I’ve seen videos talking about ideas for a revival or reboot with the newer Disney Channel IP. Please Bob Iger, put it on D+ I haven’t seen that Halloween villain special in a decade.
0:36 Idk what that cartoon is. 3:08 Also, you're right about the indie animation being a real thing around 2010. BFDI was the first true indie cartoon that really influenced it in my opinion. Tho, it wasn't as well known until Habzin Hotel came out in 2019.
I think _Mickey Mouse Works_ is such an underrated show that captures the essence of a "classic" Disney cartoon and brought it into the modern era (at least in the late 90s and late 2000s). Not to mention that Mickey Mouse shows more personality in this show compared to his later years. I really missed his yellow house though.
My friend has a love for old cartoon and recently got the whole group hooked on Kablam. Honestly feels so nostalgic and I do miss shows that had variety of different skits in one program
The type of videos you make are amazing. A fresh voice in the animation essay scene I love it. You’re doing so good and can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future. Thank you and keep up the hard work Cords
omg you just unlocked a memory with shorty mcshort shorts! i oddly loved the boys i remember trying to drawing them as kid something about the art style i liked alot.
I enjoyed this one. If I had any creative advice for you, it would be to cut down on the silence between clip transitions. From my perspective the few seconds of complete silence is almost deafening. Other than that, you're doing a great job!
It was rough overall haha. I don’t think disney was as committed to the series as they could have been though. I still want to know how the boys ended!
Well Alex. If you don’t mind, as a comic and cartoon enjoyer, I’d like to share a few things myself, as well as perhaps provide criticism on your video since the algorithm brought me here The topics you bring up here about cartoons is a nice way of celebrating the various older types of independent creators, some that made their debut from the series you mentioned. However, the pacing and transitions of some of these topics make it hard to follow when there are long pauses. Don’t get me wrong, I learned quite a bit on programming that I never gotten access to see til it was too late, but if there was more emphasis on how this creativity influenced unique animations and stories, I could see it becoming more better and fluent to watch, especially if there were more series to talk about too that fit the category Something I do recommend that could be added to this topic is any animation film festivals that could fascinate you, and one series that I found out about a year ago: MTV’s Liquid Television. It features such a similar random block of cartoons and animations like the premises of KaBlam, but not with a host that do things in between shorts. It has some interesting works from actual comic artists, a few animators that made a huge breakthrough with their later shows and works, and even the beginnings of Pixar. Overall, I enjoyed watching this. Quite some potential here. This may be much wording, but, as a artist and writer myself who has plans to celebrate my history of watching so many cartoons myself, I appreciate learning and sharing with those that enjoy the genre as much as I do
House of mouse needs to be on disney plus
Its a crime that it isnt!
@@corduroycrook yeah we should start a riot
Why haven’t they already? It’s Mickey Mouse.
Agreed.

I think we just lived in the golden age of animation. Companies were throwing money at animation back in the day.

Unless you count Paul Rudish.
At work listening to this and it's both relaxing and a nice jump back in time. Another great video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Clicked for House of Mouse, stayed for the dope background and chill vibes. Good vid man! Really liked it
Thank you!
Anyone remember the “O’ Canada” shorts show? I think it aired on Cartoon Network and featured shorts from Canada that had a sketchbook vibe to it.
I remember watching Reruns of Kablamm! One of my favorite segments was Life with Loopy.
The Saba track in the background really did it for me! 💯 Great video essay!
Ty ty 🙏 few good things is still in heavy rotation!
Bruh how in the hell do you only have 300 some subs? This is straight criminal, you need atleast a thousand from how good this editing is.

Thanks for the tips!
Can you make a checkered past video?
Please 🙏🏻❤
What are the cartoons called
In all honesty, Shorty McShort Shorts wasn’t that good to begin with.
The rest, though, I consider pretty good.
