Thanks so much for this! Just replaced my son’s card reader, and it works perfectly again. Not all UA-cam repair vids are made with equal quality. Your step by step instructions were incredibly clear. Thanks!!!!!
Thank you! Worked for us! Great to have your example to follow. Our dog chewed up animal crossing, and in a distraught state my daughter shoved the gnarled cartidge into the slot and the reader stopped working. This video saved us a bunch of $$! Much appreciated
Tip about the screws (the self-tapping ones, that screw directlly into the plastic): When screwing them in, aplly some downward pressure and turn the screw counterclockwise untill you feel and/or hear the screw poping into the existing threads. Then you can turn it clockwise. That way it will go into the existing threads, instead of making a new one and after a few times completelly eating up the plastic leaving you without the threads.
Also in the future let me know if you got to use a four-way or a three-way Phillips some people may not know that it's a three-way Phillips for Nintendo switch
Afternoon.....Maurice here in Grande prairie......this popped up in UA-cam as I was surfing lol....reminding me that we haven't seen you and your electric cars and family on lately...I think it's been months.....hope all is going well for your family in this challenging world
Hello Maurice, yes, it’s been a while. I took a little break that just seemed to go on and one. Kind of like flattening the curve, but without getting sick.
It’s just occupying space in the garage. I’m still trying to decide if it’s worth it to go down the path of buying a new battery, then having to buy a new controller, then possibly needing a new throttle vs saving the money for a set of eBikes.
@@Carlos_TX yeah the nissan leaf 24 kwh is not enough for me. Can’t charge at home only public. I have to charge every day. At the local charger for €5,50 per 100 km
@@jdnrotterdam2150 Then I would recommend a hybrid or plugin hybrid. I myself drive a Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid (as in my state Texas, they dont offer the Plug-in Version.) But plan on upgrading to a Tesla Model Y within the next 2 years.
Wow a step from a Ionic hybrid to a Tesla model Y that’s what you call upgrading. Won the lottery? New Job? I drive a 2012 Toyota Prius Hybride. With 191.000 km on it so i want to replace it. Saved some money for a new car. Was looking for an ev. But for 10.000 15.000 there is not much choice for me and my family in the EV world. Just 2 cars. The Nissan leaf 24 kwh. And the Renault Zoe 22 kwh. It’s just not good enough for a number one family car for work vacation and daily drive. I thought Michael always have some ideas so that’s why i ask him. What i drove before his Ev’s
The money part is always going to be the challenge. Let’s say there were lot’s of choices in used.... if there were I’d look at a Leaf with the 42KW battery, the IONiq looks like a great car that I think would be good. I talked with our daughter and she liked the mini, or the Tesla3. I think the Tesla3 would offer the best range, followed by Leaf and IONiq. Here where we live in western Canada, I’m just not seeing a lot of used electrics for sale just yet. But each year there will be more and more.
great video but after i put the switch back together the card reader worked but the touch screen no longer works...any idea what i did that would have caused that?
Nooo... not Amelia's Switch! It owes her an apology! LOL - I found a couple more things I wanted to link you to. Links in the (first) reply commnet. The first is called "Bike Nook" - I thought you might like it for all your bikes. The second is called "Razer Kishi" and is a universal gaming controller for iOS, Android and Android Xbox.

You should always replace thermal paste after taking apart the heatpipe
Thanks for this. Just had to replace my son's. All detailed perfectly here. Thank you again.

Excellent tip, thanks!!
As a small tip for the next repair, disconnect as the first battery connection so that no current can flow
Thank you for the help, brother!! I was able to fix my son's switch using your video! You are much appreciated!!!
Great work Mike 😊👍🌹
Terrible job here. No disconnected battery, no re use of heat sink tape, violent manipulation of the digitizer ribbon cable and press connector.
I’d argue that Pokémon actually the best great video I’m doing this to my switch since my games don’t lock in anymore

They will find out real quick but it might ruin a whole day not being able to get out and get that right tool
Where was the part purchase?
How much does it cost to replace this part? Could you link me to a seller? And I might need the correct screw driver also.
Where does you get the cartridge replacement part?
Did I miss the link to site where you purchased your part from?

Hey Mike! Any update on the Vespa looking scooter Tammy picked up?

I'm sure every dad has repaired their kids Nintendo or other electronic device at some time!
Thanks so much. It s working
Useful video thanks. Need to replace the slot on ours after my son broke the pins by shoving lego in there 🤦♂
I’m dealing with the same problem right now
"These things are so small and so hard... to put in." @11:50
Where can you go to fix it
Nice 👍 video. I have to do the same for my son. Love the beat as well.
If you had only 10.000 to 15.000 to spend on a family car. What would you buy?
Depends on how far your commute is, but I would say Mike would recommend a Nissa Leaf.

the cartridge board ribbon cable also passes through the touchscreen. make sure its seated properly
maybe it's not the good part ,you have V1 and V2 parts
