@mattneff I remember in Matilda, the dad said he didn't even go to college. When I was younger, it seemed weird that they had put college down. But, now it's like, why do they push college on us? Your last FU Francine showed why Mr. Frensky is one of the best adults in the show. And hey, garbage collection is a job that has to be done. It pays well, too.
This is one of those worst things Francine Ever Done. That is pretty messed up. Francine is a total a hole. Especially another character who is a total menance to society, Edward from Camp Lazlo. Is it me, or is Binky actually the most likeable "bully" character on the show? Also, do an episode on "MacFrensky," the one where Francine frames the Brain for stealing Buster's alien robot toy just so she can win a dumb Student of the Month award.
Why didn't Mr. Frensky think to suggest fixing up his old bike? Yes, a brand new bike is expensive, but cleaning, putting on a fresh new coat of paint, and parts for a bike aren't expensive. Plus, given his line of work, he probably has some sort of mechanical skills and also some skills with a toolbox to fix it up before giving it to Francine in the first place. So I think Mr. Frensky needs at least A SMALL PERCENTAGE of the F.U. in that episode.

This included my brother's first bike, my first bike, a cylinder "aquarium" lamp (you filled it with water, and there were these plastic fish that bobbed around in the bubbles while the light cycled through red blue and green, it was neat) and once my dad brought home a store display Nintendo Virtual Boy (and it freaking WORKED) What did my dad do for a job? He worked for a state institution working on/maintaining HVAC systems. So what he was doing at the dump so often is beyond me, but I thought it was normal as a child. Y'know, this really should be an FU Catherine episode... because Francine didn't care that her dad was a garbage man until Catherine said something about it.
I now find it interesting how Mr. Frensky is supposed to be paid a wage higher than a lot of white collar workers but somehow the show didn't portray that. I wonder if PBS is just ignorant of how much waste management/sanitation workers get paid (the most likely explanation). Another explanation is that they simply are extremely frugal (which can partly explain the "we don't have the money right now") or they simply have commitments we don't know about (definitely not paying medical bills but I can accept if they are paying off debt or saving money, or both). It can't be that because rent is expensive since Elwood City is not like New York, even if the apartment is spacious. It could be a personal choice for them to stay in that apartment because, if the pay argument stands, Mr. Frensky can afford for his family to move to a house, at least not now. They could be using the money to go to the girls' college funds and their retirement funds, and they aim to live rent free. Still, I think PBS just wanted to show a blue collar family and were likely to be ignorant of the true pay rates of sanitation engineers/waste management workers. Or they did know how much Mr. Frensky is paid which is why Francine is always well provided for and she only really complained about having to room in with Katherine (if one of the kids were a boy instead, then they would have moved from that apartment).
Yet he apparently knew to remove the bananas from their skins in _How the Cookie Crumbles._ Also, I'm sure Freud would have had a field day with Binky's banana obsession.
Both of these are also episodes from the first season I sometimes forgot existed, even as "Stolen Bike" (Season 1 Episode 29B) was rarely shown in reruns when I was younger. Though at 5:21, it is possible that this episode could take place before "Poor Muffy" (Season 1 Episode 26B), as no other direct connections to it are made.

1:33 They didn't even peel the bananas
I blame Binky for that one
lol good catch!
📝 peel bananas
Yet he apparently knew to remove the bananas from their skins in _How the Cookie Crumbles._
Also, I'm sure Freud would have had a field day with Binky's banana obsession.
You know honestly dad job episode should be called FU Catherine
Tbh the first episode should have been an FU Katherine because she was the one who made Francine feel embarrassed in the first place.
Eh Binky deserved it for punching Arthur
Lol probably
Mr crosswire as Matilda’s dad is pure gold
This episode stuck with me from childhood!
0:45 YES, THANK YOU!!!
I've been saying that for years.
“Or a normal dad that doesn’t boink your teacher on the weekends” 😂😂😂😂
Great content as always
Wait for Father’s Day, she’ll destroy it
Both of these are also episodes from the first season I sometimes forgot existed, even as "Stolen Bike" (Season 1 Episode 29B) was rarely shown in reruns when I was younger. Though at 5:21, it is possible that this episode could take place before "Poor Muffy" (Season 1 Episode 26B), as no other direct connections to it are made.
Hii I love your videos! You’re so funny!
Thanks! What episode should I cover next?
I don’t remember if you’ve done it but maybe The Good Sport?
can you review the episode where Ratburn stays at Arthurs house
We fighting after that😂😂😂 4:40
Thank you for the new video, Matt!
Of course! Which episode should I cover next?
Omg mr. Crosswire being matilda's dad 💯💯
You should do some Binky episodes next. Like…..BINKY VS BINKY, from the earlier seasons!
