I smile when i see him riding, i hope he wins this year the RVV and Paris-Roubaix and much more. He and Andy Schleck are the best rider imo. Andy must win TdF!
When he attacked, like 50 km to the finish line, in Paris-Roubaix, with guys like Pozzato, Boonen, Flecha, Hammond, Hushovd, Hoste behind him and chasing him, and he had only 20 seconds of advantage, everyone knew that he would win. And that is the most amazing, nobody else is like that. What a class.
Sadly he will never win racings top prize, but for me he will always be far and away the most interesting rider on the track. The way he ran down the breakaways in the 08 olympics was freakish it was like, its all over and then somehow this madman comes flying out of the peleton and runs them all down.
Let's see--Cancellara came third (probably second) on the hilly Beijing road course; he simply rode away from all those sprinters at Milan-San Remo; he won a sprint stage at the Tour de France; his climbing must be okay since he won the Tour de Suisse today. Add in Paris-Roubaix and he is certainly "one of the best."
Assuming this isn't edited in any way, Fab goes through the 1km banner at 0:50 and crosses the line at 1:50. That's 37mph average around those twisty corners after many hours slogging !!
okay, but Alberto seems to succeed in everything he does and he has a whole career in front of him, he's only 23. He has the potential to be as good as Merckx etc. Cancellara is great in TT en very good in classics but he is still beatable in by Boonen (cobolds) or Valverde (hills) and even Contador in the TT in this years tour. Contador is almost unstoppable on the mountains and in a tour p.s. rry fr the long post but rlly passioned fr the sport
cancellare is definitely one of the best hardriders and time trialists. but you must say, that for a hardrider, he is very good in uphill and downhill. his technique is great and if this man would focus more on climbing,i think he also would be the best at that. he's such a complete rider. fir sprinters mark cavendish is definetly the best, for climbing probably contador and for cobbles tom boonen. thats what i think
yeah he really does perform huge amounts of work for the team, thats what makes him so great in my opinion oh srry my mistake, i think he's able to win LBL or something, but f crse he's not gnna win Paris-Roubaix.
I Love Cancellara, but he is a TT specialist. He can produce a huge amount of power, possibly more than any other rider. But his power to weight ratio isnt good enough to compete with the climbers in the big mountain passes.
@brelamich: If you say that cancellara cheats and you mean by this that you are jealeous that he was given better genetics than you ... then yes ... it is indeed unfair.
Well since we have wiggins, mercx, induarin and armstrong to look at in that department it is not unthinkable. Tho he would have to loose some weight.and really get into climbing.
yes, but to climb mountains he must be less heavier than he is now, look at indurain, in the 1989 tour he couldn´t climb the gighest mountains, but in 1990 with 6 or 7 kilos less than the year after he won the tour
It must be nice to literally pull off the front of any pro peloton at will-and stay away, with the knowledge that nobody in the world can stay on your wheel!
No fabian just needs to learn how to climb the biggest mountains in the tour. On short stretches of steep mountains I've seen him ride almost like a time trial.
You clearly haven't got a clue of what he's capable of. If he loses a few pounds and trains his mountain skills, he can easily end in the top 10 of the tdf. If you saw him last year, when he managed to tire the whole peleton on a difficult climb, you can simply see that he can do it. His weight is now 80 kilos, which is far too much to be able to reach the high mountains with the best, but as I just said: lose weight, change training and if he wants to: in two or three years, he might get there
he is probaby the last reason i watch cycling, he is fab, lets hope a crop of young drug free rider come along ,go on the dan martin doing ireland pround
Fabian must never lose weight to get a better climber, because then he will lose his timtrialcapacities. Better a nonclimbing timetrialchampion then a medium climber/timerider. SPARTACUS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@brelamich oh really, what is the proof, and if he does, how does he keep that kind of secret? Does he make that much to pay off all the mechanics to shut up? Now drop that dumb talk. One more thing, the only way to have a motor in a carbon frame is to pre mold it into the frame, would specialized risk its own integrity? think about it!
U can't say such things... Cancellara can't climb or sprint or even a decent hill so he's not the best rider he'll never be. Valverde aint in good shape... but ye whatever u'll probably go call me gay now or somethign because i doubt ur opinions :S
This is still one of my favorite videos on all of UA-cam.
I can't get enough of this. Excellent work!
A beast on the bike! I love his position, pure power rider, I actually dropped my saddle height like him and boy do I get more grunt.. Classy guy too!
true.
he's so smooth i got so close to him when he was getting into his team car after he won the london prologue.
He's AMAZING!!!
World Champion!!!
hi from Spain
Thanks for that. I had only seen him winning MSR once and had always wanted to see that again. He is a bad dude. Period.
it is in one word INCREDIBLE
I smile when i see him riding, i hope he wins this year the RVV and Paris-Roubaix and much more. He and Andy Schleck are the best rider imo. Andy must win TdF!
I agree 100%, perfect analysis!
What a class.
he's an incredible athlete
Cancellara is the best rider in the world!!!
