1:39:50 it's funny you say it, because after this tape Bladee had a ''transformation'' - since 2019 everything he does seems happy, playful, beautiful and full of positivity. I think he found purpose and some kind of religious enlightment, it's crazy.

Him being DG CEO is kind of a running gag, drain gang isn’t really even a company he’s just saying he started it. In a similar fashion Thaiboy has the DG Chief Commander title, and Ecco uses other ones like combat ballerina
If you liked Icedancer then you'll definitely love The Fool. Lusi, the same producer who worked on Icedancer, also produced The Fool. If Icedancer was Loss, then The Fool is Gain.
Love the video and your analysis, felt like I was attending a college lecture on bladee haha. I think a lot of his reference to designer brands/fashion is tongue in cheek or ironic. He’s talked about it in interviews but he recognizes the absurdity of materialism but still chooses to participate, often in a campy self aware way. This explains the emphasis on D&G which is kind of peak vapid mid-2000s designer fashion and isn’t typically seen as cool by todays rappers and calling himself a mallwhore etc.
Love your reaction Papa Squat! I think your analysis of Waster is perfect and the song almost completely encapsulates how bladee feels and how it feels to listen to and relate to bladee's music. He starts very depressed and sober, reflecting on how fucked up his life is. But then when he gets to the line "empty, fill my cup" he's like fuck it I know how to fix my problems, it's more substances so he drinks and the rest of the song he's much more aggressive and inspired. Then the end of the song with the single word "fuck", you can just imagine him crazy drunk and drugged out just laying on the ground listening to the beat and he's like here we go again, fuck. Honestly the single word "fuck" at the end of waster is my favourite Bladee lyric because he says so much with just one word. One of Bladee's best songs on one of his best albums
Thanx Pap Squat, when you have time you should react to his other major project from 2018, Red Light, in my opinion his sound peaked here and it’s my favourite of all his albums, closely followed by Eversince
1:12:45 I don't really know if he was cutting himself, but he has a song called "Wrist Cry" from the album "Eversince" that you've reacted to, that is completely based on the theme of self-harm and depression, and also there's many other songs where he talks openly about his scars etc. so yeah probably he had a time in his life where he was doing this. (and as a person who was addicted to self-harm behaviors, take care of yourself all of you who struggle with this type of thing, you are not alone
Been a fan of Bladee since 2013, literally my favourite album of his and today I realised the line in Jaws was about a Bond villain and not the shark my mind is blown 😭😭. And the moon rock line before it is close to Moonraker which he was also in
Man, I can't believe I forgot how much of a banger Jaws is, you're absolutely right in saying its a solid song. Everything is so tight. I love the production with all the little playful sound effects.
1:08:10 is absolutely key to the bladee experience. And why I love his music so much. Insane lively and perfect production. The most deadpan delivery ever. And the most depressing or deep lyrics. Your point about hiding it is spot on. Everything going on is there for a reason
24:15 this is exactly how i understood the lyric aswell so love that interpretation from u on Frosty the snowman, feel like alot of these explainations and even some of the song lyrics themselves are just plain out wrong on genuius. I find that he often gets viewed as egocentric or like hes trying flex at being this "to good for others guy" (like most rappers these days) when in reality he's just saying thats how peopple view him but he don't rly understand or feel like it himself "im not special, but you're just like me".

I know this comment is very late. But I really really think he is saying "drugs come free, was 'posed to stay drug free" or "was to stay drug free" which is very hard for someone like Bladee to do - especially when the drugs come free. Also in the song inside out I'm almost certain he says "come turn me in the inside out, fully inside out" instead of "come to me inside out, from the inside out" turn me inside out fully inside out just makes waaaay more sense in a love sense. as in youre so crazy in love you feel like youre inside out with this person, very subjective feeling - could mean hes showing his inner self to the outside (this person they love) or how I see is it is sometimes this woman I love just makes me feel inside out!
wow it's so interesting listening to your breakdowns man i'm halfway through the video right now and i'm loving it. icedancer is such a great album 😄 thanks for making this video!
