I appreciate the fact that Emily said it’s OK to just play with their toys and not be in anything. I personally feel like some parents completely fill their child’s schedule with “activities.” I just don’t feel like all that is necessary. Children are also happy to play with their toys, use their imaginations, and play outside with friends, if given the opportunity.
When my youngest son was in Kindergarten, I told him, "Ethan, can you please stay 5 years old forever?" And without missing a beat, he said "Okay, but can I still have parties?" I ADORE that age!! Have a wonderful weekend, Emily 💜

I’m a firm believer in allowing a child to try all sorts of activities so they can find their own passion. My son, who is now 22, played every sport and landed on soccer. That was his passion and it literally brought him to Europe, and opportunities at a University. Did he play other sports in high school? Absolutely, but he lived and breathed soccer. I’m so glad I fostered his curiosity and wish more parents would do the same. Love your content 💗

I wonder if you could do a video on best lip formulas in the drugstore? I always think Revlon is underrated... I never had a bad lip product and they release as well some more innovative lines here and there. They were the first to adopt some of the kbeauty formulas years ago and they actually got the formulas right. They also have a great spectrum of shades and undertones

Been using Super Lustrous lipsticks since I was a teen (3rd generation Fire and Ice fan here), I don't give a damn if they aren't vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free or whatever the latest thing millenials and below are hating nowadays. They work well and they are not leaving my beauty kit.

I loved taking dance when I was young but they would rather have had a root canal - they decided on softball - they loved it made great friends and were both good at it. I immersed myself in it helping the league and later travel teams from hauling equipment to scorekeeping to being manager - never played a day in my life but we had a blast for years

Emily, I have been a long time subscriber to your videos bc you’re one of the few makeup channels whose review I trust. However, I wanted to bring something to your attention that you may not have considered. As a woman of color it’s already difficult to find shades suited to our skin tones in the drugstore, but it’s made even harder when those shades made for us are purchased to be used as contour for non women of color. In the future you might want to consider the impact on of your suggestions will have on another demographic of women that also enjoy makeup.

My youngest son has Asperger’s and his pediatrician and therapist insisted he play sports and he would cry in the dug out he was miserable it was more of a hinderance than a help to “socialize “ him. I finally figured out he wanted to play football and he was so tiny they let him play center and would not let him run the ball so he didn’t get tackled. And my baby boy bloomed. He’s 19 now and he is doing fabulous he still isn’t social in big crowds but he is who is and he’s perfect! Kudos ‘Em for figuring out to offer options. I was on the struggle bus in his early years for many reasons and I regret some on my decisions I made for “his good” which was sheer torture for him
I really loved your discussion about your passion for cheer and your kids’ activities. You are fully aware of your influence and are trying to let your kids decide on their own, it’s so important and sweet of you. Your kittens make me miss mine so much. Brings back a lot of good memories of when I first rescued them and they were also very young. (Estimated about 4wks old.) Always loved their curiosity and how they had to investigate everything. Lol. They had a good long life but I miss having them around. Miss their cuddly nature. They were like my little dogs. 😊

Loving to watch after a long few days looking after my Grandparents. Still here and curled up with my kitty I had to bring with me. Realised I have forgotten to pack any of my pallete. Loving using Hula as a crease shade and lucky to have 1 light shadow. Xx

Neither Camo formula really work well on me, but Incognito is my daily go-to. I've pretty much been using it as foundation with the Rimmel powder during the heat for every day. I haven't used the Believe foundation, though. I've been using a Loreal powder foundation for the summer. For some reason, I can feel liquid foundation on my skin during the hot, humid summer.
I was thinking of video ideas for you and I think it would be fun to watch you redo ur very first full face tutorial but modernize it with how you apply things now instead of back then, and explain why you are applying it either the same or differently than how you used to. Just an idea...have a blessed weekend!!

I'm currently at a point in my personal collection where I need to use what I have and not buy anything unless it is needed to replace an entire category, but as much as you have raved about Believe beauty makes me want to pull into the Dollar General parking lot every time I pass the one down the street. Mind you I do not frequent Dollar General normally so it's on my list whenever I need new products! *edit/additional thought : I had to mention that I feel like the e.l.f. New Classics 18-pan palette has some similar tones to the eyeshadow palettes you compared as well!

