Best feature on Cancellara and one of the best on cycling I've seen yet. Captures many key moments in this race, dramatically spotlight's Cancellara's overwhelming power on his rivals - and the music; it's suspense, it's seemingly weeping melodies for Cancellara's carnage of victims, and it's dark overtones as if Cancellara - the grim reaper has come for you, encapsulated with the beautiful chorus in the end where Cancellara returns to glorious victory, like a Swiss Knight...all magnificent!
Must be a great feeling to have this kind of power. Most mpressive sportsman ever, I think. Belgians call him the 'platwalser', meaning bulldozer or something... :) very nice compilation!
the ending was the best - ... the closing of the music... the coasting through the finish .... then the podium.... I bet you had this all played out in your head before you made the video. very nice work my good man! To the music questioners - i think it suited the video well - maybe would have slowed the video to his cadence at times to drive the point home - but great work.
Fabian Cancellara is an anomaly among professional cyclists. For one thing he has the wholesome build of a rugby wing forward (he is 6ft 1in and 80kg) while the rest mostly resemble Welsh wingers from the 1970s. When he stands next to his milk-fed team-mates at presentation ceremonies it looks like he has brought his kids along in cute replica jerseys.
Spartacus, "de platwalser", de tank, de stoomtrein, there's loads of nicknames for Fabian around here because people are cycling crazy and love Boonen and Cancellara's rivalry
Musical taste is subjective, so for those comments on the music having "sucked", there are many people out there who would equally agree that this music was a refreshing and welcome change to all the mob favouring hip-hop, trance and the like. This is one person's perspective expressed beautifully and it can be appreciated for what it has contributed over all the other content on cycling and Cancellara. Again - excellent production! I'd love to see similar videos to the music of 300 or Conan!
So amazing, the second person he overtakes must be like: 'what the heck, didnt he start 4 minutes behind me?' Then 10 second later: 'Holy cow, Cancellara is riding 5 km/h faster than me.'
Some might be sad for Tony, but Tony was much younger too. Time trial sometimes can be tricky when it comes to ages. Slightly older riders has more experience on levels of power control too.
@dainosor90 Only for very very short sections. This was not intentional. Merely a technical error. Something to do with different sample rates of audio while splitting off sections of the original video. Can't remember exactly how it happened but I never noticed it at the time. 99% of the video is at the right speed.
Monster indeed. I'm not sure if it was this TT, but canche could do 500W for an hour and wiggins were said to have been 600W for 4 minutes at the height of the day.
I don't even think sour jerks talking that thought it would catch. Guy was most explosive combo of power and acceleration/cadence we had /have ever seen whatever his focus turned to he smashed it. London prologue and 2011 e3 for me were mind blowing. Such power
He should go to a team where he could settle and concentrate on his cycling, instead of the madhouse where he is now. When he was at Saxo Bank he was untouchable, he never crashed. The last two years he has crashed, been seriously injured, he has been beaten on the line and he even hit the barrier in the world championship TT... something is not right
I do not watch cycling races anymore since they killed the time trials. Where is prologue time trial, where are long tt stages? I personally enjoyed tt's more than stage races and nowadays they are boring especially after Fabian.
i cant believed it, he past until three guys in an hour? cancellara its the unique rider that has been able do it this. tony martin never will be as him

The best cycle race I've ever seen. This is perfection.
I just cried a lone tear the colors of the World Champion jersey. Good job, Bhima. Fantastic job, Fabian.
Best TT ride I have ever seen one of the all time best.... Such margin
The classiest cycling video on UA-cam. Well done.
No crazy songs. No stupid editing. But it doesn't need either....the footage speaks for itself.
I like this. Despite random errors in editing this is a wonderfully done video. Thank you for pleasing the LORD SPARTACUS!!!
Incredible!! The Best all times: Fabian Fabulous Cancellara!!!!
Spartacus has no equal. This is the finest video of all time. You are god of youtube, my friend.
Superb. Good editing, appropriately dramatic music.
Must be a great feeling to have this kind of power. Most mpressive sportsman ever, I think. Belgians call him the 'platwalser', meaning bulldozer or something... :) very nice compilation!
so euro. quality vid, i hadn't even seen half of those clips before this. much better than universal sports.
Prob the best amature editing ive ever seen, well done dude
Wow! That was a FANtastic video. Well done.

Swiss knifes = Best
Swiss watch = Best
Swiss cyclist = best

Outstanding video !
Nice edit! Very nice!
@MusicalManchild77
The music is from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, called "The Forbidden Pool".
Unbelievable, Simply amazingness!
Damn wish i could make a video like this
thankyou @BhimaB that was truly, truly, epic. Cheers!
Spartacus, "de platwalser", de tank, de stoomtrein, there's loads of nicknames for Fabian around here because people are cycling crazy and love Boonen and Cancellara's rivalry
@BhimaB This is a Great video. Thanks! What is the music? I think it matches perfectly...it's very Epic...
This Was EPIC!!!
@BhimaB Well put together mate. Sparticus = supreme powerhouse.
HALLO ZUSAMMEN SUPPER BILDER UND SUPPER MUSIK
GRUSS RINALTO
I return to this video again and again. What beautiful form. And is that Mahler?

