Aches is 6th. Since BO2 he won 14 🏆 (2 💍) , that is superior to Simp/Abezy 8 🏆(2 💍) and Arcitys 9 🏆 (2 💍). You cannot argue “trajectory” the fact is that Aches is ahead on the all time list as of 2021. Aches also competed against OpTic . “Accomplishments/time period” should’ve been added as a criteria on the list. But then this goes to my next point. Teep since Bo2 has 12 🏆 (1 💍) in 3 years which to me is still better than Simp/ABeZy/Arcitys but if not ok but you still put CELLIUM ahead?!! MC has 6 🏆 (1 💍) in the same time frame compared to Teeps 12 🏆 (1 💍).
I agree with aches being 6 but you cannot compare the amount of chips since back then there were way more chips compared to now if simp theoretically wins everything in the next 5 years he still won't have the same amount of chips as crim

The ONLY solution to an ALL -Time list is to have different categories and weights then averaging out by a number. Example:
Accolades/Accomplishments: 50%
Rings: 20%
Number of Games being a top player/MVP caliber at certain title: 10%
Longevity: 10%
Historical stats/Gunskill level: 10%
Scump for example would hold high weight on on all categories , ahead of crim imo on category 3 to 5. But less in 1-2.
With a good metric system of 1-100 for example scump being a top 10 player from BO2 to IW gives him a near 95+ in category 3 but would be lower in category 1 to Crim because of his amount of Wins. Since this holds more weight crim would be overall a 94 for example and scump would be 93.
This is the smartest thing to do 100%

Faze Ben with the recency bias. Crazy how shotzzy can play for two years, win an event in only one of those years, and still make the list.
The FaZe guys are way too high, the brackets they have won are a fraction to what older players had to play in. Theyre still the best in the game, but rings just aren't the same when you only have to win two games without pool play.
Nah man i highly disagree. Your point in the fact that they have to play less games for a ring is 100% valid but FaZe DOMINATED the whole year literally winning 4 out of 6 tournaments. They only lost like, what, 7 series on the year? That’s insane. Plus three of them already won a ring in bo4 when they did have to go through pool play. FaZe got 1st seed for being good online where half the teams had a disadvantage. People had to earn 1st seed on LAN before the CDL, just so much is different. I just think this format helps the up and comers a little too much in terms of legacy.

Aches is incredibly biased, Competition is way more competitive now not an argument. Doesn’t matter if you feel like people made more sacrifices back then to play for less reward, players nowadays are competing with the best of the best and back then players weren’t as good as they are now. I feel like era's are a huge deal. In terms of basketball, going by what Aches was saying, Bill Russell would be the greatest player of all time and no one would be even close because he was so dominant for so long even though his competition was not even close to how it is today. In any type of sport/competition the players will get better and better over time.
Yeah, but that's the problem. You're saying the old cod era in bo2, nobody was good. Which is false. You also had to play way more to win a tournament. You had to play teams you couldn't study on and then some of these AM teams would make dark horse runs. You were competing against the majority of the top 30 in those events. The skill gap isn't as big as everyone makes it out to be.

I 100% agree, and prime simp is for sure beating prime nameless but I also think aches was trying to put across that although the skill ceiling was much lower back in the day. At this point you can’t have a criteria like most wins, because if it comes to ALL time old heads will get mad because “they’ve done it longer”. So you need more aggressive criteria’s. Like consistent KDR & earnings. faze Guys have more earnings than “veterans” like slasher, Parasite & Aches. They did it longer and have accomplished less than these guys. Perfect example. Cr7 and Messi were the best at age 23.. better than lámpard, Steven gerrad. Yeah Kaka and them are legends.. but Messi and Ronaldo were better than them at a way younger age. So longevity means shit in ALL time. Young players can be better in 2-4 years than veteran’s

I moooostly agree with Pat, but there are a couple objective things that need to be given context as you move throughout years. First of all, the number of events per year has been drastically different as time has gone up. There used to be MLGs/UMGs/etc. Without looking it up, I'm sure there were way more Ghosts events than Cold War events, meaning Crim and Aches (for example) had an unfair advantage in terms of racking up titles because that was their prime. Secondly, using MW home series as an example, Huntsmen won a home series where Faze wasn't there, and a home series where Dallas wasn't there. That has to have an asterisk where you win a tournament where the best players in the world aren't there.
Lastly, and this is the weakest part of my argument, but it absolutely is true. Go back and look at KDs over the years. The top KDs have been steadily declining recently. Simp had the best KD last year and it was only 1.17. That tells you that the league is getting super competitive. The same way you see numbers converge in the NBA (nobody is averaging 50ppg like Wilt anymore). It is an objectively true statement to say call of duty is being played at a much higher level today than it was even 5 years ago but definitely 10-12 years ago.
I respect players from all generations and what they have meant to the game, but you just have to see the formatting changes and the rise in popularity and admit that they skew things to the point where you can't just simply take all "wins" equally.

"All time list" and "Trajectory" Don't mix I'm sorry to say. Look at it this way Ben makes a point that some of these players have "fell off" (for example john in the last couple of years hasn't been the best) but some of the players on the list have only been playing for 2, 3, or 4 years? They haven't even had a chance to fall off. We have a lot more negative to say about the older players because we have seen more of them (I mean like years, in some cases more than 5 years). We should have a list of best "rookie type" players (3-4 years or less) and a list of players that have played the game for longer. I promise it would make this a lot easier, and guarantee a lot more people would agree.

In my opinion I feel like the faze guys right have to do way more than just winning two champs, because if you look at the entire optic dynasty they all have won like what 20, 30+ tournaments win correct?, the faze guys only have won like 7 events so far, that’s great in 2 or 3 years but if you look at someone like scump crim karma, clayster they all won tons of tournaments, sure scump only has one ring but he has won a lot and his impact, he’s the king of cod for a reason, and crim is the most winning player of all time, they have to win way more tournaments than just two rings and 7 tournament wins and also impact with their longevity of careers

@@austinh.8842 Whats why crimsix has won much more and better placings and more championships including a ring since they split lol. Scump got 7-8th at champs this year when Crimsix got 3rd. Not scumps fault but thats his team.
@@SK-gk8jw it is his fault. Scump basically runs optic and he can play with whoever he wants. People said that they had a top 2 talented team but only finished T3 once. Skill on his teams are never the problem. Putting in extra work and his lack of leadership has always been his downfall
@@austinh.8842 Lol i understand you point and we actually agree Crimsix for no.1 and hopefully karma no.2 who is my favourite player of all time. He won championships in 5 different teams and world championships in 3. Only player who changed roles and and adapted him play style for each world championship. I can gooo onnnnn why he is a bit above scump and way above clay. But people do forget how fast formal won his chips its scary.
