Lmao!! Who else crouch walks in a box in the desert in full cosplay for their fans and viewers!? Nobody!! You're a special man. Much appreciated and very useful info just-in-case. Wish I could thumbs up it more. Shared.
i appreciate that buddy! im not gonna lie to you when i say this video was both such a blast to film, and also such a pain in the ass to film lol
Junkyard Fox Solid: Snake Eater
I used glycerin and the green rubbing alcohol mixture from Walmart. After I fleshed out the skin I soaked it for about a week stirring once a day. I saw a video on UA-cam about it. After that, dried it for 2 weeks in a dark closet. The snakeskin doesn't dry out and stays flexible. The skin still feels like it is on a live snake. UA-cam has everything lol.
ill be trying that this week
Loved the video , I've been eating rattle snake since I was 3. My father was an instructor at the ranger camp Frank D. Merrill Delonagah Georgia.
First rule of snake head disposal, Do NOT throw it into the fire!! The venom will infuse what ever is being cooked . And it WILL make you very sick. Bury it . Deep.
Second , when cutting the head off make sure you cut approximate five inches behind the head , my father would spread his 👋 hand and measure from tip of the thumb to tip of the pinky and cut there. The diamondback and the timber rattler have venom glands behind the head . He always said better safe than sorry.
My favorite is chicken fried rattler with white gravy and biscuits. A little bit of garlic and black pepper goes a long way.
When i was about six we were at a demonstration at camp Merrill and one of the Sargents was trying to impress his friends and he kicked the heads into the fire and several people had to be hospitalized. My dad had him put under arrest on base and brought up on charges. So those of you whom wish to try this please learn from someone Iike junkyard fox.
Charles Murphy what a snitch , I’m sure he didn’t do it on purpose
@@albertreade7607 , I was there , yes he did it on purpose. He was careless and put himself and several others in the hospital. My father was a master Sargent and the survival instructor at the time .
When people are negligent and several ,i think 8,people are hospitalized. Military as well as civilians are involved, then of course he would be brought up on charges.
Plus honestly even as a little kid I thought that guy was always doing stupid things .
Favorite snake recipe: Snake cleaned cut into 8in lengths. Placed in bowl made of aluminium foil. Season completely with soy sauce, garlic, black pepper and salt(The Holy Quadrilogy) and a little olive oil. Wrap completely in foil so juices dont escape. Cook over coals Slower the better. Flip and rotate for even cooking. Maybe 30/40 mins. When done should be braised/steamed/browned in its own goodness and meat should slide off the bones. Have had it fried and roasted in an oven. This is my favorite
damn that sounds good!
@@JunkyardFox To be quite honest. You could probably cook a dog turd the same way and it would be edible. Maybe add some curry powder ;) Oh and love the new knife design. Its like Green River meets Will Collins. Imma need 2 of those by the way :)
Just wanted to stop in and give you a huge THANK YOU! From Dec 2018 - Mar 2020 I found myself in a situation where I became jobless and then homeless in AZ. With my tablet in hand, and various places that had free WiFi, I found your channel and was able to survive on $0.00 income for the entire year and 3 months. The desert is filled with things that help you survive it as long as you're patient and have the know-how.
Luckily, I'm now in a better spot with help from the VA and have full-time employment doing W@H and saving for my retirement and oddly enough, even after the seven months of "being back in civilization", I'm still in the habit of supplementing my diet with food from the desert (I developed a taste for it?). Again, thank you!
awesome brother, i am both humbled and honored to hear this, im glad youre doing better! the knowledge of the land is a priceless thing.
Man, I love that you went full Big Boss for this one.
The box made my day, and is that a Cuervo rendition of the theme? Cant wait to see what you guys make of that skin
yup, cuervo made a cover with his own spin on it, its called 'youre pretty good'
As soon as I read the first sentence of your comment the scene popped up 😂
Love the role play and cinema man. Not to mention all the info on survival. Your Rockin Bro!

Not only is this amazing it's also educational! Lol! I learned alot. Our love for MGS3 Snakeeater made our paths cross and its a pleasure to have met you brother.
