    These stores are so beautiful. It's nice to know there's more than just Super Potato when it comes to retro/classic electronics & figurines.

      Yeah, if more people knew then I think Super Potato wouldn't get cleaned out quite as often.

    12:47 Ha! There was an EB Games and Babbages setup like that in one the malls I frequented as a kid. Surprisingly prices and stock varied.

    I'm a huge fan of your videos. I'm actually going to Japan from Korea in August and will definitely be staying/checking out all the goodness Akihabara has to offer. Looking forward to your Tokyo Snatchers series as well.

    Thx. Found now two new shops I have to check out. It has been a while, so hope the shmup prices there are not too much sky rocketing as on eBay.

    The upcoming Switch game looks like Boku no Natsuyasumi, but with Crayon Shin Chan. Alas, probably will remain a Japan exclusive. Thanks for taking us along on the trip. I love the “getting there” part of your videos and try to follow along on Google Maps.

      Yes indeed, she works for an owl cafe. She'll let you pet the owl and invite you into the cafe.

    One thing I didn't try, but was very curious about: Is haggling prices acceptable, or are the prices firm?

    I really want a Retro Freak. I noticed a few in Friends. How much are they going for in Japan? They are pretty high on Ebay.

    I also have a question can you roller blade in japan or is it illegal?

    • @MadPanicGaming
      @MadPanicGaming  7 років тому

      Roller blading is perfectly legal in Japan. Anywhere you can walk you can skate, though it might be tough in more crowded areas.

    this was fun and informative but if you had a map in the video it would be a full on resource. The Japan travel channel InternationallyMe makes amazing maps that I screenshot for my itinerary, not sure what she uses. Google Maps works pretty good in Japan I guess, I will just write the names down. Less than two months till I go!

    • @MadPanicGaming
      @MadPanicGaming  7 років тому

      Yeah, all of these shops and the bar can be easily found on Google Maps as well.

    Very interesting impressions! But is the air in Akihabara more bad, than for example somewhere in New York? Nevertheless the ground are always very clean in Japan :)

    • @MadPanicGaming
      @MadPanicGaming  7 років тому +2

      The air in Tokyo is actually very clean, as is the city itself. Much cleaner than any other major city I've been to.

    Nothing special about the giant wall of Kirbys hinted at in Retro Camp No 2? You did a cut, or they were always slightly offscreen.

      Luke Peart the first time I went to Japan I couldn't find crap at first. We didn't have a phone until 5 days in, once we got a data sim it got a lot better. How long did you stay for?

    • @Bukkake2023
      @Bukkake2023 7 років тому

      richycline I was only Tokyo for two days I was staying in akihabara. This was my second visit to Japan I had been to super potato before so I knew where that was the others I couldn't find
