The Ferrari be at the 458 or any model or a McLaren look molded. Where the Corvette kinda looks like they stuck parts on it. From the side scoops to the rear end. Honestly, if they just change the rear end and the tail lights, it could move the car way up the food chain . It's just hard to get past the Camaro rear end. Anyhow, not a big fan of mid engine cars because they all tend to look the same but you have to be nuts to buy anything other than Z06 or zero one given the price points . The interior is just heads and tails above the rest of the market.
Just shows you how far behind GM is. They benchmark a car that’s almost 20years old. The 458 was originally designed in 06 😂. How put it up against a 2024 Ferrari
GM just made the new modern day 458 and gave it the updated technology and service center needed to make it a daily driver. It’s called the z06. Now you can drive the living mess out of your GM 458 and live in blissful happiness because it’s the better car in every way with over a decade of advancements from the og 458 ancestor that constantly needs maintenance and how dare you put high mileage on a Ferrari you are going to pay now empty your wallet and if you change one thing on that 458 you will be banned for life I’m not making this up ask Jay Leno
difference is that the 458 looks nice and elegant the Corvette looks like an american Honda Civic type R (the new, ugly versions) Corvettes looked good in the past.. but this one is so ugly. Looks like it was drawn by a child. id rather have an slower Corvette with front engines then a fast one that looks like a cheap italien copy of a supercar. performance is not everything. Sometimes a nice crossplane V8 that rumbles deeply and a slick design with long hood and an analog gear shifter is WAY more enjoyable then a rear engine track weapon.
So Chevrolet “benchmarked” car is now 10-14 years old…!! In automotive “talk” it’s damn near historic…!! I have a 458 and have driven the Z06….they are NOT the same. I’ll stay with the antique. Lol
Why are you comparing 2 cars with a decade (10 years) of technology a part between them. Moreover, why is GM using a 10 year old car as their example, if they claim to be looking into the future? That's just my opinion. 🙏🙏✌️✌️

Where the whole C8 line loses out in my opinion is, it's lacking an elegance in its design.
Now you can drive the living mess out of your GM 458 and live in blissful happiness because it’s the better car in every way with over a decade of advancements from the og 458 ancestor that constantly needs maintenance and how dare you put high mileage on a Ferrari you are going to pay now empty your wallet and if you change one thing on that 458 you will be banned for life I’m not making this up ask Jay Leno
difference is that the 458 looks nice and elegant
the Corvette looks like an american Honda Civic type R (the new, ugly versions)
Corvettes looked good in the past.. but this one is so ugly.
Looks like it was drawn by a child.
id rather have an slower Corvette with front engines then a fast one that looks like a cheap italien copy of a supercar.
performance is not everything. Sometimes a nice crossplane V8 that rumbles deeply and a slick design with long hood and
an analog gear shifter is WAY more enjoyable then a rear engine track weapon.
458 sounds just like driveclub😤 iykyk
So Chevrolet “benchmarked” car is now 10-14 years old…!! In automotive “talk” it’s damn near historic…!!
I have a 458 and have driven the Z06….they are NOT the same. I’ll stay with the antique. Lol
Great review! Looks like Northern California. What road is this?
Ferrari is sexier. I can’t afford either 👀
Why are you comparing 2 cars with a decade (10 years) of technology a part between them. Moreover, why is GM using a 10 year old car as their example, if they claim to be looking into the future? That's just my opinion. 🙏🙏✌️✌️
Take the Corvette ZO7 all day long over the 458
Roll the windows down!
The Ferrari C8 seems like the better choice
Just shows you can't TE-37 all the things. Looks like shite on the 458.
TE37s….the most played out JDM wheel on a Ferrari 🤦🏽♂️
when you start talking about HP/L means you already lost in the comparison and are just trying to give a biased review. You are recording and doing all this in the US yet you still chose the import over it. Such a huge HATE for American made and the country that actually allows you to have all this that i just don't get.
Pointless race. U got an old ass 458 against a new z06. The fact that u need to get an older car with 10s of thousands of miles on it to match with a z06 is absurd. Just be straight up. The new Z06 and ZR1 are the best cars hards down. Then add price per competition again hands down. Then add maintenance. Hands down. S9 tired of watching ppl use older super cars to match against these new GM cars. Line up a new 1 like they did the Lamborghini. It barely beat the ZR1 by .010s proof that nothing is next to them.
The 458s competitor is the Stingray. The Z06 is in a different class of cars from performance standards alone.
458 competition is not stingray lol. nobody is deciding buy stingray or 458. I have c8 stingray, c8z and 458. the c8s are better for tracking since it is under warranty. the z doesn't overheat like stingray on track. 458 get alot more respect in the road due to its prestige brand
@@goonthreegtr Performance data is there. The Stingray is a faster car on track. Check out fastest laps.
@@thiosemicarbizidebenzoylal2921 performance data has nothing to do with it. The 458 hasn't been produced for 10 years so obviously the c8 isn't a competitor to it.
No car manufacturer is targeting a vehicle that hasn't been produced in 10 years. If its not available new its not competition or a target.
@@alfredstewart5107 The benchmark for the Stingray was the 458 regardless of the FPC motor.
Fantastic!! Another review, that is copied from another review, that's copied from another review. Alarmingly unoriginal.
458 interior looks so cheap and boring
So you couldn't find someone to drive the other for a drag race. We don't care about cruising thru the mountains
Why do you always mismatch the models. Should be a 488 ferrari against the corvette Z06. Get it done.
hint: na
It's still after all, just a chevy.
A Chevy that has a hand built race motor inside of it, and competes with 992 GT3 RSs on track. Let’s not diminish what is genuinely a fantastic car.
It's an icon among sports cars and has a 70-year legacy... just a Chevy you say? The 911 itself only appeared 10 years later.
@@Luke-cb3ly And the Vette has racing pedigree on top of that.
@@danieldickerson4838 None. Sorry...
