A lot of these analysis videos keep missing another minor detail, the ship that flies back by the facility entrance is a Space Pirate fighter, it's the same style of fighter jet from Zero Mission and the intro cutscene in Samus Returns.
We're even seeing some cool lighting and shadow tech here in UE5 that wasn't present in Prime Remastered. Granted, it's not consistent due to budgeting with the switch's low ceiling. My body is ready
5:31 thought the same, but yeah hard to tell, but if that were the case, It doesn't seem to be federation tech but from an ancient civilization? Linked to the planet from.afterwards? 8:01 similar thoughts too. Maybe we will teleport around the planet instead of going back to the ship like in 3. Or there are multiple planets interconnected in the cluster by some weird technology, maybe like prime hunters? I don't think its a light/dark aeon case like echoes
I'm so excited! It was magnificent! I didn't even notice the portals.. I'm so happy to see Sylux, one of my favorite Metroid characters! It looked a little Halo-ish in the beginning, but Halo Infinite had suit upgrades definitely inspired by Metroid, so little inspiration, never hurts. Oh, I'm so hyped FINALLY! 🙌 (BTW, this channel is extremely underrated)
I agree, I almost don't believe it runs on switch even though it obviously does lol. Maybe it's 30fps on switch but 60 on switch 2 but that would be not ideal after the smooth prime remastered at 60
I doubt the footage we got was on Switch 2. However, I'm quite confident that this game will also be on the predecessor console because it almost has the same downgrade in graphical fidelity as many AAA ports on Switch.
Good point, but I figured since I really haven’t seen a switch game with textures, lighting, effects and atmosphere of this magnitude I assumed it was shown on Switch 2 hardware, and seeing that the console is set to release 2025 it is plausible.
@@joshcruz9246 It's mostly just baked lighting though. And the textures aren't actually that detailed if you take a closer look. They are being smoothed out by what I call the "switch haze", which is a similar trick that Prime 3 pulled off with it's bloom lighting to cover up how outdated the textures actually were. Add some high contrast shading and everything looks nice and crisp. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but from a switch successor I expect higher resolution textures and real time lighting effects. Maybe some minor ray tracing as well.
I don't understand why so many people talk about the possibility of MP4 to be on the Switch 2. At the beginning of the trailer we see the Nintendo Switch logo...
In a world where Nintendo Directs are filled with anime garbage shovelware, what a refreshing day today turned out to be. Metroid 4 baby!!! This is a brilliant review of that trailer, no senseless speculating and instead it has to the point knowledgeable analysis. I wish I didn't have to sift through what feels like hours of bland, unoriginal anime copy-paste just to see something good, but I'm glad the payoff this time was literally Zelda and Metroid 4 Beyond (the initial release date). Awesome work - can't wait for more Metroid content here!!!
I think the logo is a highly stylized blackhole ala interstellar
Interesting, maybe Samus has to travel to beyond a black hole to find the true source of some evil.

That's a good catch, I missed it

It was incredible, looking so good. And thank you, been having a hard time picking up subs
Great analysis. You're obviously a true fan.
Thank you!
This looks more like a switch 2 game. Definitely a cross gen game

Nah switch 2 would look much better.

The graphics are good
