I am able to purchase higher end gear now but my first mech keyboard was from redragon and i am happy to see them make quality products for people on a smaller budget like i once was
i bought the H510s and i've been using them for 6 months now and the pleather has been flaking off and it seems im not the only one with this longevity issue. In addition the usb cable with the inline controls have also stopped working in just 6 months could just be my luck but i've also seen similar reports on reddit and under the amazon reviews. Just something to keep in mind when considering this headset please do thorough research before purchasing and remember that a detailed longevity test could save you some money. PS Techne you should use some products for a month or two and see if your opinions about them change over that time it'll be greatly appreciated and you'll be helping a lot of folks out.
@Diego Mejia honestly they still work and the sound quality hasn't worsened. my only gripe would be the pleather tearing and flaking. If an issue arises you can contact their customer support and see if you can get a replacement.
@Diego Mejia Just remember, The USB Connector of the H510 is shit and its hard to find a replacement for it. Mine broke after 6-7 months and im stuck using the 3mm jack. Great headset overall. You can easily buy replacement ear pads incase the leather breaks. Bought one for like 3 bucks lmao
I have my 510s for over a year and started flaking a little bit now, a friend of mine started flaking before mine even though mine are 2 or 3 months older than his. They still sound the same, the mic is one of the best i've heard so far because most of the gaming headsets mic sounds as if you were the captain of an airplane. (Don't know if I said it correctly or not but I hope you get what I mean)
The 3.5 connection for the mic is a lil clearer and volume definitely louder then USB connection. Imo the 3.3 is definitely the better connection to use. Great review. I personally have one of the Red Dragon RGB keyboards on another pc and it’s VG and cheap!
Hey did you really get these headset because if you bought it i would like to ask you if it hase the (crosstalk) voice leaking problem or it's good because I wan't to order it too thanks
@@mohamedbadr6307 I havent noticed any voice leaking. the only problem with the headphones is that you NEED to use equalizer to make them sound good, by default when you plug them in without any equalizer settings, they sound like garbage also I got them for only 25$ from a very good deal at the time, I wouldn't pay more than 35-40$ for them. The mic is very good tho

See H510 and H520 mics are sooo good! Seems like he didn't switch mics in the mic test (7:40) , I thought he just lower the volume. Best sounding headset mic in a headset. Even compared to those 100-200$ premium gaming headsets with mic that sounds like talking to a phone call. Watching this video with my H510 btw (which his video convinced me to get one). Awesome!
How does this compare to the Zeus you reviewed in the $50 headsets video? I'm new to headsets and would love to get one of these as a budget entry option
@@bysaturnplay I agree after my hyperX stinger broke i bought the mpow air se for $20 iv had it for 6 months no problem but the redragon h510 broke after 2 months of regular use
I was hoping to hear you talk more about "comfort" like comparing it to "H510 Zeus" that you reviewed earlier which also I have at home. Is it more comfortable? What about bass & treble compared to H510 Zeus? Thanks for the good review.
I use the redragon 7.1 mode for movies, but for gaming I turn that off and switch to the Dolby Access app and turn on Dolby surround sound. Way better directional queues
My impressions watching this video is that I don't feel compared to the Redragon Zeus headset, I feel this is a step back in some ways. I own both styles of the Zeus 510's, and the biggest missed opportunity on these is not having a detachable cable. Or, if you are going to have a fixed cable, then I think ALL gaming headsets with 3.5mm should by default have a 90 degree connector. This is a must for controllers. If the cable isn't detachable, then I wont even consider a headset without this. It is only a practical choice. By the way though, great video as always.
Hey techne, I recently purchased the razer kraken headset and I’m not sure if I should keep it or return to my arctis 5. Which one do you think is better?
Hi guys! Anybod try this with PS5? I want to know it's working with it and how good is the microphone with PS5. Thanks for help and thanks for the review!
Idk if anyone knows how to fix it or an alternative. I recently bought this headset (not even a week ago) and it works fine except that I can't use my mic, I'm using an aftermarket controller on my Xbox 1 (the powerA Fusion pro wired controller) and it works fine with audio and I can hear everything but I can't talk and idk what to do I've tried rebooting my Xbox, I can update my controller (guessing cause it's aftermarket) and I've lost hope tbh 🤣😂 can I use it with the USB connection? If so how?
I would stick with the HyperX. From my own experience with RedDragon products, they are cheap for a reason. Their reliability after some use is questionable, if you are able to afford the HyperX, I would go with them all day long. If not then go with the RedDragon and hopefully a few months from now, the product can still hold up.
