Seems to be a pretty wide consensus that although this format is fine, it's not the preferred delivery. I see MANY comments asking me to at least splice in the live reactions to the big moments. I'll continue to tweak and find something that works for the majority. At the end of the day- this is an entertainment channel and I want you enjoy yourself at the fullest. Thanks for your patience!
I like both but I think there are a few scenes in the future that seeing your live reaction too would be better and nice to see ❤️ this movie is the best one to introduce trying something new though it's the slowest in my opinion. 😊 Thank you for the reactions though!
This is exactly what I was thinking, the more thought out reactions/analysis of the changes are interesting, but live reactions when seeing what/how things have changed is what I look forward to most and adds those more humorous moments 😊 Love love your videos though and am always excited for the next ❤️
I personally like your live reactions to the movies. Even though you know what will happen, the live reactions is what makes it for me. The faces you make! Love it. But This feels like your second watch and for me it's just not hitting the same.
I agree as well. The live reactions just hit different! I still like the content either way but I like it when we are watching it as he is watching it, so much funnier.
Enjoyed the new format, but there's something about a live reaction that's more exciting to watch, regardless of you having read the books before. Going forward, the movies do stray from the books a tiny bit if I recall... and without spoiling anything, I promise that at least a live reaction to the final movie is going to be well worth it. But no matter what format I always will look forward to these videos!
Live reactions just hit different, it feels like you're experiencing it with someone who hasn't seen it for the first time, regardless of whether they've read the book or not, it's just more satisfying. I did enjoy the commentary but for me personally, I prefer the previous format, it feels like these are thoughts you share after having watched it. Still grateful that you bothered to do this at all, I fully recognize that you didn't have to, like you could have done anything else but you did this and I appreciate your time/sacrifice. Looking forward to your Eclipse vlog.
Still can remember all the girls screaming when it appeared a chest carrying Bella and everyone thought it was Jacob, but then it zoomed out and it was a “random guy” and my dad laughs out loud: “ HAHAHA YOU GUYS SCREAMED OVER THE WRONG CHEST” My 13-year-old self died of embarrassment.
I would also like to cast my vote for the original live reactions, some of the film versions of books make such dramatic choices that seeing your reactions to when they happen is why your videos are so fun to watch
I really like the way you explain the differences and the way it is edited but I still would like to see clips (even if they are shorter) of you watching the movie in between the points so that I can see your initial reaction as you have in the previous video
As a Brazilian I must say, one of the things I love most about the movies is seeing a certain relationship that Edward has with Rio de Janeiro, it's the most random thing in the universe but I love it, like he chose Brasil to be sad LOL
Love the new style! Couple things: 'loca' means crazy in spanish. It's a completely random thing for Jacob to say, it's so funny. Also, Michael Sheen said in an interview that for Aro's character he got the inspiration of Hannibal Lecter and the Blue Meanies from the Beatles' 'Yellow Submarine' and I think that's so accurate. I love Michael Sheen so much ❤
Dakota Johnson is the actress who was in 50 Shades of Grey and Madame Web. Dakota Fanning is in this movie, did not die and was still working but not in big movies. Her most recent role was in The Perfect Couple that was a limited TV series and quite fun.
Congrats on now becoming kinda part of Twilight lore 😭 I can’t believe Carlisle is out here being a menace like that Both editing styles are good!! I think people seem to like the live reactions more because of the energy you had in the immediate moment BUT I agree with your assessment that maybe throwing in both is a good idea! I really enjoy the commentary you’re adding as your understanding of the story builds + real life elements like Stephanie’s Mormonism and the actors involvement in the franchise/fandom and ambience of the whole thing
I LOVE the video essay format of this video, the jokes/punchlines are so much funnier because you're able to think of them after watching the movie. However, I do understand why many people prefer the live reaction format. Maybe you could try a mix of both? There are a few clips where you're trying to demonstrate the ridiculousness of the scene and just let it play out. Instead of that, you could insert your live reaction to the scene or any scene that illicited a strong reaction from you (and there will be quite a few in the upcoming movies). I personally watch reactions to see how the content creator reacts to the most talked about scenes in a movie/tv show, then I kind of zone out during the rest of it depending on what I'm watching lol. For example: in the last movie, it would be the reveal scene or the baseball montage.I am SO excited for Eclipse and its unhingedness. See you in exactly two weeks, punctuality king 😌
Okay, expectations shifted. I checked back so many times yesterday to make sure I didn't miss this video, but if the upload schedule changed to Monday now I know what to expect lol I didn't love the new format, but I feel like it can get more natural. What i really missed was the wine and you pausing the scene to rant. I just love the impassioned rants about how they changed or added scenes. Plus when you guess wrong about something and then the movie immediately points it out, but we kind of got that when you asked if that was Dakota Johnson or Fanning - and if she was dead.
