- Happy Friday everyone. I've been going through my backlog of videos filmed a while back that I thought might be of use to you in your homes at this time.
When I was in New York I caught up with my old teacher Mary Helen Bowers at Ballet Beautiful, who taught me some moves that I now bring to you! See how I got on...

If you havent had ballet training, you aren't aware that every muscle is continually engaged, aligned and extended while keeping the shoulders, arms and hands soft and it looks easy but I think dancers are literally the most accomplished athletes above and beyond anything else.
Only people who dont work out would watch this and think that looks easy lol
Wow! This kind of one on one ballet workout would be quite beneficial to anyone and everyone. I am sorry now that I never got involved in any formal training of any kind. I photographed ballet classes. That does not count except for my appreciation of them. I have worked out with weights but never consistently.
Above triathletes? Decathletes? Gynmasts? Combat sports athletes?
I love your sense of humour, Alexa. It's a proper tonic in these darker days.
@@liebingf Well, obviously. DUH! That doesn't stop it being entertaining and providing a bit of light relief during a sad and scary time.
Please try these. For real. You have no idea, I won't ever change Ballet Beautiful because this literally builds you a whole new body. It's so weird, it's you, but better, longer. Just in case this is your first time being introduced to this, you should give it a try.

@@LumpySpaceJenny probably. I started around 5 or 6 years ago, when she had released a free workout set on another youtube chanel, probably bc she was starting. But then those were deleted and I see no free full workout sets from her anymore.

Alexa while working out is an entire mood.
As someone who regularly (or more like, starts and gets too intimidated) does her online classes this video has me in stitches. The “horrible” on every new movement was gold.
Ballet beautiful is literally the BEST workout ever! Been doing it for quite a few years, and it’s helped me feel more elegant and helped with my posture.
FYI: Workout starts around 8:00
But the whole video is nice and alive with Alexa's energy - living vicariously through UA-cam now, you still might need some of that :)

I've tried so many workouts in my lifetime and Ballet Beautiful is by far the most effective. Even after having done it for the last 9 years, it still burns like CRAZY!

Man, watching them tie their ribbons brought back some real strong memories of ballet exams. I used to tuck my ribbon ends in and hairspray them rather than stitch though.
This gave me all my old pains from when I did ballet. I’m definitely doing this from now on.

I did the pregnancy Ballet Beautiful classes online with my first baby 5 years ago and LOVED it! I love Mary, she is such a graceful ballerina and great teacher. LOVE the clothing line
I looooved this video so much .... so calming , usefull and realistic (I mean Alexa's reactions to the ballerina's excercizes was literally me :P )all at the same time !
