I love these videos because I’m a nurse who works 12.5 hour shifts, and I like to stay looking fresh!
Love Milani eyeshadow primer. It makes my eyeshadow stay put/vibrant/long wearing... Ive been going on walks with my 21 month old and 3yr old (little guy chills in the stroller wagon while my oldest wakls on the trail with me). I feel sweat gross, i know lol) on my eyelids/crease, but it still doesn't fade or crease my shadow, and I've been wearing a lot of ColourPop's super shock shadows along with powder eyeshadow. When I take my makeup off at night, it still looks great. Plus ive had the same tube since around Christmas (usually wear makeup 5x a week). And still have maybe 20% left? Anyway, absolutely love it.

You actually read my mind with the Milani eyeshadow primer tutorial. Milani is finally available in Ireland so I ordered a tube as I know you've raved about it for years. I can't wait to see if it works for my super oily, extremely hooded eyelids.
My favorite ND pallet is “My Dream Pallet” but also love “The Glam Pallet”. They last as long as you say! I don’t go long term with my makeup by ND is always spot on. Also Viseart, but I like Mac a lot! ND does tricolor and sparkle the best!

Emily, try the IT Cosmetics Superhero waterproof mascara. Once it sets, it will not move, flake or smudge. Lasts all day. Yet, it easily comes off at night with my Burt’s Bees cleansing oil and micellar water. ❤

IT Hero lash is one of my favorite mascaras, but I don’t wear it enough because it’s not waterproof, and I bought it before they came out with their waterproof version. I cannot wait to get that! I think that’s going to be a perfect mascara for me!

Ahhh that lip combo😍 yes i agree that covergirl outlast red cap concealer is super long wearing !! Also picked up the covergirl tinted balm in "Bliss you berry " and love it 🥰.

Do you guys have a hard time getting a shade match in CoverGirl foundations? I always feel like it's too deep or too light or if I find the right depth of shade, the undertone is strange.

If you haven’t tried the Sephora “Colorful Waterproof Eyeshadow & Eyeliner Multi-Stick”, you’re seriously missing out! I’ve never had an eye shadow pencil that had the all-day staying power as this product does. It’s quite amazing with no primer needed.
I do wish they had more color choices in the matte formula as I don’t do shiny or glittery at my age.
I remember my pal David talking about the Sephora shadow sticks being so good! I have an older one- should probably give them another look!

Could you do more Natasha Denona looks? I love her palettes and you are right, they last all day and still looks beautiful when I take it off at 10 pm. Never patchy, I know when I need the eyelook to be flawless, I reach for my ND palettes.

Over time, hormones face texture and tone changes. Im 63 and redhead..im struggling with makeup because of that fact that im changing....its a fact as one tries to age gracefully, plus theres so much makeup confusion..🤯

I just wore ND Glam on top of Shadow Insurance for a wedding. Used EL Double Wear foundation. Danced and got all sweaty. Held up good. My fav is still Milani primer.😊

ND is my absolute fave. You honestly get what you pay for with her shadows. My Dream or Lila are my favorites! My fave mini is mini Biba, as well. Just easy to get a look and truly blends themselves. I wear glasses and live in very humid Florida and if put over Mac paint pots, I see the same look at the end of the day with ND shadows.

BH Cosmetics. They are just as longwearing, if not more longwearing than ND and high quality. ELF shadows are probably just as longwearing as ND as well, but you will feel the drop in quality a little. Just make sure to layer the shadow 2-3 times and use eyeshadow primer.

The Dream palette from ND is my favourite. It never disappoints.
Emily on your recommendation I always wear the Milani eyeshadowprimer, but I recently tried the wet and wild one and that one is also very good, I had a wedding in my family and my eyeshadow was still beautiful when I came home late at night!

I have been using the Revlon Colourstay foundation since it came out in the early nineties, but this latest reformulation with the Vit C actually makes my face feel really dry. And I don’t have dry skin. So I might try the Covergirl one if I can find it here in Australia.

That Mercier Ultra Blur Translucent Powder works great! I also use the Mercier Secret Brightening Powder under my eyes.
Hey Em! My eyes were KILLING me, so I checked out Neutrogena since you'd mentioned it recently, and I finally found a mascara that doesn't hurt my eyes! It's the Healthy Volume one. I got Black/Brown because that's all they had in my Walgreens, (can't use waterproof for my eyes or I would've gotten their black).
My eyes are sensitive too. I don’t even bother with mascara. Thanks for the tip!!
@@Flotsgirl13 I have used it several times now and 0 irritation, I have worn all the drugstore mascaras and this is the first that has not hurt my eyes, so I think it is actually good for sensitive eyes! Emily, what other foundations & concealers would you put in the long wear category? I want something more dry skin friendly.
It doesn't seem like it would be incredibly longwear, but the L'oreal Hyaluronic Tinted Serum is a wonderful balance of wearing a long time/covering/not over-drying. NARS Soft Matte is another good option for what you're after.