awesome video!
Fabian are the swiss rocket🤗👍
WOW
What a great video...
Really
Great video! I've been sick and tired of some videos with lousy electronica songs.
Truly is the best TT rider in the world.
Vola Fabian!!
love the edits of Wiggins losing his rag ! (sad moment though....)
So amazing, the second person he overtakes must be like: 'what the heck, didnt he start 4 minutes behind me?' Then 10 second later: 'Holy cow, Cancellara is riding 5 km/h faster than me.'
Had a giggle at the ending
epic ! more videos like this one!
That music is incredible. Where is it from? What is it?
Oh, very nice job then :) & Fabian rules ^^
Nice one Bhima
Fabian Cancellara une legende du cyclisme un veritable avion de chasse
il est imbatable dans l effort solitaire , quelle puissance dans les jambes
Some might be sad for Tony, but Tony was much younger too. Time trial sometimes can be tricky when it comes to ages. Slightly older riders has more experience on levels of power control too.
Well said. That was cancellara at his absolute peak though.
God on earth, there he is!!
great vid he is awesome! Pity the organisation completeley messed up the seeding of the field!!
i am speechless
Sarà sempre il num 1
@BhimaB I like the music and the video!
@aeversme
I felt the need to experiment with unusual music as a challenge. While the tempo is not exciting, I liked the mood of the music.
As per the way dominated he raced music suits perfectly my man
For an unknown reason, the video resolution changes at 4:55 No idea why. Sorry, this is something youtube has done. I can't get round it.
@BhimaB Makes my body ache just thinking about the physical effort required!
@dainosor90
its pretty ok, I saw you comment before the clip about the tempo, its not prominent like I expected
It's not been on TV. I made it using the footage from the live feed of the race when it was on Sporza.
@tomforster85
Thanks, but it's far from my best editing! Only a 2 hour job.

Something to do with different sample rates of audio while splitting off sections of the original video. Can't remember exactly how it happened but I never noticed it at the time. 99% of the video is at the right speed.
Let's hope for Cancellara, Martin, and Wiggins all being in shape and battling it out in 2013.
epic!
Monster indeed. I'm not sure if it was this TT, but canche could do 500W for an hour and wiggins were said to have been 600W for 4 minutes at the height of the day.
anyone knows the name of the song???
paused on 3.20 whats hanging under his saddle ????????????
... WOW ...
how would you sleep at night, after years of preparing for a TT and got overtaken????
@moefis Its a timing chip.
@ramosFTW
Thankyou. More to come in the future...
Was this from 'wielerjaaroverzicht 2009' on sporza or what program was it?
@abasiak
"The Forbidden Pool" from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
How the hell do they drink while still in the aero position?
machine
Vroom vroom.
Seams most do not remember his tour Debut? he was killing the Time trial then..
Motor in sharp time trial bicycle frame ?? A you seriously ? Cancellara is the BEST !
I don't even think sour jerks talking that thought it would catch. Guy was most explosive combo of power and acceleration/cadence we had /have ever seen whatever his focus turned to he smashed it. London prologue and 2011 e3 for me were mind blowing. Such power
The Tank
Nicely made vid, but the music could be more exciting to match the intensity of the race. Just sayin'.
what music is?
whats the song?
@dainosor90 it´s false. he doesn´t increase the original tempo. it´s all y her site
song?
What was the profile of the course like? How much climbing?
Hey how many miles was this TT?
It's a shame it's in 480
@thebrainiac1
tanks I've learned again what of time trial :)
fabian is so great, but he just livi in the era of another great man whose name is just peter for now, but his name it will be.....peter the great....
Cancellara looks like he was riding a motorbike! Say it aint so Fabian!
nice lord of the rings soundtrack
Thats where you're wrong. You just dont get it
He should go to a team where he could settle and concentrate on his cycling, instead of the madhouse where he is now. When he was at Saxo Bank he was untouchable, he never crashed. The last two years he has crashed, been seriously injured, he has been beaten on the line and he even hit the barrier in the world championship TT... something is not right
Amazing speed! Did he cheat? But what's the point of winning if you do so.
Spartacus was a gladiator, not a lord
surely he had an average higher than 15mph?
good maths
@yeagemk 50 km / 31.06 miles done in 57:55
I do not watch cycling races anymore since they killed the time trials. Where is prologue time trial, where are long tt stages? I personally enjoyed tt's more than stage races and nowadays they are boring especially after Fabian.
you increase the original tempo of the video! that's not cool...
the video is awesome. The music is awesome. But just leave it in normal speed.
Huh? That's a 32 mph avg
LOL, anyone think TT with track bike would be dope ??? ;)
Not even Eddy Merck or indurain could beat Fabian that day
swiss cheese
Fabian is not spartacus
he is not from this planet :)
i cant believed it, he past until three guys in an hour? cancellara its the unique rider that has been able do it this. tony martin never will be as him
Peter who? Lol.. Destroyed twice this year by Fabian
