@@chemaha1 Hi Allan, thanks for your interest! We are currently working on a full revamp of our social media and UA-cam channel. When we do have promos we will definitely post them there. Stay tuned!
Watching this video really reminds me of my grandma’s steel wok, she cooked with it so much that she managed to wear a literal hole in the middle of it with her steel spatula that’s totally deformed from use, the food that comes out of that piece of cookware tastes like heaven. I just had it repaired for her a while ago.
I love the joy in Tristan's voice about the pans. ^_^ I dunno why this is so important to me, but it really is. This is the kind of skill that's been around forever and will always be good to know. Also, Forged in Fire kind of brought me here. : P Anyone else???
Not sure if you guys take suggestions but a really cool place that I think you guys should take a look at is Lamp Pizzeria in North Scottsdale. Matt is the main pizza cook, he's canadian, went to italy to learn how to cook pizza, and had a custom made brick oven made for his restaurant. Really good and interesting place that serves Neapolitan Pizzas.
Wow! I am so glad this popped up in my list! Very impressive and kudos to the film crew and your crew. What an awesome way to present your product. You have a great personality and told your story well, just in that video.
it's the purpose built nature of the skillet that makes me think theres basically no reason for the average person needs to have a $260 handmade pan when cast iron skillets are 30 bucks everywhere - i guess its the professional kitchen they're targeting
Awesome. That's perfect timing because I was just learning how toxic the modern pots and pans are that most people have with the toxic coating that chips off into the food in tiny particles (that same coating giving cows three eyes in lab test)
This was a super video! I’m a beginner blacksmith - if I wanted to try my hand at making a skillet, where would I get a flat round die like the one you used in your shop press? That seems like a better way to go than trying to hammer out the sides while keeping a flat bottom.
I've been following another maker out in Australia called Solidtekniks. One part of their design I find to be a smart thing is the singular piece construction that eliminates the rivets and joinery where the handle meet the pan. Really like the handmade look of your tho; theirs is slightly generic in shape. Do you make lids for your skillets and pots?
That thing is robust, i love using steelware, especially wok, it's transfer more heat, and gives a nice aroma, and physicly more efficient, but my wife doesn't, because it doesn't look fancy in the kitchen, and sometime it rust, but i ok with the rust, it easy to clean up, and it steel
@@subetai17you're absolutely right. Having a nice pan is only for suckers. Grandpa sucks and so did her pans. I like to scrape Teflon off and sprinkle it on my food.
It was really great having you guys down at our shop. The video came out amazing!
Do you guys have any promos or discounts ?
Or sales on times of the year ?

So much craftsmanship is involved. You can tell it has a handmade quality that you can’t get from store brands.

Great video, great father / son, and that = Great pan
I love seeing how much goes into one of these pans. It's definitely much more involved than one might think.
Excellent work and really fun and interesting video. Can't wait to see more.

One thing should not be ignored that the dude with the hammer has rock hard skills and as for the other dude his skills are hotter than the fire

The nonstick pans save you time washing dishes, but at a cost to our health. Not only in food but it's now found in deformed fish in rivers.
Such a beautiful product. 👏
nice beautiful pans good job guys
This pans are only for rich people.... 200$-300$... i am sure they are worth it👍🏼😉 Unique piece of art!
You can get mass produced carbon steel ones for cheaper. Plus they last for ever
More Amazing Videos Pls.

Fascinating video! There are a lot of alloys that qualify as "carbon steel." Which alloy did you use?

Love handmade utensils, fantastic work 12 in pipe for the die?
As a welder and fabricator myself having also done a lot of the kinda things and using the skills these guys do just makes this much cooler to watch
That is one great video !
How can I buy one ?
12ga mild sheet steel? that's all? not even 1055? I guess I've been overthinking all this...
Is it possible to bathe a pan in titanium?
Ya I love steel. I cook on carbon steel and cast iron while other use non stick pan. I ride chromoly steel bike while other ride carbon bike.
Blacksmiths have are lucky they just smash a hammer on hot steel for get paid for it🤷♂️
Do that for a few hours.
👍
👍👏
Can you use these on a glass stovetop?
Yes! They work great on glass top and induction.
What is the actual steel? Just 1018?
R they hard to clean?
probably pretty easy to clean if its seasoned properly like cast iron