I have very oily eye lids. So the Milani primer doesn’t really work well for me (even when I set it with powder). I use the Mac primer and it works well (after setting with Bare Minerals pressed powder). I find that my my more “luxury-type” eyeshadows perform far better than my drugstore ones. Specifically, I like my ABH soft glam, Dior 5-shadows, and mac eyeshadows. I would love a Natasha pallet. One of these days…

Hello 😊I love an eye primer tutorial!! 😁😁Techniques and how to apply a product are so important for good looking and wearing make up. So I always appreciate you talking us through things. Eye primer I learned myself can be easily applied too heavy and it might not look like it to you .... Same with concealer.
Sometimes it's the littlest things that really make an impact!

I absolutely love Natasha denona eyeshadows. I don't have oily eyelids either but they last forever on me. My favorites are the Biba, bronze, Glam, Camel, and Dream. But I have a lot of them including the old ones like sunset, sunrise, Lila, star, gold, Metropolis, Safari, Love, Retro, and all the minis. I have not picked up yucca though and I probably won't because the color story doesn't appeal to me very much.

I have very oily eye lids and Casey Holmes put me on to the nars eye primer years ago and I’ve never looked back. It makes my eye shadows last and helps my eyeliner too. ❤❤❤❤❤

This is a great video idea! I am a fan of so many of the mentioned products. Eye primer, for me is Fenty. Fave ND palettes(so tough to choose): mini nude, mini Zendo, my dreams, both Biba palettes too. The little black primer is a big must-have.

I have no idea what ND shadows because of the fact that they are not the right price for my budget 😅
In summer, I usually reach for Danessa Myricks waterproof color fix liquid shadows and finish the look with any palette. But if I wanted to just use powder eyeshadows, and I wanted it to look intact at the end of the day, I'd go for a BH Cosmetics palette, like BFF, Naughty, or any from the Say It collection. I really can't go for anything else if I want to prevent all fading. I'd also layer the over the shadows multiple times. The other palette I could consider using is Blend Bunny All Done Up, if I want to go sparkly. But that's it. What always fades markedly is the shimmers/satins. In 3rd place I'd consider a palette from Nomad. I can use ND no problem, but the shimmer/metallic will be messed up at the end of the day. Because most of my lid is covered by my hood, and I have oily skin.
The ONLY Natasha Denona pallet I own is the pastel. I’m hoping to get some use out of it this summer 😊

Beautiful long-wearing look, Emily! I love the two Natasha Denona palettes that I have: the Glam palette and the Retro palette. Glam is very cool/classic. Retro is cool-friendly and makes me think of the '60s, which is the era I was born into 60 years ago. 🌺🏵💮

I was reading the reviews on the Walmart site about the Covergirl foundation and people are so angry that they replaced the 3 in 1 Covergirl foundation with this. I never tried the 3 in 1 Covergirl foundation but now I feel like I missed out 😂😂😂. I’m still going to pick up the Covergirl at Walmart that Emily suggested because I trust her opinion. I haven’t used Covergirl in years because years ago when I did try their foundation it always oxidized and turned me orange so I’ve used Nuetrogena or L’Oréal. If I find a foundation that works I usually don’t stray from it but I live in the South and I need something to last!!
How does the L'Oreal pro matte last for you? I agree that L'Oreal has better undertones than CoverGirl did last time I used it.
Such a beautiful look! Working in a school with no AC in June is miserable and the biggest thing I’ve been struggling with is mascara. I have to use waterproof because my lashes are non existent, straight and don’t hold a curl but everything I’ve tried flakes and smudges by the end of a hot/sweaty day. I was about to give up but maybe I’ll try the Lancôme primer. I’ve found regular primers weigh my lashes down. If anyone else struggles with the same thing, I’d love some suggestions. Tubing mascaras do the opposite of what they’re supposed to do for me, so those are out.
The wet n wild breakup proof liquid liner pen is great
I have oily eyelids so I combine the Nyx HD waterproof eye primer with the Pretty Vulgar one. If I do any other primer I always mix the Nyx one with it. And Colourpop shadows always wear so long for me!
I have extremely oily eyelids and swear by Milani eye primer. I even use it on days I don't wear makeup to keep the oil at bay!
Hey Em!!! I hope you and the family are doing well! My top fav ND palettes are Lila, Sunrise, Triochrome, Green/Brown, and Sunset in that order. 😀 Needless to say, I enjoy them all! Even though I’m a bit intimidated by the Circus palette still. Would love to see some ‘wearable’ muted looks with this palette if you have it in your collection!

I like sometimes using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind this way - and actually NARS Soft Matte looks good with anything from tinted moisturizer to full coverage products!

The lasting power of the Smashbox Be Legendary Line and Prime lip pencils are my top choice for lip liners. I love them and use them constantly. I think people are sleeping on this product. In so much pain today and your videos are always so great! I have a mini Cupid ND pallet and I just got the Zendo pallet from Boxycharm’s shop. They last forever but the Zendo pallet has quite a bit of fall out. It could be a different formula since it was in Boxycharm. Idk
And don't forget to top all of that off with one size on till dawn setting spray, that shizz is essentially hairspray for your face. I coat in that and finish with a dewy spray (I use mac fix plus) just on my skin (blocking my eyeshadow and brows) to not be matte looking.
