    I have little tools to study japanese at home, i have a book on japanese writing, some books written in japanese but that's about it. Your videos are the thing that is teaching me japanese. Yes, i learned writting alone, and yes i can learn japanese words from the internet. But you have made me learn so many other things like particles, improper and proper speach and so on. Your lessons are easy to understand, easy to write down on paper, and fun. Thank you for all your videos that you put so much effort into. You do not know how much it helps.

    Thank you sensei for these videos! they are wonderful! I have just started learning Japanese and I was very excited to come across your videos. I wanted to enroll in the complete course but I see that you are “retiring” the complete course. However, in other places in the course description it is said that sometimes courses are just shut down for a short period of time. So does this mean the complete course is being paused until you’re ready to take more students or do I take it literally that the courses will be retired and therefore not open again in the future?

    • @YukoSensei
      @YukoSensei  Рік тому

      Susan-san, Thank you for the positive feedback about my lessons! The complete package "retiring" means it will close its door to new students. Once you get in, you own the package and have unlimited access to its contents even after it "retired." Many students are already in the package and they will keep learning in the package next year and beyond. I apologize that I wasn't clear. I hope this clears things up for you!

    pls can someone help.. A friend told me about a *ne ね which is used to mark SPACES* and she gave me an example: (that i cant translate fully 💔😔)
    *きょうはねあめがねたくさんねふってるね* but the *added ね's make it EVEN more confusing..* 😭
    How do i know where *each word starts and ends* when i write/ read a sentence? 😭😭
    And can i write it as: きょう は あめが たくさん ふってる ね i need spaces so i know where EACH WORD is

    • @indigofenrir7236
      @indigofenrir7236 Рік тому +3

      ね is a colloquial particle which roughly translates to, "hey", "right?", or "see?" and is used to check that you agree with the speaker's point (affirmation).
      You need to learn the grouping of the words in the sentence. In your example, 今日は雨が沢山降ってる。(It's raining a lot today), we can break it down into
      [今日は] + [雨が] + [沢山] + [降ってる]
      [きょうは] + [あめが] + [たくさん] + [ふってる]
      [Topic] + [subject] + [adverb] + [verb]
      [Today] + [the rain is] + [a lot] + [falling]
      The spaces in between are where you can insert ね.
      You will notice that the topic and the subject end with a particle. When breaking down a sentence, non-colloquial particles are always a part of the word before it. Thus, ね will be placed after. So you can't say 雨ねが降ってる。
      Your friend is adding ね to make sure you got what she's saying, and it's commonly used by females. The English equivalent would be, "Today, get this... The rain, see, is falling, like, very hard, right?"
      If you use it too many times, then of course it gets confusing... and annoying.

      forexamplethisiswhatJPlookslikewhenitryandread.Asyouseem,ithasno"spaces",soitisveryhardtomakeoutwhereeachwordstartsandends

    • @indigofenrir7236
      @indigofenrir7236 Рік тому

      @@PCs454 You are writing with just kana without spacing because you are still practicing. It will look like this: こんやはだんごをたべたい。(I want to eat dango tonight.) That's why it looks hard to read.
      But with kanji, it will look like this: 今夜は団子を食べたい。There's a noticeable difference. However, you're probably still too early for kanji.
      For now, rather than struggle with kanji, you should learn what the Japanese of basic words are in hiragana or katakana so that when you read the sentence out loud, you'll be able to identify them.
      You should also write your practice sentences by spacing them properly while separating the particles, like this: こんや は だんご を たべたい。so you won't get confused.
