The way you went round Melbourne on the first lap was impressive and yeh for sure you had a lot to loose for a very big risk, definitely made the right choice👍 the adds are a pain but if it helps pay for a tyre I don't mind. Good luck with everything.@@TommyFielding

Awesome result mate, great ride. You definitely got better as you went on. The line down the hill on the first 3 laps was unusual for you, but the later tip in to Goddards certainly looks like it helps. Another lap or two and I feel like you would have had it. Great job!

I do struggle down craner I think, scared of losing the front which I have done so take it pretty ginger on the first lap or so. Even when fully up to temp though I struggle to turn the bike quickly down there, my speed trap from BSB at the top of craner was much slower than people who were doing a similar lap time. Definitely something I need to work on. I was really struggling with goddards and messed up race 1 once I got into the lead. Thankfully Tom came around the outside of my into the last corner and helped me find a better line 😆
@@TommyFieldinglol did you thank Tom 😂 I only noticed how you went down the hill because that’s what I was doing. Luckily I had some great instruction that helped me draw a big S from the run out kerb of redgate to the old hairpin. I make a long gentle arc from redgate’s runout kerb to the muddy bit just after hollywood 2 where the change of direction is, then another long arc finishing near the left kerb just before the old hairpin. It helps reduce the load on the front and gives a great flow down the hill.
I’ll try the later tip in at Goddards, I always worry about the adverse camber so I stay tighter, but later is clearly faster so I’ll steal that line too! 👍

@@shaneenticott6490 I didn’t, just in my Vlog 😆 I’m a real sucker for falling into my routine as soon as I have to go quickly, same thing happens with my body position. Maybe i’m too old to learn! Haha glad your liking the channel and finding it interesting 👌

Mint on board, entering Newcomer 600 next year, seems like everyone's on zx6r or r6 which one you recommending?
Nice! It doesn’t seem that long ago I was in Newcomers…..those are the best days 😆 I would have to say the R6 is the best choice but only because thats what I picked. Nobody at the front of the superseries on a zx6r but plenty of r6’s, 13S and BN6. Not to say the kwack isn’t capable but not that many people choose it. I think the blipper on the R6 is a massive plus. The new generation bikes are starting to show their heads at club level and they have a lot of bhp
@TommyFielding Haha looking forward to it, cheers dude looking at it 08 onwards seem like the best choice won't be spending loads so probably going to be around the 2010 mark
@@BenScatty try and get a 13S if you can 👍 make sure it’s got history regarding engine refreshes, valves can be a problem which would be obvious watching my vlogs from 2022 🤣🤦♂️
@TommyFielding I'll have to have a watch, only seen your vlogs from 2023 so far, great vids. If I had to make one recommendation it would be to put shortened full race highlights in the vlogs with your commentary 👍
@@BenScatty thanks very much :) I don’t always have the commentary for the race videos, some people don’t seem to interested in the onboards, it makes the vlogs longer and people stop watching them. Thats why I often upload those videos on their own but always grateful to hear what people want to watch / feedback. 👍 youtube is all about the viewers at the end of the day
