The NBA has a rule that if anyone from either team leaves the bench other than coaches during an altercation, they're suspended for a game. It's for the safety of the players, but also to cut out bull shit like dugouts and bullpens emptying over 2 children whining on a baseball field. They need to do something about it.

how many damn teams has Gomez played for? Just in this video, Brewers, Astros, Rangers, Twins, Rays...probably others. He's a good player I guess, but seems to have the perennial "red ass" (shout out to the great book Ball Four by Jim Bouton), which may explain why he's moved around so much. And you contrast with how he was with that young girl who was a Brewers fan, coudln't have been a nicer guy. I guess once he's playing, the competitiveness takes over.

Not totally familiar with Mr Gomez but in my opinion these high profile players have zero appreciation for the fact that they're in the big leagues. For every player that reaches the big leagues there's hundreds if not thousands that won't.
And for every full seat in the stadium, there are several if not dozens of empty ones.

The one with Gerrit (sp?) Cole ( 8:53 ) -- I get where Cole is coming from, but if Gomez had run full out at the crack of the bat, with his speed, could have very well been an inside-the-park HR (as it was, he got to third base even starting off half-assing it). So he (Gomez) actually saved a run from going against Cole. I assume that a scoreless game in the 3rd inning, Cole wasn't all that worried about one run being scored (after all, if Gomez had hit it over the fence, that's a run, even if he did "cadillac it" around the bases). I wonder though if the pinch runner for Gomez (surely he was ejected) ended up scoring.