I was suprised by both the Incognito concealer and the Rimmel powder. The concealer looks so skinlike spread out into a thin layer (I use a dense, kitty paw style brush or a flat top, angled concealer brush), and the powder was actually quite smoothing/blurring. Pleasantly surprised.

I was actually asked to chaperoned a few high school trips while I was with my kids classes. It was a blast! Vet-Tech here: PLEASE microchip your kitties, and have them wear collars even if they only leave the house to go to their medical appointments. Cats are mighty curious, as you know, and notorious for escaping through windows, air ducts, doors left ajar, carriers not latched completely...If a repair person comes to the house, or your smoke detector goes off, or you get pizza delivered...kitty's first instinct when startled or "confused" is to dart out and look at the situation from a distance. They will get out, no matter how careful you are. Without a collar, people might assume they're stray and not try to help them find their home. And at the vet and boarding places...everyone is incredibly careful, but misidentifications do happen. Don't put your kitties at risk of receiving medication that is not theirs, skip treatment they need, or be put in the wrong cage with a aggressive cat the staff thought was its "sibling". Moreover, a cat that is not used to go in a carrier, or wear a collar, have its nails clipped, etc. is a lot more difficult to handle, by strangers, in an emergency. So, for these and many reasons, I urge you and anyone who has a kitty to microchip them AND have them wear collars 24/7. Take the bells off, they are incredibly annoying to cats and go completely against their stealth instinct. And if possible, get breakaway collars, the type that opens or stretches in case they get caught in something. Even a half-inch flat elastic sewn in a circle, with a phone number written in Sharpie, is safer than no obvious signal of "ownership" at all.
@@DianeCee0 Great to hear! So have been my dogs but I didn't know if Emily's kitties are rescues. Also, I hoped my comment would encourage ALL cat owners to put collars on their cats---not only her---whether or not they spend any time outside. I've seen too many pets picked up in the street and euthanized only because it took 2 or 3 weeks for the owner to find which shelter it was taken to. (It happens a lot with pets that escape cars during road trips or run away from a vacation rental or an informal boarding situation.)

I love the Believe Beauty Skin Finish foundation! I have "mature" skin now in my mid 50's and my skin is easily dried out by many foundations. I mix in a little moisturizer with a full pump of this foundation and it looks fantastic all day!
I’ve used Rimmel powder for 8-9 years (in creamy natural since it suits my skin tone) because YOU recommended it so many years ago. So much of my tried and true makeup items that I’ve used for years is because of your recommendations 🥰 And I LOVE seeing your kitties!!

Oh, cheerleading is So much fun. I was a High school Varsity cheerleader. It was an absolute blast. The dancing, tumbling, mounts, the jumps, and of course chants and cheers. Great memories!
Emily, I have been a long time subscriber to your videos bc you’re one of the few makeup channels whose review I trust. However, I wanted to bring something to your attention that you may not have considered.
As a woman of color it’s already difficult to find shades suited to our skin tones in the drugstore, but it’s made even harder when those shades made for us are purchased to be used as contour for non women of color.
In the future you might want to consider the impact on of your suggestions will have on another demographic of women that also enjoy makeup.
I use that pallet for my everyday looks all the time! Love the dark burgundy shade so much!

My youngest son has Asperger’s and his pediatrician and therapist insisted he play sports and he would cry in the dug out he was miserable it was more of a hinderance than a help to “socialize “ him. I finally figured out he wanted to play football and he was so tiny they let him play center and would not let him run the ball so he didn’t get tackled. And my baby boy bloomed. He’s 19 now and he is doing fabulous he still isn’t social in big crowds but he is who is and he’s perfect! Kudos ‘Em for figuring out to offer options. I was on the struggle bus in his early years for many reasons and I regret some on my decisions I made for “his good” which was sheer torture for him

