital of Adelaide, Australia.

That's incorrect, none of those countries were part of the Soviet Union.
My mistake, they were part of the Warsaw Pact and considered by many to be Soviet Puppet states.
