Here's how to perform a proper rotational box jump:
Starting Position: Stand facing the side of a plyometric box with your feet shoulder-width apart. Your arms can be positioned in a way that feels comfortable and balanced.
Preparation: Bend your knees slightly, engage your core muscles, and maintain an athletic stance.
Jump: Explode upward with both feet, pushing off the ground as forcefully as possible. As you jump, rotate your body in the air, turning towards the box.
Rotation: In mid-air, rotate your body 90 degrees in the direction of the box. If the box is to your right, rotate your body to the right. Use your arms to help generate momentum and facilitate the rotation.
Land: As you complete the rotation, aim to extend your legs fully and prepare to land on the box. Focus on landing softly, aiming for the center of the box with both feet.
Stabilize: Upon landing, stabilize your body and ensure your feet are secure on the box. Maintain balance and control for a brief moment before preparing for the next movement.
Step Down: Carefully step down from the box, ensuring proper foot placement and maintaining balance.
Repeat: Return to the starting position, reset your stance, and repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions.
