- We finally got the opportunity to drive the soon-to-be-launched Citroen C3 hatchback in and around Goa. Set to take on the small hatchbacks from Maruti, Hyundai, Tata and others, the Citroen C3 is heavily localised to achieve an aggressive price tag. It gets two powertrain options - a 1.2L NA with 5-speed manual gearbox, and a 1.2L turbo with a 6-speed transmission. While the engine is actually pretty good, and the car offers tons of space, it misses out on some basic features such as electrically-adjustable ORVMs, rear wiper, alloy wheels that are kind of standard even in the entry level cars. The launch of the vehicle will take place on July 20.

This car will succeed only if the price kept under 6 lakh. No Led head lamp, no rear wiper, 2 parking sensor, no back camera, no automatic AC, basic key, manual mirror adjustment, basic steering wheel....moreover lot of basic stuffs.
Challenge ka sochne se pehle showrooms to khole..
Could be used as secondary car option for elderly and women oriented drivers..if mileage and automatic variant fall in budget segment 🤔 😀

A lot may not know that Citroen is one of the oldest European car brands along with Fiat. And that a lot of features first things in cars were bought by Citroen, eg cornering headlights, retracted lights way back in the 80s. Infact Citroen is known for making some highly unique and quirky cars.

GPS/RADAR based speed sensors mein hamesha 5-6KM/hr ka difference ata hai when compared to actual speedometer in Cars/bikes. This is more noticeable when we have digital cluster and use maps. Also some cities have a digital display on main roads which shows your vehicle speed...usmein bhi ye difference najar ata hai :) @ICN Studio observe karke dekho..

I think it must be better because punch is on heavier side, Citroen kerb weight is actually similar to tiago, so better mileage and performance is expected
It is competing against Tiago/Punch, i10, Ignis; if they price aggressively, then only people would go for it. Due to its lack of wide geographic presence, people would be hesitant. Only good price can entice people.
no comparison whatsoever with punch given this vechile takes us back with its features... like door handles,sideview miror hand adjusting, no alloys as standard, no led headligts, no tachometer...

Rarely you will adjust side mirrors, automatic AC is useless. Very clever and sensible approach by Citroen for cost cutting. Not launching automatic is really disappointing

They cannot sell it at 4 to 5lakh because they are new company to India... They can't take initial price loss like Renault, Tata, Suzuki, mahindra or Toyota..

Dear Mr Vincent Cobee. I can compromise on all the launch revelations of the C3 provided it comes with a disruptive pricing. However, the one thing I cannot compromise is the lack of electrically adjustable ORVMS. Ofcourse availability of AT is also a big miss as a lot of elderly and female customers will look elsewhere. Remember that gearless scooters revolutionized the popularity and sales among the elderly and the female clients.

Everything is good but this speedometer is terrible.. speedometer adds to the feel of the car. Basic analogue meter could have added to the looks of the dashboard which otherwise looks very good, diff and unique. Even exterior design is very unique..
Sir, it's not new engine. Please check Wikipedia on PSA engines. Citeoen PureTech 1.2 NA and turbo are available since a long time. They may have localized some parts
