I first learned about woodworking since the darkest days of lockdown here in the Philippines and have created several very satisfactory projects since then. For a table saw, I have to say the fence is one of the most important parts of a table saw.

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
Yah i read a lot of issue of lotus motor.. the only flaw of the bosch is the sliding platform w lotus have.. but i saw one from a foreign carpenter did an addl DIY sliding platform thatbwas attached to the right side
meron ba blade wobble yung Bosch kagaya ng sa Lotus. Correct me if I'm wrong but that would be the difference between an accurate and straight cut vs. a cut na parang circular saw gumawa.
I still have my lotus TS, it's a good TS, still working love that sliding miter. Loud as hell, reason I bought another TS, but couldn't part with it, go figure.
No experience using the Stanley but just based on what I've seen in stores, I'd still go with the Lotus for the amount of features it brings at this price point.
These are brand new items. Which do you think will last longer? Which has a better build, uses better materiasl (i.e. not plastic) especially in the moving parts? Appreciate your thoughts.
So lotus is the winner..i plan to buy gts 254 but whe i watch your disadvantage between to unit now i was confused about the gts 254..how about gts 10xc..? Can you give me idea which table saw is good with the same price as boscht gts 254..thanks new subscriber
Quick question sir, you mentioned you used to own that Lotus model. What made you sell it? Would you recommend it for a budget-tied beginner woodworker as a first tablesaw? Thank you for your inputs and god bless!
I actually already owned the DWE7480 when I got the Lotus table saw. I wanted a 220v table saw because my DWE7480 was 110v. I quickly realized that I didn't have room for a 2nd table saw in my small work area so I sold it. Yes, I would recommend the Lotus as a budget option for beginner wood workers.
hey bro 😊 me again.. need your help for the 2nd time.. nga pala i got my lotus saw horse and you're right medyo heavy duty feels siya ok na ok sa akin 😊 looking at beginner ts this time.. bosch user here pero parang mas good si lotus dito sa review mo.. ive seen your other 2 videos with regard to lotus.. my heart is with bosch pero "MAS" yata si lotus dito sa battle na to 😊
Yes, between these 2 models, I think you get more value from the Lotus. If you are already a Bosch user, I suggest you look at the 10XC or consider the Dewalt DWE7492. I have a video on that too.
@@VincheroKarpintero hey bro Happy New Year 😊 me again, with regard to Dewalt TS, very good ba AFTER SALES/SERVICE CENTERS nila dito sa atin? thanks much!
Now I got it. I just watch the other video where you did a review about the Bosch saw. You were actually paid to put a negative impact on the Bosch brand. Guys don't trust this guy. If you think you want to buy the Bosch brand saw, just go for it. No machines will come perfect.
I bought a gts 254 a few days ago. the worst thing I bought in my life. the entire work table is uneven, of course the saw cannot be adjusted to 90 degrees. the insert plate is terrible, because it cannot be lowered into its space. horror and disappointment in a company like Bosch. and to make things even worse, the explanation of the gentlemen from the service is that it is not covered by the warranty because "it must have fallen", there is no other explanation for the unevenness of the worktop
Not a real review, more of a "First Impression" unboxing video, dapat kasama sa consideration mo is the DURABILITY of the tool. Plus halata naman na Subjective review since Lotus Brand Ambassador ka. Marketing video lang to.
To be clear, I am not under any contract at the moment with Lotus nor am I an ambassador. Unless you know something I don't? Chris, are you my manager? How much is Lotus paying me at bakit di ako naambunan? Chris? Chris? Chris, please, sumagot ka...
@@VincheroKarpintero I see this as a very objective video. Testing ng durability I think is not possible for power tools. Unless gusto mo ng gimik na ibabagsak mo babasain mo o ganun. Pero this review is very good.
I own a GTS 254 but dont see any issues here and found the content objective. Not sure why people try to downplay such content and try to paint it as a marketing video where clearly the goal is to help inform 🤔
Lotus user here. My main concern about the lotus ts is the table itself is not flat. And that cause me to have some imperfect cuts.

nice but..... you have not discussed motor speed, blade quality, cut timing and build quality which would really bring out the performance of the two

Well explained. Are these better than Stanley 1801?
I was almost dead set on getting the Bosch. Thank you for the incredible helpful info and making me think twice.

Thank you so much for the review. I’m so excited to buy one.
Nice video. Very detailed. I wish you could also make a video review for the Stanley SST180.. budget table saw of Stanley.
Thanks for comparing these models! Does the Lotus have the same issues regarding the measurement that you have to subtract the width of the saw blade?
Dami ko na encounter na nag kaka problema agad ang motor ng lotus. Sa bosch wala pa

Nice review po! Pareview nga rin po ung ingco ts15008 table saw nila. Tnx po
tHanks I did not expect your verdict on the lotus but points are well explained.
The moulded switch guard can be 3D printed for the Lotus.😁
do you have a plan? or where can I get one? Thanksl
Can you do a review on super budget friendly powerhouse table and miter saws? There are hardly any reviews about powerhouse.
Hi, nice review...
Is Lotus has band saw?
meron ba blade wobble yung Bosch kagaya ng sa Lotus. Correct me if I'm wrong but that would be the difference between an accurate and straight cut vs. a cut na parang circular saw gumawa.
hi sir can you please make a comparison video of these table saw with the Skil jobsite table saw TS6307-00? thank you.
Lotus ..Pinoy brands
Ipagmalaki natin❤️🇵🇭
The sliding platform wins. Sa bosch you need to spend 30+ for to enjoy that feature...
dewalt at lotus pinagpipilian ko sir, mejo nadidismaya ako sa bosch lalo sa gts254
I still have my lotus TS, it's a good TS, still working love that sliding miter. Loud as hell, reason I bought another TS, but couldn't part with it, go figure.
Well said po.. Thanks sa clear review and update..
New friend mo po sir from TK. 😊
GOD BLESS ❤️
Have you mention the grilling function of the Lotus?
Lotus has micro angle blade adjustment, i don't see this feature in bosch.
The best review sir..
Nalilito na ko hahaha 💪💪
Sir, may I ask about the performance of motor? Thanks!
Sir lotus vs stanley naman
If you add Stanley sst1801 (another budget option) in the scrimmage, which would you choose?

What about the motor power of each?
The Truth to the matter is, it all depends on the woodworkers skills! Tools are operated by the worker...
Awesome review!!! 👍👍👍
I bought bosch in Slovakia last week and the blade was off few degrees, so not so great Q control from china...
Lotus in my view wins for this comparison
Lotus is the best?
Ilan ang kapal Ang kaya niya sir?
Pwede ba mag lagay dado blades sa lotus?
Cost please.

that bosch is almost 600 bucks. Is that budget?
Are you talking USD? Over here it's USD300 so if it's USD600 over there, I would definitely walk away. The GTS254 is NOT worth $600 in my opinion.
In Reality Bosch 254 is the Winner for the Diy Portable Saw..
Realistically, can you elaborate why you say this? 🤔
Lotus wins on this
