Someone mentioned LA Girl as a one brand tutorial and I second that. I have come across some true gems from that brand and they are super affordable. My favorite brow pencil is that $2 e.l.f. one in the white tube. I feel like that is in between a super skinny and tear drop shaped one. My brows are left over from the 90's so I just have a couple of spots to fill in on each brow and that one works perfectly for what I need.
I've been trying out the green concealer from L.A. Girl to mix in with my foundations (for all the olive toned people out there) and it works really well. I would like to see more of the brand as well!

For me, the big ones are: 1. ELF Camo Concealer 2. ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil 3. CoverGirl Cheekers Blush 4. Essence Lash Princess mascara (the purple one) 5. Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Highlighter used in my waterline (game changer!) 6. Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Crayon 7. Emily's Makeup Revolution The Needs palette 8. IT Superhero mascara (not on the affordable side, but amazing!) Your videos are so helpful and I never buy a product without seeing if you have a video about it first! Thanks for all you do! 💕

That flat foundation/blending brush from Essence works perfectly for Elf putty blushes. It is just the right size, and density, to get in the small blush containers, and just stiff enough to stipple the blush on the cheeks. I’m going to pick up a couple more of those brushes. I have the Paris, and Berlin eyeshadow palettes and absolutely love them. I can’t wait to get the other palettes in this brand. They are the perfect size for me…not too big and not too small.
That jelly type shadow from the Coffee palette is great as a booster for the shimmer shades sort of like when you wet your brush to make a shimmer more glowy. Just barely tap your finger with the product on your lid then apply the shimmers and it gives the shimmers a nice boost and it’s not sticky it works essentially like a glitter glue ..

So thank you for that. *Also, I have to tell you that I bought the nail polish you had on a little while back. It's a blueish, greenish color called mermaid 🧜♀️ something.. What's wrong with the word "goopy".....can't believe someone made a comment that you shouldn't use it....it's an actual word...I looked it up, hahaha. Also loved the look, wasn't sure about that "kelly" green eye shadow, but it turned out really pretty. For myself, I do prefer more olive greens with my eye color. Love your videos so much.

I haven't tried a full face, and I appreciate you demonstrating it for us! I used to also use peach colored eye shadows when I was a teenager (also the iced whites and baby blues from the 90s 😅), and I hadn't thought of that in years. I actually way prefer cool tones with my complexion, but I sure did use that peach! 😆
*Please do a Revlon full face. Their Colorstay line is great, the cream eyeshadows will stay put after swimming 😍 and will not crease. The highlighter SKINLIGHTS in the shade "Daybreak glimmer" is a dupe for Anastasia Amrezy. Apparently their fierce mascara are awesome, I haven't tried those but have heard them mentioned on youtube.* *For staying power in the lower lash line, apply the milani eyeshadow primer also under your lower lashline.*

I've been dealing with psoriasis. Came out of no where. I'm 29 ugh. So it got me into clean/vegan products. Would you be interested in doing an all clean makeup look or a clean/vegan brand review??
I have normal/dry combo 56 y/o skin and the essence pretty natural foundation is a huge favorite for me. On my skin, it beats all the others in its category hands down, hi-low end price point. I pair it with their moisturizing primer and it wears very well. I appreciate that it has zero spf and neither products interfere with my spf which is the last layer of my skincare before makeup. I find both products go on best with fingers and the foundation shades are very forgiving without oxidation. Just goes to show that we all may have different experiences with different products. Oh, that concealer! I was sure I heard it sucking the moisture right out of you as you were putting it on! You have such beautiful skin, and this face makeup is very aging. I mean, you are still beautiful, but... The eye look is beautiful, and it is nice to see a palette that is nearly all matte. I know exactly what you meant by "waxy" on the lipsticks. Cheap (not just inexpensive, but *cheap*) often have too much wax in them. Unfortunately, since Revlon has never been cruelty-free, and Wet 'n' Wild lost their cruelty-free status, E.L.F. would be my go-to for these. What is wrong with "goopy"?!

