After 90 minutes of perfect riffs and spot on transitions... he picks up the double neck and nails it. Any of you who play an instrument will understand. All of them are professionals in every sense of the word.

His voice was seriously starting to go in 2006-09, it's pretty miraculous how strong his voice is now. Just compare this to the original Neverender it's like night and day
He needed those backing singers at Neverender. Missing lines in songs used to really bug me too. Glad his vice is rocking again! This whole set was so good!!!
My guess is that he's gotten the guitar parts down so well that he's putting more effort in to his vocals. Also I couldn't help but notice they're playing more vocal backing tracks now than they used to.

Dude my family are professional musicians. I’ve been playing drums since I was 4, guitar since I was 12, and singing the whole time (momma was a singer). We’re talking over two decades of heavy play. Highly skilled on both instruments but… I just can’t play and sing. I can’t. It’s fucking crazy tbh. Fucking magic.
Multitasking at its best. Same as marching with an instrument. You have to memorize the songs, know when play louder or softer, slower or faster, all while remembering where to move on the field. When to stop moving, when to start moving, using your peripheral vision to mind the people next to you so you dont collide with them, and also watching the drum majors or directors. It's crazy.
The Dark Sentencer has to be one of the best tunes Coheed has ever written. Right up there with classics like the Suffering and Time Consumer IMO. So much influence taken from these guys
On the influence thing for sure bro. I have a band and we're still working out our kinks but we're either gonna call ourselves The Prise or The Fall of the House Atlantic. I've been listening to these bad motherf*ckers since I was born. Seen them once live and it was the best thing ever. When they're dead that will be the day music truly dies. In 2005, about 10-15 of us went to a Coheed show at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus Ohio. Our friends dad dropped all of us off in the back of the venue and when we got out Claudio walked out of his tour bus and we all swarmed him. He signed all our tickets and was a really nice guy.. He is really really short though.. I would say about 5'6 or 5'7

Gerardo Aguas-Baterísta/Drummer I can agree. Once the black rainbow came out I’ve lost my appeal for coheed. They put on a great show but I can’t get in to their new music. I think I lost interest when I saw them back to back shows in Cleveland for Halloween and they played the exact same set list. It was a disappointment. They do put on a great live performance though.
Never heard of them, then today a silly song on the radio about "Jesse's girl 2" came and liked the flow and nostalgia..., 3 hours later I've consumed everything youtube could offer. This is an incredible band the sound is perfect, great lyrics, I became a fan on the spot

I agree. Zach is a fantastic bassist who has melded well with the Coheed family. He seems to know how to lay out bass lines that fit well rhythmically and technically with their songs. That and he seems like an all round good dude.

I was introduced to these guys a few months ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. IKSOSE3, GA, NWFT & UC have been the only albums I’ve listened to for months and I still can’t get enough. A phenomenal band, definitely on my greatest artists of all time list!

Caught them with Mastodon and Every Time I Die in May. Hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. I honestly have no fucking clue how Claudio's voice has managed to get STRONGER after two decades of relentless touring.
These guys opened for Incubus in Wilmington, NC and I knew nothing about them. I became an instant fan. What an INCREDIBLE live band. I look forward to seeing them again soon!

Caught them with Mastodon and Every Time I Die in May. Hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen. I honestly have no fucking clue how Claudio's voice has managed to get STRONGER after two decades of relentless touring.

These guys opened for Incubus in Wilmington, NC and I knew nothing about them. I became an instant fan. What an INCREDIBLE live band. I look forward to seeing them again soon!

Damn, haven't really listened to them since ~2010, even though they were my absolute favorite back then. Nice to see they still kick ass, and even some tracks I recognize on this set list. This was awesome to stumble across.

Josh's drumming in gravity's union is absolutely monstrous. That song is ridiculous hard and the man makes it looks easy (when you know someone's great). Oh and on a right handed kit too being a lefty, crazy talented man
I saw them on this tour at Coney Island and they were incredible. They've gotten better with time, truly one of the greats.
