Unfortunately it is as bad as it was in the GH6. I tested both side by side - my complete review will come out in a few days. Anyway, recording 5.8K 30fps the GH7 with it's brand new battery was running for only 10 minutes longer than my GH6 with it almost 2 year old battery.
That’s somewhat of a relief, as I thought I was doing something wrong. It is kinda shocking that the S5IIX’s runtime is significantly better using the same battery. Odd.

@@gravitymediapro I'm totally with you. I thought because of the new VENUS engine processor we would see a much longer battery life

Yes, you still can grab a frame from your video footage.
It's true.. it is an amazing camera that I'm testing now since a few weeks here on UA-cam :)
