Hello from Japan. I was looking for someone from abroad who sings this song...and I found it. It was a really wonderful performance with a light rhythm. In Japan, there was a big earthquake at the beginning of the New Year, and I arranged and sang this song as a cheering song and uploaded it on UA-cam. I am very happy to have a Japanese song performed like this.
As I said im Australian and I think he and this song is the best .... been listening to it since I was so young ... omg and its lovely to hear all the beautiful comments ... God bless him you guys hey... can't get enough of this song ...... I love it so so much... much loved ... ❤❤❤

10/21/24 Awesome vrsion of 上を向いて歩こう. Ive loved this song since 1962. I was 8 & taught myself to sing it phonetically. I could sense it was very sad despite the lilting, upbeat tempo. It wasnt until the 1980s that I found a translation & discovered just how sad & tragic it is. Heartbreak is heartbreak 💔& it is universal - no matter what language. Thank you/arigato for sharing your wonderful rendition.

Another favorite I've tried to learn is Adriano Celentano's "Il Ragazzo Della Via Gluck". Not knowing the language makes it much harder to remember the words, but if you love the song, and love to sing, persistence is key.