I can say that I've not had a wear problem with the Pretty Natural foundation (normal, slightly dry skin type) over any of my primers. I have the ELF Power Grip, Neutrogina SPF and the Laura Gellar Mattify Spackle Primer. Then again, I aim for lighter coverage than you tend to since any coverage I put on looks higher coverage than it actually is because my skin is pretty good to begin with.
I needed a new clear brow gel (mine was OLD and I could tell...) so I got NYX Control Freak based on yours (and others) recommendations and OMG it's amazing! I LOVE how there isn't a ton of product on the brush. I do wish the brush was a bit smaller for my brows, BUT I also gave it a whirl as a lash primer (at the recommendation of a Pinterest follow) and it was so good! I brushed and curled my lashes, applied the NYX brow gel and let it dry for about 30-45 seconds, then applied my mascara and it was so good! I love affordable, multi-tasking products! :)
Have you seen the essence new 16hr face powder and jelly gripping primer? I bought them and a bunch of other new essence makeup. The face powder is really nice if you use it as a setting powder. It’s transfer and waterproof, also slightly matte but I have been absolutely loving it on my skin lately. Also the new the highlighter is beautiful and for 3.99 it’s beautiful and a decent size too I have the lightest shade and the pink shade is beautiful. The pink shade isn’t as dark as it appears online.
I bought the flat top brush that you are using for foundation and it got broken after a few weeks of being used. If you use it everyday for make up and clean it, you will encounter that the bristles will come off in its enterity after 6 weeks of use, or less. I do not recommend it.
Essence has some very good products that I happy to have discovered. Emily Thank You for making these individual brand videos! It is very informative to find products that are great but I may have overlooked because I didn’t know about the brand. ❤️❤️❤️😘😘
Essence brushes are actually pretty good, particularly the ones from their constant line. They come up with some for their limited collections, which are good, but can be hit or miss. Unlike these ones, which are pretty consistant. Like the palette, the London one looks pretty too.

Hi Emily! I purchased the Hard Candy bronzer in Tan that you featured recently. It's great and I reach for it over all of my other bronzers. I've never even heard of the brand prior to you using it. At Walmart I checked out other Hard Candy products and bought a 4 pan eyeshadow palette in ENVY (all shadows of green LOL!) for a little over $4.00. Haven't used it yet. Would love to see you use a full face from this brand, especially one of the Moods eyeshadow palettes which ENVY was just one of several. Thanks!
Emily if you want better stay power for under shadow put a little eye primer under the eye also. I just put the last little bit on my fingers after doing the lid and it’s made a huge difference.

One thing I found, for those of us who can't or won't throw away a product, (I use very lt. concealer), is to put concealer on freshly applied moisturizer, esp lower eyelids.
I have loved your videos ever since I found you on here at least 8 years ago. I appreciate your honesty and down to earth style. Plus I have learned so many tips n tricks with makeup application. As far as "goopy", just say what you feel! I feel you have a good way with words and I sense you try to say things tastefully as to not offend the pansies in our society. There's a brand of (mostly) cream products on ulta called Ere Perez. I've tried their cream blushes in a pot and LOVE them. Maybe a 1 brand tutorial from them? I know they don't have very many products but it would still be amazing seeing a youtuber spotlight these products bc I've never heard anyone talk about them!

Good morning..! 🙋♀️ I find essence is a hit & miss brand. I have tried a few prods and the most of it, I've disliked. Their blushes I used to like bcause the shades are beautiful but sadly, on my cheeks the longevity is not a good one.🤷♀️ So, is not a brand I tend to use unless we are talking about their lash mascaras which are fantastic..!
Ulta has now a 9% Cash back on Rakuten. I haven't tried much from Essence, actually just the lash princess mascara in the green letters but last night with the 9% cash back I decided to get the newest lash princess mascara in the pink letters, the blush in the shade bespoke and the all about matt compact powder. We'll see.
Oh. That concealer was in my declutter pile and now is one of my favourites. I have normal skin with an oily nose. Every time I used that concealer it looked heavy. Then my daily moisturizer ran out and I used my night time heavy cream (Nivea soft- white 200 ml jar). With it this concealer looked flawless and stayed all day.😍 I put a triangle of it under my eyes and blend it on the centre of my face. It matches my skin tone perfectly so I don't use any foundation.☺️
I have and enjoy many Essence products. The mascaras are great. I've become obsessed with their blushlighters, they are so pretty! The little six pan eyeshadow palettes are nice for travel. I also like their lip glosses and nail polish.