Glad you enjoyed it! the metal gear franchise is etched into my very being, its been such a massive inspiration to me. i do gotta say Rudy, for my rank listing, Phantom Pain isnt even included, i despise that game, well the crappy ass, half cooked story lol
Awesome you made both a cosplay AND an original MGS theme rendition for this video. Good to see you being respectful of the animal and saving the skin and all too. I was waiting all video for a "Pretty tasty" or "I want some more" and wasn't disappointed lol
appreciate the kind words! we put our heart and soul into this video
Another good vid my friend, keep up the good work. Btw that look like a beautiful sunrise, wish I were there to see a desert sunrise myself
Thanks for the visit
Dude you're awesome :)
new video just dropped yesterday, check it out
Really awesome video, man; definitely beauty in the danger and prowess of the copperhead. & Hahahah, that end shot was pretty funny. Bummed I never got to play any of the metal gear solid games
dude the metal gear franchise are the greatest games of all time, they elevated video games like chris nolan elevated superhero movies with the dark knight trilogy. if it wasnt for snake eater, there would be no red dead redemption or many otheres. i highly recommend them
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Yummy! I've been waiting for a snake video from you, even before you dropped the teasers!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great video, James!! Love the music!
I’ll have to try rattlesnake someday, just to knock it off my list.
However, I’m not to eager to go and hunt one down. 😬
ive heard soem taco shops have started offering rattler meat tacos, so no hunting required. thank you for joining us!
That was an incredible video. With our mutual love of Snake Eater, been wanting to see you do this video for a long time. Loved it brother!
Glad you enjoyed it! it was a pain in the ass to film but it was so worth it!
Awesome Snake cosplay!
Can y'all do a vid showing the process of curing and crafting with the snakeskin? Maybe even switch places and have Cuervo take a shot at hosting!
Dude, I doubt Cuervo will ever agree to host. Unless it's in complete silence lol
Yes with the green chiles!
gotta throw in the chilies
Still want to try this at some point. Great video
You should! jsut be very careful
Junkyard Fox me or the snake careful lol.

Kept us waiting, huh?
my favorite animal is any kind of snakes
The Fox does a good one! Fun video. You important warning. A guy recently was bitten by a decapitated ratter.
Man after my own heart ...a fire.. snake to eat.. beautiful night....a cigar...but to bad no whiskey..take care brother
This video really touched me... I live in the desert. I hike freely at night, knowing my terrain and company, snakes, and rattlesnakes, have never been an issue. Out where I live, Crotalus Viridis is most common and they are such a beautiful, gentle animal. I've only ever come across one that was defensive and upset... Ive actually free handled many wild rattlers and I have NEVER even been struck at, not even by the feisty one. Of course, not all rattlers are the same. They most certainly are individuals with different personalities. I'm glad you promote the respect and use of the entire animal. As a vegetarian, I appreciate that very much.
I used to relocate them, and bring them to my spot in the desert for rodent control... The last 3 years I have "pet" chipmunks and a Canyon Towhee (named "Squeakables") and I've been more protective of them... Taking my snake friends somewhere else to hunt.
I love desert life, and everything about it, except the heat! I have a few videos on my channel, just showing my everyday life. I used to live here with my boyfriend who taught me a lot, but unfortunately he got into drugs... So now it's just me and my chipmunks. I don't have many videos now, but I plan on getting more serious about providing content next year.
Would even love to do Collab if you're ever out this way. :)
My FB is under the name Dori Marie LaChance if anyone wants to add me. 💖
Could make a rattlesnake wallet with that skin.
We stan for Big Boss
o7
2:03 I cut their heads off with a shovel and think nothing but "I'm glad i didn't get bit" and "this is going to taste good"...
Also, "another snake skin "
I've always wanted to try rattlesnake. My mom was from a little one light town in southern Alabama where they have a rattlesnake festival every year. That was the town's claim to fame.
Awwwww man I've always wanted to try rattlesnake. Looks yummy 😋😋
I had rattlesnake fried in butter tasted like chicken and fish. Thanks mate enjoy your channel.
