- He'll need to be humbled in order for this to work...
Season 2, Episode 4
Gordon travels to Great Neck, New York, to help Trobiano's, an Italian restaurant that has been hindered by its boring menu, drab decor and a surplus of seniors, who take advantage of the restaurant's specials, which have ended up losing them money.
Season 2, Episode 5
Gordon travels to New York City and meets three owners struggling to keep their seafood restaurant afloat. After tasting subpar food and battling with David, an owner in denial, he has his work cut out for him, to save an eatery located in one of the most competitive restaurant cities in the country.

I can't understand what the girlfriend parents were thinking by putting their house on the line for him. They're not even married. Absolute idiots.
And the most insane part is their daughter is just a waitress and that boy who does not have even a 1% of their blood is the OWNER💀 crazy.
some people make their bed.... they made it and sold it xD
That’s not even it, he is arrogant, lack of appreciation
Thank you - without to want to be so respectless...I'm really jealous a bit, that this loving, goodwill Parents trust their Daughter so much! 🤔🫣
But that's what you said ..they are a bit "Idiots" and this is painful for me to write ..such cute loving Parents...🥰🫣💕🤗💕🍀🤔✌🏼✌🏼🍀‼️
"I like your British Accent"
"Thank you, I like your lipstick"
That escalated quick
😂
He's a charmer that's for sure 😂
Trobiano's closed in October 2008 as the restaurant was seized by the state for not paying taxes. Anthony became a Chef at Speranza Food Studio which closed in 2011. He is currently Executive Chef at Cirella's Restaurant and Bar in New York. Anthony and Tiffany are still married and they have three children together.
👍
didnt it come in news he jumped off a bridge and died?
@@snowflake1629different episode. You’re thinking about the Campagna episode with Joe.
Would also love to know how much debt was accrued or if the folks filled for bankruptcy etc... like obviously Anthony isn't going to lose after the restaurant dies, he'll just get another job... and then another job... meanwhile the folks have empty pockets and no retirement, so I really don't care about what Anthony did after lol
@@fndmntl5341them still being married is one thing I was interested in, but you're right, what's with the parents
Hello my algorithm siblings.
Heyyyy! 😄
Hey siblings! :D
Whats up !
Hiyaa😂

A chef that doesn't taste the food is like a F1 pilot that doesn't grab the steering wheel.
I used to work in a Bakery...my mentor used to say, "Never trust a skinny Baker", lol. So I completely agree!
@@YourHeartsDesires thats honestly hilarious I love this xDDD
As an Italian, after watching practically every episode, I have to say American Italians are ... special. 😂
Mamma mia, you’re so right
Yeah american italians are funny, they all think they are in mafia
"~~on the internet~~In United States nobody knows you're a dog."
You can claim whichever ancestry is convenient there. Most "Italians" in the US ... are ... not ... Italian.
As a German who has visited Italy many many times the contrast is incredible. Italians in Italy (at least in the countryside) are some of the most open, friendly and humble people you'll ever meet and American Italians seem to be like the exact opposite lol
They just love leaning into the babba da boopy clichés of an Italian American.
Eyyy! Oh! I'm stereotypin' here!
I like how Gordon never holds back and tells it straight

The parents put EVERYTHING on the line for this dude, and he didn’t even promise anything to their daughter 😂😂😂 No martial contract whatsoever. Just a BOY friend.
They are married with 3 children now.