That flat foundation/blending brush from Essence works perfectly for Elf putty blushes. It is just the right size, and density, to get in the small blush containers, and just stiff enough to stipple the blush on the cheeks. I’m going to pick up a couple more of those brushes. I have the Paris, and Berlin eyeshadow palettes and absolutely love them. I can’t wait to get the other palettes in this brand. They are the perfect size for me…not too big and not too small.
This turned out to be a pretty look. If I didn't know better I would think you got that look from the Urban Decay Wild West palette
That jelly type shadow from the Coffee palette is great as a booster for the shimmer shades sort of like when you wet your brush to make a shimmer more glowy. Just barely tap your finger with the product on your lid then apply the shimmers and it gives the shimmers a nice boost and it’s not sticky it works essentially like a glitter glue ..

What's wrong with the word "goopy".....can't believe someone made a comment that you shouldn't use it....it's an actual word...I looked it up, hahaha. Also loved the look, wasn't sure about that "kelly" green eye shadow, but it turned out really pretty. For myself, I do prefer more olive greens with my eye color. Love your videos so much.

The bronzer seems awfully warm toned for a contour, almost looked like a blush, but of course that isnt Emilys fault!! Agree that essence blushes are great. Have a great holiday weekend
I agree that particular shade is definitely on the warmer side (my camera also pulls that color out a bit more) - but somehow in the end it seems to work! :D

I haven't tried a full face, and I appreciate you demonstrating it for us! I used to also use peach colored eye shadows when I was a teenager (also the iced whites and baby blues from the 90s 😅), and I hadn't thought of that in years. I actually way prefer cool tones with my complexion, but I sure did use that peach! 😆

*Please do a Revlon full face. Their Colorstay line is great, the cream eyeshadows will stay put after swimming 😍 and will not crease. The highlighter SKINLIGHTS in the shade "Daybreak glimmer" is a dupe for Anastasia Amrezy. Apparently their fierce mascara are awesome, I haven't tried those but have heard them mentioned on youtube.*
*For staying power in the lower lash line, apply the milani eyeshadow primer also under your lower lashline.*

Just shows us how personal makeup is. Both wet n wild foundations wear terrible on my skin however the Essence one does great all day! One of my favorites. Love your videos. Best part of Saturday morning ❤️

I have normal/dry combo 56 y/o skin and the essence pretty natural foundation is a huge favorite for me. On my skin, it beats all the others in its category hands down, hi-low end price point. I pair it with their moisturizing primer and it wears very well. I appreciate that it has zero spf and neither products interfere with my spf which is the last layer of my skincare before makeup. I find both products go on best with fingers and the foundation shades are very forgiving without oxidation. Just goes to show that we all may have different experiences with different products. The eye look is beautiful, and it is nice to see a palette that is nearly all matte.
I know exactly what you meant by "waxy" on the lipsticks. Cheap (not just inexpensive, but *cheap*) often have too much wax in them.
Unfortunately, since Revlon has never been cruelty-free, and Wet 'n' Wild lost their cruelty-free status, E.L.F. would be my go-to for these.

