@@tatumhernandez1926 EXACTLY, this is partly scripted, mostly roleplay, which is what makes it so exciting. It's not nearly as scripted as people think it is. Major plot points, like big ones and super lore intensive are loosely scripted, but that's about it. Watching Wilbur recite lines of the script in his videos revealed alot.

@@lyviangellano8058 yes, its all roleplay! there are certain "lore" streams where they act, and then other streams are just normal and without acting. but the lore streams are somewhat scripted out. so basically they have an outline of points that they want to reach or things they want to accomplish within the storyline instead of a strict script that they read lines off of. they improvise the all of the dialogue and i think its super cool.

My pov
It just feels like Dream (the character) wasn't just creating chaos for nothing. He desiring chaos was only a mask to cover how afraid he is from changes, like he wants the server to became a place like before, with happines, but in a simple way and all. He saw everyone revolutionary as a threat even when they were "pacific" because they were making Dream SMP go to a different direction. With more things going on, he started wanting everything back even more. That's why he teamed up with Technoblade, not because he hated government, but because it was unpredictable and even dangerous. Dream tought that if he could destroy what they created (L'manburg) they would stop and accept not making it even more difficult to deal with. Dream hasn't ended Tommy's lifes on other situations because he still wanted Tommy to go to his side, not for power, but for what he thought would be the best for everyone. This may be the reason he wanted the discs that much, with them he could make Tommy stop here and there and sometimes do what Dream thought would make the server "go back". Tommy looks like his target because Dream thought if he could make Tommy stop, the others would start to forget (or try forgetting) everything about this "new complex server with government, perfection and etc", Tommy is one of the one who truly wished change, if he gave up, other people would start doing the same. And then we hear his voice in the end with a tired and accepting tone, he is not sad from losing a battle (or maybe he is, don't know), but disappointed from discovering change is inevitable. It doesn't matter how much he tries, the server will change over time anyway, like our world changes and adults (or most of them) say it's getting worse (and maybe it's in certain ways). Dream getting locked in Pandora's Vault is simple to understand, even if not being the creator of all chaos in the server, Dream is always involved. Now they see him as the problem of everything (and they're not completely wrong), but it is actually curious. You know, let's try connecting: in the myth, Pandora's box was created and given to Pandora because mankind was "disobeying the gods" (the server not following what Dream said), but the problem cames because she opens the box when even the gods said she mustn't do that (they continuing with L'manburg and it changing even more the server, probably after the time Tommy had given Dream the discs), making more bad things appear (deaths increasing, betraying, Dawn of 16th). In the end, the box is closed, but it's impossible to make the bad things enter the box again. Only hope is left inside (maybe an overshadowing from them needing Dream if something happens when he is in prison? The Egg? Schllat again? Wars?). Finally, I'd say Dream isn't a villain, at least not a completely evil one manipulating everyone for fun and power, but that is only my opnion. Just hope things go well now, even if I don't think so
Idk, helping Schlatt rise to power in the first place and psychological torture seems like a moral event horizon. Even Technoblade doesn't go that far, the worst thing he does psychologically is intimidate people but that's expected of someone who can win 3v21s and kill a netherite-armored enemy with a pickaxe, other people would be scared as shit and they have the right to be. Dream on the other hand actively tortures people, and unlike Technoblade whose goals to destroy governments have justification due to government being inherently corrupt on the Dream SMP, Dream's noble intentions have little substance; he wants the server to be "one happy family" but how can psychological torture forge a happy family? Sounds more like him being delusional than actually noble. After all, he cares about nobody but discs and maybe George, and goes on manipulating most other people. Ok sure, he might be able to bring people back to life, but morally speaking that doesn't matter if they are resurrected just to be tortured or enslaved. They might come back as zombies or some other twisted form that's worse than death. Yes, there are some people he cares about (Purpled), but again, there's the egregiousness and incredulousness of his actions that he takes to achieve his goals.
Tl;DR Dream is definitely not Pure Evil, but it wouldn't be fair not to call him a villain. Whatever he does is clearly for his own control rather than a prospering family. Abusive parental figures do not nurture healthy familial relationships.

after ranboo's stream yesterday i went back to see how he acted here. (for those who missed it, yesterday he found out that during this entire confrontation, he was in his enderwalk/sleepwalk state.)
there's a lot of different things. during the intro section, he's definitely his normal self - normal talking and normal mannerisms. but during the end scene, he is ABSOLUTELY in enderwalk. the slow head turns, the stares, the almost mechanical walking, the eye contact (he never makes such constant eye contact unless he's in enderwalk, cc!ranboo does a very good job keeping that consistent, so this was definitely on purpose).
throughout the whole thing, he seems very hesitant. or conflicted. or just nervous. the whole time, he tries to keep hidden - either by blending in with the crowd, staying in the back, or just being out of view entirely. he keeps glancing back at dream and tommy and tubbo and his book as if he doesn't know where to look. then, when dream is being taken away, he seems very...... reluctant? im not sure what word it would be, but something like that. he keeps looking back at dream's box, and after dream is gone, he stands below and just stares up at the elevator.
he definitely does want to protect tubbo and tommy though. he knows that dream in this moment is dangerous, and he knows (or now knows) that dream has done bad things. he isn't some """evil psychopath other half""", nor is he completely emotionless or unaware of everything around him, nor is he an idiot. enderwalk ranboo is still ranboo, but with a bit more cryptid. he cares about his friends. he can think through logical courses of action. he knows when things are evil or wrong. heck, he even did the little nod to tubbo at 59:40, thats some best friend / platonic husband kinda stuff right there.
we can't tell what enderboo (what im calling enderwalk-ranboo from now on to make things simpler) and dream's relationship is, but there's a few possibilities.
1: dream might be forcing enderboo into helping him through blackmail or threats, in which case enderboo is 100% not doing this willingly, and he doesn't agree with / like dream at all.
2: dream might have promised he can help everyone somehow if enderboo helps him, or that all of this stuff is working towards a positive goal. in this case, enderboo probably feels awful about everything he's doing, but believes it's worth it for the end result.
3: enderboo might genuinely believe in dream's ideals. you can see _so_ many similarities in their philosophies - not picking sides, the "big happy family" line, etc etc etc. enderboo might be siding with dream willingly, and of course dream manipulates everyone so it wouldn't be completely genuine between them, but it'd be more genuine than a lot of dream's other relationships. enderboo might be doing this out of an actual want to help and belief that this is the right thing to do. and actually, enderboo and dream don't seem to hate each other or anything? from what we've seen or heard about, they're pretty friendly with each other. the dream voice called them "best friends". dream said he missed ranboo's visits. i think they could have developed a sort of warped version of friendship, while working towards their similar goals.
personally, i think 3 is most likely. ranboo doesn't seem to completely hate dream during this scene. he looks almost sad to see dream go, or torn on whose side to choose. however, if option 3 _is_ true, it DOES NOT make enderboo evil. he still cares about his friends. the only difference is, dream would be included in that list of friends.
so i guess, in conclusion? ranboo was indeed enderwalking here. he seemed very hesitant to lock up dream, or to do anything during this entire scene, and there's definitely something going on between him and dream. but this is all very complicated and we don't have enough evidence yet to really tell what enderboo's motivations are.
however, whatever is going on, he *_has a reason_* - even if it isn't the best one.
also idk if you had noticed but when everyone went to go look through the hall of everyones most prized posessions. ranboo had stayed staring straight at the box but what caught my eye was he had a book in his hand. the fourth book.