Unpopular opinion: I think the claw machine with lobsters is horrible idea and I hate every aspect of it
I mean it's literally no different than just grabbing a lobsterr normally, it still ends up boiled to feck
It's more horrible to me, that the lobster is cooked while it's alive
Yeah that’s gross. Cheap. Cruel. It’s like pinning the tail on the cow before slaughtering it. Have some respect.
False. That is a very popular and valid opinion
i agree !! leave it to us to invent a vending maschine with living animals !! good for the lobsters - people very very seldom catch anything in those maschines, especially when when the catch can move in that claw ;-))))
I respect Ramsay for saying directly to the truth, no sugar coating, even though the truth is hurtful. This is the right way for these situations.
I love seeing the owners/chefs having a temper tantrum when Chef Ramsey sends back their food lol
David is the most arrogant man alive he makes the arrogant chef look like nothing
true. he is my most hated character in the series by far
In addition to that something about him creeps me out. His face looks like it could be in a true crime documentary. He's giving "kidnap and murder you after keeping you hostage in his basement" vibes
100%@@wolpertinger.
That lobster grabbing thing is bloody cruel
Right! And lobsters have been proven to have sentience, including under UK law.
It's really weird, we're already eating them do we really need to treat them like that 😬
Thank you for saying that! Agreed!!!
And eating it is heaven right....give me break, if you eat lobster, grabbing it is mercy
i agree !! leave it to us to invent a vending maschine with living animals !! good for the lobsters - people very very seldom catch anything , especially when when the catch can move in that claw ;-))))
David can't seriously believe that a big showing at Times Square would not draw any attention to the Black Pearl Restaurant! It's a major tourist destination. People will be walking around, looking for places to go and things to do. Not to mention the hype of Gordon Ramsey encouraging people to go.
It's all excuses because he refuses to cooperate.
David is giving "kidnap you and keep you hostage in his basement before viciously murdering you with a screwdriver" vibes. He looks like he belongs in a true crime documentary.
I love how Joe dramatizes Gordon's comments when he brings back the dishes :))
This is the side of Gordon which is absolutely golden
It must be incredible to say that Gordan Ramsey picked out your wedding ring 💍
In all these nightmares... all the restaurants are struggling but they all say their food is great, so why dont patrons flock in and theres no financial struggle????? How is a restaurant empty and the owner thinks their food os great???? Cant they all see the correlation??? Horrible food, no one will come to eat, therfore financial struggle???
Black Pearl closed just 4 days after the episode aired. Yelp reviews after filming are mostly negative, with complaints over the quality of the food. David had an extremely long rant about Gordon in a letter, allegedly from all three owners, blaming him for the 50% drop in sales.
David was a mess of a human being. He single-handedly ruined that entire restaurant, while simultaneously advertising to the world what a professional prick looks like.
I'd be surprised if someone doesn't knock his ass out cold, for how he talks to people.
And if they do I'd pay to see it.
But david is full of it so its probibly all on him
David sounds like someone sniffing his own beerfarts, he had a massive chance with Gordon but couldn't see it thanks to his planet sized ego getting in the way.
@@SvengelskaBlondieand his pea sized brain refusing to function effectively.
The others seem like decent human beings who are actually trying. David's ego would make up the other 2 in the letter😂
Thiis episode is 13 years old. What a shame they didn't make it. Imo, I think most of the restaurants in the series are too far gone and even with Gordon's help
@@aryanmanchanda3300no its not the black pearl closed shortly after this airing…david left the restaurant industry and greg has worked in a couple of different places as manager
Most of them were either too far gone in the first place, or the owners needed therapy before Ramsay even went anywhere near there.
@@johntrevy1 True about the therapy - even if a genuine cathartic experience does happen, it fades with time, permanent change of character doesn't happen overnight - especially in a stressful environment.
Well, 1 in five actually pulled through, better than I expected tbqh
He gives them a chance to sell or close with dignity if they can't make it after.
My daddy bought me a restaurant so I could shove prawns into chicken and fellate myself. So I can really empathise with this episode.
I love watching Gordon telling people wot he thinks
It's sad to see there's only elderly who goes to those restaurants. Damn and don't want to lose my taste when I am old...
47:22 that music when David walks in, like the prelude to a boss battle
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
well Gordon DOES have a point, like why would you put shrimp inside of chicken like that?? you have a surf & turf meal in restaurants BUT that's seafood and steak individually on the plates, lol
Been a rough year for me. But this episode is so bloody wholesome i just cannot. My heart is bursting. What a lovely lovely episode (first episode)
What an amazing episode, these people deserved to win, such an amazing family and so heartwarming how Gordon got them married in the end, Gordon really has a heart of gold.
Are they still married?i wouldn’t want to marry him after him being such a jerk
@@mujkocka Still married with 3 children
Steven is such a wholesome guy
how can this kid argue with one of the most successful chefs on the planet when he tells him his food is crap! Ramsey KNOWS what he is talking about check your ego and listen up!
Let me save yall:
Trobiano's closed in 2008 8 months after Gordon's visit, due to tax issues.
Anthony worked as a chef in a few places after that but didn't work out and started working in sales.
He is the vp of the current company he's in.
Anthony and Tiffany are still married and have children. 🙂
Western chefs, in general, are much less respectful and aware of what they serve their customers. Selling food begins with humility and second-by-second self-awareness and their awareness of everything they touch and everyone they get involved with.
@Onganana
Person who is not a westerner watches a western show specifically focused on arrogant failing restaurant owners.
Person obviously has little personal experience with eating in western restaurants.
Person makes a fool of themselves on the internet making a blanket statement about something they clearly have very little experience with.
Have a nice day!
Yes - but also the chefs in china that use gutter-oil.. ^^; yikes...

