Thanks richie.
Always very useful and straight to the point - many thanks!
No problem.
Very handy information, keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks! 👍
I found out some years ago, much to my annoyance, that drain cocks jam closed, I have now taken to opening the drain cocks at least once a year to stop them sticking.
Good advice James.
Excellent tip keep them coming thanks

No problem Mark.
Thank you 👍
You are welcome
Many thanks Derek, luckily I have a good working drain valve on the ground floor near the front door where I can drain into my garden shingle. This was useful as I am about to saw an old radiator out like for like so a simple job.
Excellent
Useful information - thanks!
No problem.
Brilliant got the job done thank you
No problem 😊
I never bother trying to drain a system using the drain off valve as it is always blocked so I drain the system from one valve as you showed. One tip when draining a radiator is to undo the whole bleed valve so more air gets in so it drains quicker!
Great tip!
good info pal watched allot of your vids , changed 4 rads and done a system clean months ago, then i find out a mate works for bloody k-rad so the last two big main rads in front and back room i can get at a massive % off so I'm defiantly changing them I'm like wtf you not tell me before lol , all rads were the old round top type years old and cant find any info on heat output unless you know?
Not on them old rads They neve gave any info on heat output.
@@dereton33 lol my local plumbers said that when sorting the new rads out he said worse Psml, that’s why I know there round tops, no wonder I can’t find outputs
thanks for this
You're welcome
Occasionally I need my rubber bungs for my tank and can never find where I have put them. But then when I am looking for something else for a completely different job I find the rubber bungs 🙂 I should really keep them in the attic near the tank.
That's a great idea!
Quick question: in a combi or unvented system where do you add the inhibitor once the system has been drained?
inject it thro the filling loop
@@davehunter6920 I see, thanks! I wasn't sure if that was safe or if I should just isolate a rad & funnel it in though the top..
You can do it that way as well.
@@davehunter6920Or put it in the magnetic filter pot, if you have one.
Great video..👍🍀
Thank you 👍
My boiler has an automatic filling valve, so it fills the system when I try to drain it. There's no valve or key to turn under the boiler?
Shut the water off by the mains in that case.
