I was browsing Twitter late last night when I say the announcement from Kotobukiya. A surprise but a welcome one to be sure. I've always liked the style of the Bishoujo line but never had the chance to pick any up. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on these. Thank you for putting out a pleasant news video. I've only seen people talking trash about this announcement. It is important to be able to voice your opinion but man, theres too much negativity going around. I hope this does well some can get more. I want to see Soundwave, Windblade, and Slipstream. Maybe even Springer or Wreck-Gar, that would be interesting. Otherwise, I'd be curious on if they'd do combiners. How would that look/work? But I'm sure their licence with Hasbro kinda guides them to doing the Big/Legendary 7 first and I'm sure they'll repaint the ever living daylights out of them.
They've done an amazing job with these two gals. I'm definitely getting that Megatron girl. The Optimus girl gives off more of an Orion Pax vibe than an Optimus Prime, Leader of the Autobots vibe. I might still get her though, we'll see. Hope we get Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave at some point, as well.

They're not for me but they seem perfectly fine. I believe the healthier the IP, the more options and variety its managers can offer to the collecting community.

Yeah, you're right. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard someone say that Sakamoto is "problematic" I'd have enough to probably buy the entirety of the Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom lines. There's nothing wrong with the female body, but these people act like it's the end of the world, whenever they see a sexy woman.
Not interested personally in statues but the designs are cool; would maybe be a good candidate for a print series? The idea of g1 megatron’s mind being in that body is hilarious to me, I’d pick up a comic delving into the concept just to get more characters out quicker; like will shockwave have an eye patch? Is Arcee a boy in this universe? I’ll keep an eye on the series just to see what the designers produce 👀
Cute anime girls dressed as transformers how could it not sell? Sadly I know this is total neck beard bait, and I am left wondering if I would be one for ordering them. ... Screw it. Hand me my neck beard mantle. lol
14yo Optimus vs 40yo Megatron. Honestly I love this way more tham the model kit Windnlade because they are sexy humam females. Having a robot with those features just felt wrong, but I ain't judging people for wanting it. Your money, do with it what makes you happy
Bishoujo line by koto started in 2009 with Rogue, widow and scarlet witch and hasn't lost any steam yet! I love this, definitely gonna grab that megs. And for reals, there are a TON of different variations to these characters already, so rather than complaining about new things, haters should just keep in their lane and continue to enjoy the 2-3 new megs/optimus that are released every year with them as the target audience. Also, there is gonna be a hatsune miku MLP bishoujo coming out later this year lol. I love my transformers! but when it comes to anime statues, that's the real thing I collect over here. Though i'll probably pass on that Optimus. She feels more like a Orion pax in personality and concept. I don't think it'll look as nice standing next to the imposing megs. But Megs will look good on any KOTO Gi Joe shelf.
For reals, that Optimus...She should have had a larger carry bag, set on the floor, with her left foot on it. a more longing look with her eyes, to seem like she is the strong emotional type of person, and i'd have zipped up her jacket with collar, so it covers her mouth. Add an energon axe in her right hand.
I like how these (more so Megatron) keep the feel of the characters while putting them in this style.

My top picks for future Transformer statues in this line? Jazz, Cheetor, Beast Wars Megatron, Grimlock, and Black Arachnia.

I don't think that's the case. It just so happens that the IDW part of the fandom is especially loud. THEY absolutely hate the female body lol

I find this a lot more acceptable than the kiss players content. In comparison to that, this is okay.