You know it’ll be a good episode, when it has a dramatic masterpiece of a intro😂
Gordan really just trapped my girl with Anthony ;-;

They are still married these days and have 3 children :)
Interesting that the restaurant critics know neither how to hold a knife and fork, nor that one eats with ones mouth closed....
The 1st episode always makes me cry. Lovely
Is there a more awesome wingman than Gordon. He knows how to break you down and then build you back up again. Todays show was awesome 👍👍
My wedding ceremony isn't what I'd do minutes after waiting a hundred tables though😂😂😂
In fact , he forced them on the spot to be married. I really think she would be better off without him. His nature is arrogant and dumb
17:45 - "Whot's this then" - Gordon's having his Brittish moment
Aww i just cried at the wedding proposal ❤
I really love just that one single thing that Ramsey brought out it’s like learn humility I personally believe that aside from love humility is one of the greatest human attributes it doesn’t matter how good you think you are as far as I’m concerned the greatest person is the person who is the best who puts themselves at the last and they’re happy to do it
More concerned about his name than the Business he calls his that his Girlfriends parents have funded. What a catch😣🤦🏻♂️....
By end of video I actually shed tears, I hope the fairytale ending continues for the rest of their days....🙏🇬🇧👵🏼
I can’t cook for six folk in my own home until the kitchen is clean and squared up, that’s why I rarely eat out. I don’t trust hygiene levels after watching Gordon’s Kitchen Nightmares. This was one nasty little arrogant cook using his gf’s family to massage his ego and fantasy of owning his own restaurant. Sorry for anyone who sunk cash into him.
Actually, the restaurant should have had the future father-in-law's name on it as he put up the money and all the cgef put up was his ego!
Gordon, you ol softie you! Such a romantic. ❤
I remember when an owner qould let me buy an expensive piece of kitchen equipment like a rational oven and it would look the same 10 years after purchase. Also when i would start at new place or takeover a kitchen I would lead the team in a cleaning party make everyone pizza just to show everyone what a true leader does and also to see how the team worked together.
Trobiano, "I know I'm a great chef!" Everyone else, "we are watching a wanker!"
Good on you
Joe was the best thing about this restaurant 😂

He reminds me of Dane Cook in the movie Waiting lol
Hmm - never made a Maine Lobster Roll but I just googled it and picked the first, second and third recipes the internet offered me (the second one boasting that it was really the authentic thing) - they all involved seasoning the lobster with salt and pepper…. lol to the owner saying that’s not how we do it in Maine…..
If I have a nickel for every time Gordon got called "a bat out of hell", I'd have 2 nickels. It's not a lot, but it's strange it happened twice
We pick and farm our lobsters very differently in Canada than they do in Maine.
Wait, did he get excited by his mother in law milking a cow? His gf needs to run lol
I think Gordon might be an alien shapeshifter skin walker

Why did they all clap when he turned off the firealarm? In the UK we'd do that to take the piss out of them for tripping it, but I don't feel like that's a widespread behaviour in the US
26:40 made me laugh so hard
glad it shut you would have heath inspetors come in
We do have salmon pasta in italy!
Is it just me who thinks people have plans for their wedding and Gordon kinda ruined it by randomly arranging it in their restaurant after they just got done serving dinner.
However, if the couple had been contemplating marriage for a span of six years, the restaurant found itself in a precarious financial situation. The expenses associated with wedding arrangements proved to be substantial. Costs related to engagement rings, bridal attire, and the wedding venue itself amounted to a significant sum, potentially totaling several thousands of dollars. So it was now of never.

Ok so usually I agree with Chef Ramsay, but making a big deal b/w PEI and Maine lobsters is quite ridiculous. It's not like Lobsters immigrate b/w the border and suddenly starts to speak French. They are still going to be the same breed and specie, born in the same environment and share the same diet. Borders are arbitary, it doesn't exist in nature. It be different if they are from different geo-area...
Poor lobsters ...

Anthony
If you own 13 restaurants with Michelin or whatever stars like Gorden Ramsay and have 2-3 TV shows that run flawlessly, then you end up in such a dirty hole where they clean once a month, you can be as arrogant as Gorden Ramsay! He deserves my utmost respect, you have to deal with people exactly like Gorden Ramsay does!
Who the hell proposes with a wedding band, not an engagement ring? Much less than another man makes you do it...smh
Dunno why chefs don't use krazy glue for their knife wounds... so quick and better than wearing latex gloves or whatever.. krazy glue and maybe tape
