video didn't answer the clickbait title. you just browsed through "favourite paintings" which really isn't any indicator of what paintings sell.

It’s the value that people give on the artwork. This video is so myopic.

I'm looking on places where they sell paintings online and see what has already sold. Sort of different than just looking what people like to look at online. I pin paintings on Pinterest that I like something about the painting, but isn't what I would buy myself. What I'm doing now that I am working on selling online, is I'm doing paintings of what I really like myself. I take the time to think about is this something I would buy myself, and would want to hang on my wall, and look at all the time, and enjoy. Not really thinking about what would be popular to other people. The only problem is I end up falling in love with my paintings. I had to paint copies of two of them, so I could sell the first one I did. I'm mostly doing animals and still life paintings.

Much thanks! I'll see what I can dl to my art to make it sell more.
I tend to draw very dark horror which is a challenge when people are seeking positive vibes.

Thank you for the effort to make this video....unfortunately, you didn't say or show anything new or helpful, simply showed that today people buy art only for the colors that match their couch not for the quality of the artist.

Ross Piazza Thank you for your concise summary. I think that today’s audience of art speculators are going down the wrong path and I aim to bring awareness to that. I would love for you to participate in the Art Review series by posting art you like so together we can bring awareness to better artwork! The people simply do not know about the wide world of art that we do!

I'd apologize if my reply above came across a little too blunt. But, being myself a painter for almost 50 years now, I have seen the bad, the ugly and the horrifying being glorified as the good, the beauty and the magnificent by hungry speculators ( as you say), self promoted critics and galleries who care only about to satisfy an army of gullible and ignorant public that has no idea how to look at art and artists but let themselves led astray by these wolves in sheep clothing. Of course who survives in this chaotic world are only those pseudo-artists who are smart and lucky enough to either be promoted by on of these speculators or know the right people at the right time. I can go on and on about this, but, I understand your goal is to promote the real art and artists, The problem, unfortunately , is that now days this is also a very complicated and touchy subject , because what I consider real art may not be what you believe art suppose to be. I had countless arguments over the years about this...So I came to the conclusion that even the artists are confused and believed the lies of the above speculators and galleries. So, definitely I would love to help you in your effort, but, I am not sure where to draw the line.

There's endless high value yet local, starving artists that deserve our support. Good art can be found at any price range. I suggest people look for and buy art that they love because supporting artists is making their dreams come true.

I was about to comment how digital liquid dynamic software creates paint simulation for that texture. And now we have AI making it for us.

If you make art to make money, you are wasting your time, you will only make copies of what other artists have done

So you don't buy original art at all? That's sad. My walls are covered in them. I am proud to support various artists making their dreams come true.
