I love the fact that they’re all like “more frozen custard because more cows” when one of the defining characteristics is from chickens. Why do you hate poultry, FI???
@@furuyakeifu Yes, but they don't work perfectly for everyone. Lactaid Fast Act is the popular brand. The best solution is to apply the lactase enzymes to the milk/cream before preparing food. That's what I do at home when I make dairy foods. You can remove just about all of the lactose by applying enzymes to refrigerated milk and waiting a day or two. I don't notice a difference in taste but if there is it should be very slightly sweeter, since the lactase enzyme breaks down the lactose milk sugar insto glucose and another simple sugar (galactose?) which taste sweeter than lactose. That's good for dessert and most other foods.
Culver's 'ice cream' is actually frozen custard for those of you who live in the US but not near Wisconsin, if you want to try it. It's obviously a fast food version, so not near as good as the real thing, but you'll still be able to tell the difference.
I don't live near a Culvers but whenever I'm near it, I take advantage of It! We do live near a Freddy's though which in my opinion has better custard. But Culvers has a lot more toppings and is cheaper. ( Plus is free with a kids meal!)
Kopp’s is my #1 but Leon’s is awesome too. There are many places that serve great frozen custard. I used to love going to a place I lived near by, Golden Gyros. Their Gyros were so delicious and inexpensive and their frozen custard was very good. I also worked at Gilly’s Frozen Custard for a while. Theirs was incredible too! I live in California now and can’t find anything close to those places. I miss my hometown so much!
I live right across the river from Kopps for decades. Definitely in the top 3 of the best custards! Kopps has the best variety. The best vanilla custard is Oscars. Best chocolate is Leons. Culver's is bottom of the barrel but better than regular icecream.
Definitely not the same machine, and I can guarantee you Culver’s custard is absolutely amateur compared to kopps. I’m from milwaukee, and I can guarantee your entire mindset on frozen deserts will change from one trip to kopps
Its like eating creme brulee but super soft and extra creamy and it melts really slowly so it coats your tongue and it takes a little bit longer to eat.
I’ve had NZ ice cream like Tip Top, etc.. Kopps and frozen custard is the best. Plus the smell inside is amazing. I’m live about 5 to 10 minutes away from Kopps
I just had a small custard cone for the first time ever which is why I’m watching this and yeah custard is way better than ice cream imo it’s almost like eating butter it’s very creamy
Can we all agree that grocery store ice cream sucks now that they make it all whipped!? I didn't mind my ice cream soft, but don't want it already half molten by the time it's in the bowl. Plus, the mouth texture with all the air is a downer.
First time I had this 10 years ago in Shake Shack in Dubai never heard of it 😮 but it’s delicious the best flavour unique flavour full of flavour lice no other ice cream I ve ever tasted. Frozen custard wtf I thought but omg it amazing try it 😊
@Evan Scammell man.. who even asked you?? All y'all haters are wasting your time. I'm saying this because no one else has the time to. I wish you a good life.
Ice cream by law must have 10% or more butterfat and < 1.4% egg yolks. < 10% butterfat is frozen dairy desert, or some other euphemism. I grew up in NY with Carvel and I really miss it.
Yes, I have made the custard ice cream mixture and then churned and froze it in a 4-quart White mountain ice cream machine and a 2-quart Cuisinart ice cream machine. I have also frozen the ice cream mixture directly in my refrigerator freezer and then churned it in a Ninja Creami ice cream machine.
I just love the fact that they call their competitor to help them fix their machine.

As a lactose intolerant adult, Kopps custard is 10000% worth the pain.
Are there any enzymes you can eat at the same time to help digest?

Same and agreed.
Try raw milk
I read that as Lacoste. And wondered for 10 minutes why someone would be Lacoste intolerant and why it matters 🤦🏼♂️

I never had custard until a Culvers opened up (I live in Florida) and I've been a fan since! Plus their cheese curds are awesome..
there should be Andys opened up near you now
In the middle of the night you're showing me this? Horrible!! Who gonna get me those now????????????
RIGHT
or just dont watch it... wow - solves the problem.
I swear these videos are the most tantalizing thing in the world, especially if you live nowhere close to the featured places

At 1:00 “Custard mix ingredients are top secret” they say as they proceeded to show the ingredients list.
When I lived in Mikwaukee I would travel 45 mins out of my way to get to Kopps for their cookies 'n' cream
Kitts is my favorite place. Fresh butter pecan daily
Lived down the street from kopps. Went there every day with my friends in the summer time
And Minnesota’s. We love custard here.