I haven't had fried rattle snake since I was young... Anymore I try and leave them be as long as they extend me the same courtesy. Thanks for the video, who knows what the future may bring.
Badass James. I have 7 copies of snake eater for ps2. I'm kinda a fan. Msg2 was the reason for my first pistol. HK USP .45 back on 2012. Your the shit. BOSS JAMES. GOD BLESS
greatest video games ever!
I had to laugh when you flung the guts, i could just see those hit your partner in the head and a fight break out. Sorry lol but it was a funny thought. Love ya bro. Keep up the good work.

Rattlesnake chili beans is the bomb

Awesome video brothers! I havent eaten snake before... ive thought about it... my sister just caught a sidewinder at their house which looked so beautiful but they have many diamonds there too.... great disclaimer as well, people dont realize you're playing with fire...
BIG BOSS HUNGERS!!
If I had to pick a favorite snake, would be the diamondback.I saw several of them while living in AZ and your right, some dead ones on the road also that have no doubt been ran over.
Haha a continuation of the short vid nice 😜
Glad you liked it
Yes sir, always pick up things watching these kind of vids. I’m looking forward to seeing more
Been waiting for this forever great vid you should make a hatband from it it really easy just rub it down with a lot of salt
Sounds good!
Pretty cool man. You should definitely do more cosplay and character type videos
Thanks! Will do!
I think making it into a stew would blend the taste and you'd still get the protein. Funny ass exit. Where'd you find the box?
😂😂😂😂😂😂. You are terrific!!
When I was a kid, I cooked a pan full of sidewinder meat with salt, lemon pepper, onions and garlic. I made the meat into little hors d'oeuvres on ritz crackers and served them to my class' parents when they came in for a parent-teacher conference.
Can't see very well but the patch looks cool an thats all that really matters anyway
I fuckin love you dude
Rattle snake is a dangerous serpent I remember going my rancho in Mexico to visit family I seen a 10 year old boy grab a 7 ft rattler and swing it across a rock and broke the snakes head
Eating a snake seems to bizzare to me
Wait, get Bob Hansler to play as Ocelot
Another great and memorable video for the books, gentlemen. As for rattlesnake; after field dressing and skinning, I'll cut it up into 3 to 4 inch length pieces, dust'em in garlic salt and lemon pepper with a bit of flour, and then throw those pieces into a frying pan with a little oil till golden brown. Simple and delicious.
was hoping to catch another soon and try this recipe but we got hit with a cold front and im not sure if theyre out anymore or they began to hybernate
@@JunkyardFox Welp, hopefully in the near future we'll watch you process a snake with your new Snake Eater knife!
Badass
😂😂😂 Get Cuervo to dress up of Sokoloff
Man id have to be awfully hungry b4 i ate snake
Found 2 small rattlers on my front porch 2 days ago and a neighbor was bitten by one in her swimming pool...snake time in Az now.
yeah you gotta be careful, these guys are sneaky and camouflage incredibly well
Hello James,
Please make a video about dry Yucca pod seed bread. I couldn´t find anything on the Internet on the process.
if i can find enough seeds, ill film a video, if not, ill do it next year
James... very cool video... I have never had snake but I would try it... I have always wanted to try alligator... I hear it’s very good... have you ever had gator James? Keep up the great work 👍👊
oh yeah alligator is delicious, i hope to one day hunt one and cook it
I like how you have a ka-bar strapped to your leg
its how the character Naked Snake has it on his leg in the game
es todo mijos
Awww! The poor snakie!
But, I bet it tasted great....
what yall smokin lol
It's Che!!!!
What were the night time temps like
not sure, like 70s?
Care should be taken because I understand the young care born alive and venomous.
yes definitely
Cuervo makes some good tunes. Does he have a UA-cam?
A patch on your right eye and you shoot right handed. Are you left eye dominant? Or was it harder to shoot with your right eye covered?
im right eye dominant. that scene was just for the video story, in reality i shot the snake without an eyepatch before filming
Now I know what to do with my neighbors snake.
I loved the outfit. Thanks for the video my Bladed Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
