  • Since I started working from home and socially isolating three weeks ago ago, I've been walking locally with my family everyday and riding about once a week. I have the enviable good luck of being in a rural spot with more walking route options than I hope to cover before this is over. That said yesterday I had an hour or so "sanity ride".
For us riders, road or MTB, riding is not just a way to stay fit, it's a way to stay sane. Clear our heads and reduce anxiety, I work out most of my problems in my head space during climbs and arrive at the decents feeling lighter for it. .
    Just remember .
    Not Gnar
    Not Far
    Not by Car.

Ive been concentrating on technical single-track steep climbs and local fire roads and tame trails away from anyone

Or to put it another way, you could have a small smash, something minor but that needs A&E and end up getting the covid/novel virus in intensive care on a respirator.
