I love this style of video. Little things like how easy it is to do a fender delete, and how much storage space is available are nice to know before buying. Good timing on the video too since I recently found out about the 450SS, and I'm planning for it to be my next bike. The 50HP 270 degree twin is perfect for me, and unlike most bikes with similar or smaller engines, it doesn't look like it'll scrape anything at sharp lean angles unlike every other small bike I've had. The kickstand mount on my Hyosung GT250 almost killed me on the dragon when it scraped.
Just bought one today for my wife Very impressed she is gonna have to fight me off of it. I ride an mt09 and a speed triple 1200rr and this thing is right up there in the fun levels. Took the muffler off as soon as we got home from the dealer sounds insanely good. And it has one of the best TFTs I’ve seen makes my 20k triumph look stupid.
Love the video! It’s nice getting a mechanics POV on a bike. With all the things I look for on a bike. Keep up the great videos man and I hope you do more of these in the future
Dude, this was awesome. I appreciate you taking a long hard look at the build quality of this bike. It's very informative and I am a lot more confident purchasing a bike from CF Moto. Probably the 800nk
FYI, TST Industries and R&G Racing have a good list of aftermarket accessories available already for the 450SS (most will fit the NK then). Tail tidy's!!!
Really like the in depth detail and opinion on this bike...I'm sure a lot of moto family are as curious as I am. Reliability and aftermarket support I think will make this a staple in small displacement motorcycles!!
A CF moto video with no xenophobia (even in the comments, whoa)?! I appreciate you and this is a great in depth review. Clearly separates from all the other nonsensical repetitive reviews. Subbed dude 👍
I made my tail tighty for mine. Then I got the 20$ one that has the turn signals and plate light. I used a piece of sheet metal and basically made a triangle with a long rectangle at the bottom of it. I bent the ends of the rectangle down and drilled the holes for the turn signals. Then drilled the holes for the plate and the three holes to mount it to the bike. Not too bad but the after market is nice and cheap
First good in depth breakdown of a cf moto bike and I'm nearly sold. Wanted the new Suzuki 800 adv bike but then i saw Chase has the cf moto 800 adv and i kinda like it more. Little wary of it but he was talking about riding a thousand miles at a time multiple times and how all it's holding up. I like them
Kinda interesting video Looking at the service intervalls and all would also be interesting. It's like a buyers video to a bike, not many of these out there.
Yeah great video! All the other typical reviewers say the same things over and over. It's great to get some perspective about things that most people don't cover or talk about.
The build quality is way better than I expected from a Chinese bike. My only concern is the engine. Only time will tell how reliable it is. Would also be interesting to see what an exhaust, intake and tune does.
I enjoyed this video style. I saw the fully faired version of this bike around my area during the riding season. I have no interest in owning one, but at least after watching this video, I know that it's a solidly built bike.
just bought this NK450 , 5 days old, i have this issue that everytime I downshift and blip the throttle maybe 3 to 4x times. there are times my engine dies. Is this normal? or something is wrong with the motorcylce? :(
We bought a 450ss for our son for his 2nd bike. His first was a klx250s and he still rides it. I was overly impressed with the cfmoto450ss over the ninja400 and the feel and sound made our mind up. Its way more bike then any other small bore sport bike in its class. They fly off the showrooms in Illinois.
CFMOTO should let you modify that bike before you give it back to them so that way they can redesign the bike for retailers/dealerships. yes i am also interested in these kinda videos.
these are so tempting to get as a beginner. my only concern is part availibility. i dont wanna be down a bike for two weeks waiting for some orings or bullshit. how was the service of these when you were workin in the dealerships? do dealers carry stock? or would most dealers have to order in parts?
I love this kind of video I'm looking for a light highway bike I hope this NK 450 does come out in a kind of an adventure one yeah I'm looking at a used Versys but I had a 650 V-Strom and I put 26,000 miles on that and then I sold it and I kind of want something a little lighter so if you have any other ideas for me let me know thanks
Rito mate they might be decent now but certainly when I worked in the bike shop 10 years ago they weren't cheaply made and no one here wanted to work on them same as hyosung but things have changed according to you. Which would be good if they are now value for money and reliable that would be great 👍
Well yeah I should’ve said that. The main thing I’ve noticed is if it’s got a bit of magnetism it will get rust spots over time. Different grads of stainless, the very high grade ones hold up longer.
I am going with the Ninja 400 for my son's first bike. I was looking at the 450 SS. I have not seen enough of them in the wild yet. But they do look fantastic. The ZX4RR is 10 fuggin grand. My GSXR750 was 10.7k
Oh not mad. Just too much for my sons at first. But yeah, it is an actual track weapon. I know how much it is because I wanted one for the local go cart track. they have 450cc limit. My 750 is only allowed to park in the lot. @@TheGardenSnake
A lot of parts look identical to my 2018 cb500x. Pegs and exhaust for example. I’ve looked into Compton a lil but stil prefer paying a couple g more for a Honda. I feel their a lil underpowered and heavy for what they are. Plus I doubt it’d take 65k km like my 500 has. Wheel bearings and fork seals done once on it since new
@@TheGardenSnake from what I saw other years in their specs it seemed to be that way. Never knew they made arc’s either, only seen their motorcycles coming into Canada last couple years.
Power wise it’s very similar in its delivery and characteristics. The 07 has way more punch though as you would expect. The chassis feel similar but you’ll notice the nk feels a good bit lighter. The nk feels way more plated and confident. The suspension is pretty good and in contrast the 07 is meh. The dash on the nk is nice and make the 07 feel dated. Brakes are both good, not amazing. In most way the nk is better other then that power the 07 has. It really makes the 07 the more fun one to ride.

CFMoto will probably end up being a quality leading product in the future just like Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki became in the 70's.
They've actually caught up 100% to the budget end of Japanese bikes, yet people are really slow on the uptake and don't realise it
I hope so.