You are simple the best
CANCELLARA!!!!!!!!!!!
es una máquina humana...
simply the best
wow, nice job, i like this video :D
5:00: outputting almost 2kW on the saddle!!
impresionante fabian.
28, already a legend
Cancellara, Bettini and Lance were the best of the last decade.
GRANDE FABIAAAN!!!
Against the clock there is none better. Would love to see him win the TDF if he could sort out his climbing abilities. Great video!
The best driver for my .#1
Fabian's the man ! Anybody has his Beijing olympics Time trial race ? Long live Spartacus !
Contador was a "pure" climber and now is a very good trial specialist. I hope he will try classics soon, like Schleck brothers
That's alright...we're good people, we respect your opinion. Thanks for sharing.
Sadly he will never win racings top prize, but for me he will always be far and away the most interesting rider on the track. The way he ran down the breakaways in the 08 olympics was freakish it was like, its all over and then somehow this madman comes flying out of the peleton and runs them all down.
love to see what he could do on a chris boardman style bike, a pure machine, and one of the only cyclist worth watching now.
I don't know how the creator of this film managed to pull it off, but this song goes perfect with the first clip.
Fabian Cancelarra THE BEST!
Too cool!!
I am a living legend
The two songs are:
Lara Fabian - Wonderful Life
Foo Fighters - The Pretender
the best
he's not like the others... :)
Big fan of Boonen, but if someone else has to win RVV/P-R, plz let it be der Fabian!! :D
Great video
What i meant to say is he's the best at what he does. When it comes to time trailing he's in a different league.
Hi, all
May I ask what is the background music of this video?
Thanks
When he gets a small distance from the peloton, everyone know that he won it already
FABIAN Best Of the Best :)
@henkdeplenk you're absolutely right, he and andy are the best two riders in the world
fabian and andy let's do it!
Let's see--Cancellara came third (probably second) on the hilly Beijing road course; he simply rode away from all those sprinters at Milan-San Remo; he won a sprint stage at the Tour de France; his climbing must be okay since he won the Tour de Suisse today. Nice whats the name of the first song
okay, but Alberto seems to succeed in everything he does and he has a whole career in front of him, he's only 23. He has the potential to be as good as Merckx etc.
Cancellara is great in TT en very good in classics but he is still beatable in by Boonen (cobolds) or Valverde (hills) and even Contador in the TT in this years tour. Contador is almost unstoppable on the mountains and in a tour
p.s. rry fr the long post but rlly passioned fr the sport
i only hate him for the fact he took the victory from gilbert in the tour de swiss, for the rest i love him
cancellare is definitely one of the best hardriders and time trialists. but you must say, that for a hardrider, he is very good in uphill and downhill. his technique is great and if this man would focus more on climbing,i think he also would be the best at that. he's such a complete rider. fir sprinters mark cavendish is definetly the best, for climbing probably contador and for cobbles tom boonen. thats what i think
Ele é o cara
Who's the artist of the song? It's nice.
Cancellara rules
Contador is actually 26 and Cancellara is 28.
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the first song?
@EGGtart12 Wonderful life, it's a lara fabian's cover
he's a locomotive!
yeah he really does perform huge amounts of work for the team, thats what makes him so great in my opinion
oh srry my mistake,
i think he's able to win LBL or something, but f crse he's not gnna win Paris-Roubaix.
whats the first song?
Mathilde Santhing : Here I Go Out To Sea Again
who sings thats songs?
Along with Valverde
I Love Cancellara, but he is a TT specialist. He can produce a huge amount of power, possibly more than any other rider. But his power to weight ratio isnt good enough to compete with the climbers in the big mountain passes.
@brelamich: If you say that cancellara cheats and you mean by this that you are jealeous that he was given better genetics than you ... then yes ... it is indeed unfair.
I fucking simply agree. You just can see that he has it, he just need to change his training and lose some weight.
Well since we have wiggins, mercx, induarin and armstrong to look at in that department it is not unthinkable.

he is like Miguel Indurain before he won his first Tour , Fabian just have to lose 5 or 6 kilogrames
What the hell is up with the music? Cancellara is the greatest. Long live Spartacus!
i think it is mathilde santing
It must be nice to literally pull off the front of any pro peloton at will-and stay away, with the knowledge that nobody in the world can stay on your wheel!

OK he's very good but he doesn't even compare to what Contador is doing at such a young age
Mechanical doper like Cancellara ??? A best WTF is best motor bike of his !!!
Perhaps but I think putting on some more muscle would help him more than losing weight.
he is probaby the last reason i watch cycling, he is fab, lets hope a crop of young drug free rider come along ,go on the dan martin doing ireland pround
are we walking on the beach holding hands with our sweetheart??? Nonesense music.
Foo fighters the pretender
Great vid! Music sucks :P
Fabian must never lose weight to get a better climber, because then he will lose his timtrialcapacities. Better a nonclimbing timetrialchampion then a medium climber/timerider. SPARTACUS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahaha yeah the music is next to worthless indeed LOL

This man cheats
terrible music. come on, man.
what's the first song?