You are fully aware of your influence and are trying to let your kids decide on their own, it’s so important and sweet of you. Your kittens make me miss mine so much. Brings back a lot of good memories of when I first rescued them and they were also very young. (Estimated about 4wks old.) Always loved their curiosity and how they had to investigate everything. Lol. They had a good long life but I miss having them around. Miss their cuddly nature. They were like my little dogs. 😊

Foundation from Believe from Dollar General is made in Germany. I always check where make up is made before purchase.
Neither Camo formula really work well on me, but Incognito is my daily go-to. I've pretty much been using it as foundation with the Rimmel powder during the heat for every day. I haven't used the Believe foundation, though. I've been using a Loreal powder foundation for the summer. For some reason, I can feel liquid foundation on my skin during the hot, humid summer.
I was thinking of video ideas for you and I think it would be fun to watch you redo ur very first full face tutorial but modernize it with how you apply things now instead of back then, and explain why you are applying it either the same or differently than how you used to. Just an idea...have a blessed weekend!!

I'm currently at a point in my personal collection where I need to use what I have and not buy anything unless it is needed to replace an entire category, but as much as you have raved about Believe beauty makes me want to pull into the Dollar General parking lot every time I pass the one down the street. Mind you I do not frequent Dollar General normally so it's on my list whenever I need new products!
*edit/additional thought : I had to mention that I feel like the e.l.f. New Classics 18-pan palette has some similar tones to the eyeshadow palettes you compared as well!

I was suprised by both the Incognito concealer and the Rimmel powder. The concealer looks so skinlike spread out into a thin layer (I use a dense, kitty paw style brush or a flat top, angled concealer brush), and the powder was actually quite smoothing/blurring. Pleasantly surprised.

I was always Class Parent for my boys when they were in Elementary school. I loved it so much! I was actually asked to chaperoned a few high school trips while I was with my kids classes. It was a blast! I always got the older kids who weren’t the best at following directions 😂 They were great with me. I guess that’s why they gave them to me. Love you Emily 😘😘 Give my love to everyone

Vet-Tech here: PLEASE microchip your kitties, and have them wear collars even if they only leave the house to go to their medical appointments. Cats are mighty curious, as you know, and notorious for escaping through windows, air ducts, doors left ajar, carriers not latched completely...If a repair person comes to the house, or your smoke detector goes off, or you get pizza delivered...kitty's first instinct when startled or "confused" is to dart out and look at the situation from a distance. They will get out, no matter how careful you are. Without a collar, people might assume they're stray and not try to help them find their home. And at the vet and boarding places...everyone is incredibly careful, but misidentifications do happen. Don't put your kitties at risk of receiving medication that is not theirs, skip treatment they need, or be put in the wrong cage with a aggressive cat the staff thought was its "sibling". Moreover, a cat that is not used to go in a carrier, or wear a collar, have its nails clipped, etc. is a lot more difficult to handle, by strangers, in an emergency. So, for these and many reasons, I urge you and anyone who has a kitty to microchip them AND have them wear collars 24/7. Take the bells off, they are incredibly annoying to cats and go completely against their stealth instinct. And if possible, get breakaway collars, the type that opens or stretches in case they get caught in something. Even a half-inch flat elastic sewn in a circle, with a phone number written in Sharpie, is safer than no obvious signal of "ownership" at all.
If they are rescued they most likely are chipped. I live in NY and when we rescued our dog, we didn't have a choice, he had to be chipped by law.
@@DianeCee0 Great to hear! So have been my dogs but I didn't know if Emily's kitties are rescues. Also, I hoped my comment would encourage ALL cat owners to put collars on their cats---not only her---whether or not they spend any time outside. I've seen too many pets picked up in the street and euthanized only because it took 2 or 3 weeks for the owner to find which shelter it was taken to. (It happens a lot with pets that escape cars during road trips or run away from a vacation rental or an informal boarding situation.)

I love the Believe Beauty Skin Finish foundation! I have "mature" skin now in my mid 50's and my skin is easily dried out by many foundations. I mix in a little moisturizer with a full pump of this foundation and it looks fantastic all day!
