Amazing! Four of them were clean bowled and the other one was given out plumb lbw. It just shows the value of having a fast bowler who is not afraid of pitching it up and attacking the stumps; especially one who could swing the ball back in at speed. Okay, you might get driven but the batsman doesn’t have a lot of margin for error when the line is good and a colleague is also sticking it to them at the other end like Gough and Cork did that fantastic summer when the new century was still very young and promised so much.
The memories.....had to take my two daughters to the cinema (well it was only day two of the match had the whole weekend to indulge in the cricket) sat with my personal radio, ear piece in place. sat open mouthed as the above happened,
For some reason Caddick was like marmite, u either loved him or didn't, I thought he was slow to start his England career, but once he got going with Gough at one end Caddick turned into a brilliant bowler for England
I think his test career ended a bit prematurely because he didn't suit the Fletcher Vaughan axis. He was a little bit high maintenance. But always one of my favourite bowlers to watch. Certainly would slot right in to the attack now.
ooooh gotta say, the first one bounced outside leg,,, hm....superb bowling... but forget the 1st one. Superb, a great NZ Bowler and a great NZ person for England hehe. I've met him since and he's an absolute bloody gem, good businessman.
Andrew caddick is a better bowler than Allan Donald because he threatened the Aussies, the kiwis and the windies consistently several times and he should be rated as the best bowler in the world and Allan Donald should be rated as overrated bowler in the world.
@@Suttoner76 well, i guess d numbers don't tell d entire story..Donald was certainly lethal and he had the numbers to back dat up, but Caddick had a certain aesthetic flow to his craft, a fluid action, a decent accuracy and consistency, it ws simply exciting watching him bowl..btw m a fan of both Donald and Caddick..
I was off sick that day from school, i remember watching. Cheered me up no end :)
I don't know much about this guy but he has the most beautiful bowling action in the history of the game.
My dad said exactly the same
Alan Donald's was the best

Nice to see people remebering CADDY👌
That second ball is one of the best in swingers I've ever seen to a left hander.

Unfortunately he is least remebered nowadays

In fact, he was the first NEWZEALAND born ENGLISH Cricketer. That might be the reason for his delayed entry
One of my fav bowling spells in test cricket along with Both and Bob in 81 and Malcolm in 94.
Only 3 batters for the WI in this innings scored more than 3 runs
I love the sound of uprooted stumps in the morning😉
Top bowler

omg, i completely forgot about the pitch invasions!
I was out driving, listening to Test Match Special when this over was bowled. Henry Blofeld nearly spontaneously combusted.
I think his test career ended a bit prematurely because he didn't suit the Fletcher Vaughan axis. He was a little bit high maintenance. But always one of my favourite bowlers to watch. Certainly would slot right in to the attack now.

The moment where the years of hurt (quite literally sometimes!) versus the Windies finally ended.
@goofy6622
Hadlee was his hero, and he modelled his action on Hadlee's, so the similarity isn't surprising.
Underrated bowler, was Caddick.
He had a very different bowling action

Exactly
I Hurt me seeing this me being an avid West Indies Fan,But Great Bowling by Andy Caddick nun the less!!
The 4 th wicket though great out swinging yorker
He and Darren gough were really deadly!!!
Dean Headley blows away both
"You woouldn't put it in a comic book" .... well if anyone did, the West Indies fans wouldn't be laughing at it!
that second'un was an amazing seed, wish i could swing it that way
I suppose you now know how England fans felt when this and the Sabina park 2004 innings happened.
gr8 bowling
All out for 61...fucking brilliant: why can't we have him now?
Ridley Jacobs LBW, Nixon MacLean bowled, Curtly Ambrose bowled, Reon King bowled and finally Courtney Walsh bowled.
Any one know who the wickets were?
my favourite baller
@bismuthcadmium
tell me about it!
Until last year I was still hedging bets on a Caddick return to test cricket!
I was 15 when I watched this live! :(
Look at the guy grabbing the England players cap right at the end of the video ha ha
Sabina park 2009: ENG 51 allout...so it happens to everyone (except d aussies) sometimes...
He seamed (sic) to take wickets in clumps.
shame he is gone
good bowling shite batting
LOL 5 slips 2 gulleys

You been drinking? Utter rubbish and I'm an England supporter.
TheProd1991 you don't like Andrew caddick he several demolished many times but you don't agree.
I rated Caddick very highly, but he certainly wasn't as good as Allan Donald.
I doubt even Caddick himself would say he was a better bowler than Donald.
