I'm a huge fan of your videos. I'm actually going to Japan from Korea in August and will definitely be staying/checking out all the goodness Akihabara has to offer. Looking forward to your Tokyo Snatchers series as well.
The upcoming Switch game looks like Boku no Natsuyasumi, but with Crayon Shin Chan. Alas, probably will remain a Japan exclusive. Thanks for taking us along on the trip. I love the “getting there” part of your videos and try to follow along on Google Maps.
this was fun and informative but if you had a map in the video it would be a full on resource. The Japan travel channel InternationallyMe makes amazing maps that I screenshot for my itinerary, not sure what she uses. Google Maps works pretty good in Japan I guess, I will just write the names down. Less than two months till I go!
Very interesting impressions! But is the air in Akihabara more bad, than for example somewhere in New York? Nevertheless the ground are always very clean in Japan :)
Luke Peart the first time I went to Japan I couldn't find crap at first. We didn't have a phone until 5 days in, once we got a data sim it got a lot better. How long did you stay for?
richycline I was only Tokyo for two days I was staying in akihabara. This was my second visit to Japan I had been to super potato before so I knew where that was the others I couldn't find
These stores are so beautiful. It's nice to know there's more than just Super Potato when it comes to retro/classic electronics & figurines.
Yeah, if more people knew then I think Super Potato wouldn't get cleaned out quite as often.
The hardships you do for your subscribers and retro game enthusiasts. You just walked all of Tokyo lol
Thanks bro
Fantastic video! Thanks for showing me around. I hope I can come visit all those spots someday.
My pleasure. It's always just a plain ticket away.
12:47 Ha! There was an EB Games and Babbages setup like that in one the malls I frequented as a kid. Surprisingly prices and stock varied.

Loving the persona 3 music !!! Keep up the great work :)
its great feel good music for sure :) also nice avatar
You can never go wrong with some good old P3. :)
Thx. Found now two new shops I have to check out. It has been a while, so hope the shmup prices there are not too much sky rocketing as on eBay.
I just wanted to say thank you again for making these videos this was super helpful for when I go to Tokyo next summer
Not a problem, it was my pleasure.
vary good reference guide also that dragon quest store looked pretty sweet
Would like to see a video tour of the store. I guess the don't want people filming there.

Gotta love that Mushihimesama ost
Was that a lady with a Falcon in the beginning or am I just really tired still? Awesome video as always, great way to start the day!
I think it was an owl but yeah; random
It's an owl! There are Owl Cafes in Akihabara, the one I went to was called Owl Forest. :D
That is awesome.
Yes indeed, she works for an owl cafe. She'll let you pet the owl and invite you into the cafe.
Another video I really enjoyed watching!
I envy you sometimes Kid!!!!
Haha, very understandable.
very cool the vintage pc one looks cool . a i saw a gundam cafe which looks cool
That reminds me, I need to get a video made of the Gundam Cafe sometime soon.
Awesome video!
Thank you!
This is so awesome, I might be going to japan so I really needed to know this I would not be possible to find. I want to go to sofmap so bad lol
Can you do a vid on your experiences living in Japan? How things are going etc?
You mean like J-vlogging? I've thought of doing that, I still might.
Trader fucking rules!!
Damn straight.
One thing I didn't try, but was very curious about: Is haggling prices acceptable, or are the prices firm?
I really want a Retro Freak. I noticed a few in Friends. How much are they going for in Japan? They are pretty high on Ebay.
Trader was my go to.
awesome as always :D
Thank you!
I also have a question can you roller blade in japan or is it illegal?
Roller blading is perfectly legal in Japan. Anywhere you can walk you can skate, though it might be tough in more crowded areas.

Yeah, all of these shops and the bar can be easily found on Google Maps as well.
Very interesting impressions! But is the air in Akihabara more bad, than for example somewhere in New York? Nevertheless the ground are always very clean in Japan :)
The air in Tokyo is actually very clean, as is the city itself. Much cleaner than any other major city I've been to.
Thx, for the respond, Jim!
Nothing special about the giant wall of Kirbys hinted at in Retro Camp No 2? You did a cut, or they were always slightly offscreen.
That's how I originally shot it.
A Button sure is oddly located, I never even saw it.
This video would have been useful 5 days ago when I was there looking for these stores lol oh well save it for next time