I can say that I've not had a wear problem with the Pretty Natural foundation (normal, slightly dry skin type) over any of my primers. I have the ELF Power Grip, Neutrogina SPF and the Laura Gellar Mattify Spackle Primer. Then again, I aim for lighter coverage than you tend to since any coverage I put on looks higher coverage than it actually is because my skin is pretty good to begin with.
I needed a new clear brow gel (mine was OLD and I could tell...) so I got NYX Control Freak based on yours (and others) recommendations and OMG it's amazing! I LOVE how there isn't a ton of product on the brush. I do wish the brush was a bit smaller for my brows, BUT I also gave it a whirl as a lash primer (at the recommendation of a Pinterest follow) and it was so good! I brushed and curled my lashes, applied the NYX brow gel and let it dry for about 30-45 seconds, then applied my mascara and it was so good! I love affordable, multi-tasking products! :)
Have you seen the essence new 16hr face powder and jelly gripping primer? I bought them and a bunch of other new essence makeup. The face powder is really nice if you use it as a setting powder. It’s transfer and waterproof, also slightly matte but I have been absolutely loving it on my skin lately.
Also the new the highlighter is beautiful and for 3.99 it’s beautiful and a decent size too I have the lightest shade and the pink shade is beautiful. The pink shade isn’t as dark as it appears online.

L’Oréal is the best drugstore brand, IMO. Maybelline is second for me.
I bought the flat top brush that you are using for foundation and it got broken after a few weeks of being used. If you use it everyday for make up and clean it, you will encounter that the bristles will come off in its enterity after 6 weeks of use, or less. I do not recommend it.

Essence has some very good products that I happy to have discovered. Emily Thank You for making these individual brand videos! It is very informative to find products that are great but I may have overlooked because I didn’t know about the brand. ❤️❤️❤️😘😘
Essence brushes are actually pretty good, particularly the ones from their constant line. They come up with some for their limited collections, which are good, but can be hit or miss. Unlike these ones, which are pretty consistant.
Like the palette, the London one looks pretty too.

Hi Emily! I purchased the Hard Candy bronzer in Tan that you featured recently. It's great and I reach for it over all of my other bronzers. I've never even heard of the brand prior to you using it. At Walmart I checked out other Hard Candy products and bought a 4 pan eyeshadow palette in ENVY (all shadows of green LOL!) for a little over $4.00. Haven't used it yet. Would love to see you use a full face from this brand, especially one of the Moods eyeshadow palettes which ENVY was just one of several. Thanks!

Emily if you want better stay power for under shadow put a little eye primer under the eye also. I just put the last little bit on my fingers after doing the lid and it’s made a huge difference.

One thing I found, for those of us who can't or won't throw away a product, (I use very lt. concealer), is to put concealer on freshly applied moisturizer, esp lower eyelids.
I have loved your videos ever since I found you on here at least 8 years ago. I appreciate your honesty and down to earth style. Plus I have learned so many tips n tricks with makeup application. As far as "goopy", just say what you feel! I feel you have a good way with words and I sense you try to say things tastefully as to not offend the pansies in our society. There's a brand of (mostly) cream products on ulta called Ere Perez. I've tried their cream blushes in a pot and LOVE them. Maybe a 1 brand tutorial from them? I know they don't have very many products but it would still be amazing seeing a youtuber spotlight these products bc I've never heard anyone talk about them!

Good morning..! 🙋♀️ I find essence is a hit & miss brand. I have tried a few prods and the most of it, I've disliked. Their blushes I used to like bcause the shades are beautiful but sadly, on my cheeks the longevity is not a good one.🤷♀️ So, is not a brand I tend to use unless we are talking about their lash mascaras which are fantastic..!
I have oily/combo/normal-to-dry eczema cheeks & love foundation. Stays on well, even w/mask. Never got patchy.

I haven't tried much from Essence, actually just the lash princess mascara in the green letters but last night with the 9% cash back I decided to get the newest lash princess mascara in the pink letters, the blush in the shade bespoke and the all about matt compact powder. We'll see.
Oh. That concealer was in my declutter pile and now is one of my favourites. I have normal skin with an oily nose. Every time I used that concealer it looked heavy. Then my daily moisturizer ran out and I used my night time heavy cream (Nivea soft- white 200 ml jar). With it this concealer looked flawless and stayed all day.😍 I put a triangle of it under my eyes and blend it on the centre of my face. It matches my skin tone perfectly so I don't use any foundation.☺️
I have and enjoy many Essence products. The mascaras are great. I've become obsessed with their blushlighters, they are so pretty! The little six pan eyeshadow palettes are nice for travel. I also like their lip glosses and nail polish.