This was fun but please go back to live reactions! In your old videos it feels like we're watching it with you and we get to see your genuine reaction to specific scenes which I LOVE. That's just my two cents. Love your channel and the content you put out ❤️
One of my favorite memories watching the entire saga in theaters: During the scene where Bella hits Paul and Jacob wolfs out, a guy sitting behind me blurted out,"Woah! He just burst into fur!" in the most Surfer Bro voice. The entire theater laughed for a decent 20 seconds
20:21 Fun fact because of how positive Michael Sheen spoke about his time working on twilight and the franchise as a whole is part of the reason he was casted in Good Omens
@natalie9796 I might be wrong but I think Neil Gaiman saw an interview of Michael Sheen defending the Twilight movies and the genre as a whole and mentioning how much he loved Neil Gaimans work which led to Neil sending him books and inviting him out to lunch that then led to a friendship between the two and eventually a role in Good omens.
I always read Jasper's portrayal in this movie as: he has a hard time handling all the nonsense teenaged emotions coming at him. When they're away from the high school, he acts pretty normal.
I'm having a blast remembering Twilight through these videos. The "I would have been such a better kid to Charlie" bit was incredibly funny. Made even funnier by the fact although the actor is on the older side, I'm pretty sure Charlie had Bella straight out of High School, meaning you should be about the same age 😂
9:20 Thank you for calling this out, I loved it too! I remember my chest physically clenching when the page with "October" printed on it transitioned to "November", etc. (Each page only had one word so the month passed with the turn of the sheet of paper.) I thought it was such a powerful literary device and I have never heard anyone else talk about it. Done very well in the movie too.
Okay so Edward is wearing a suit during the break up because he never changed his clothes (it is the same suit from Bella's birthday) he´s depressed basically
I love this new format! The only thing i would like different though is if for the really big plot points it showed your initial reaction. But for the rest the new format is great and this video was so funny! :)
15:12 I’m CACKLING. Please never stop making videos. I agree with the overall consensus of the formatting, but your commentary will always have me coming back for more no matter what.
the fact that there was a person behind rob holding him up so he didn’t fall over as kristen ran into him in the italy scene will never not make me chuckle when i watch that part
10:41 Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they were recasted because the original actors didn't want to cut their hair again not 100% sure if its true but that's what I remember hearing
I'll die on the hill that the blue filter was perfect for that first movie. It was the VIBE and we lost it. Not Carlisle giving you spoilers???? Sir???? Was Edward wearing a suit in the break-up scene cause it's the same outfit from her party, the night before? I was thought it was and it was meant show that he and the family spent the whole time discussing what to do, he was so distressed etc etc and he never changed before coming to talk to Bella.
I loved both videos so either format is great, this twilight series is so fun I'm having the best time watching it. The reason for Jacob's (and the whole pack's) hair cut is because their human hair length impacts their wolf fur length. They keep their hair short so it doesn't get in the way or matt in their wolf forms. It's mentioned in one of the remaining books somewhere.
Love this joke! Btw, I’m pretty much convinced he’s blinking like that because his contact lenses were very uncomfortable to wear. Robert was complaining about it a couple of times during twilight promo interviews
I really enjoyed this new format it was fun and felt like a review but I do miss the live reactions especially in the points where the movie varies from the book. Maybe continue this style but throw in little live reaction clips! Both styles are very fun to watch either way!
4:20 (haha) In response to Jasper: 1.) He's the adoptee of the good town doctor and partner of the sweet Alice and 2.) Jasper can canonically influence the emotions of the people around him, right? So why not constantly be affecting all the human students and faculty around you to think you're mostly harmless, if a bit weird? (See what's-her-name's line about "the weird one who looks like he's in pain all the time.") With that said... Jasper was a confederate soldier soooooo
Miss the live reactions, I've read the books and seen the movies before so this seems more like a summary of what I already know rather than living vicariously through someone experiencing it for the first time. ❤
I am so addicted to his videos. I watched his Twilight movie review. New Moon movie review wasn't out yet even though it said it's been 2 weeks. Just got done watching Midnight Sun review & Hunger Games movie review & then a pop up for New Moon just added. Woo-Hoo! I'm here all day watching his videos.
Dakota Fanning is very much alive. I think she went to college and had a life. She has been in plenty of things. She was in a really good show called The Alienst. It only lasted a couple of seasons. She was in some movies. She was recently in Ripley. She is alive and around.
He blinks like that because the contacts irritated his eyes very badly lol The book I read in 2007 or so, each month was a page. I remember feeling that depression though.
This is the first video I've watched on your channel but I really enjoyed this format. I went back after and watched your first Twilight video to compare and I think the current format is great. Either way, fun video! Thanks!
Still my favorite channel. Personally, I don’t mind this format. I am here for the snarky comments, razor-sharp wit, and original insights. All have been delivered to my satisfaction. I’ll be back in two weeks, regardless of the format. Also - book pre-ordered!
At first I was a bit skeptic about this format (even though I do watch it), but was definitely surprised by the end at how much I enjoyed it! Whatever you choose to do in the future, I’ll surely be watching it
I like this format but loved the previous one. Doesnt hit the same as this is more of a commentary on the movie rather than live reaction and how it compares to the books. Was easier to relate to the videos on the previous format.
I don't hate this format but I LOVED the live reactions. If you're going to watch other movies in live react but this format for books you've read first I'm ok with it. Not gonna lie I'm watching either way ❤
I enjoyed hearing your thoughts in this format a lot, but I also like the live reactions as well. Maybe you can find a way to do both, a live reaction video and then a separate video in this format discussing deeper into the comparisons to the book and how you felt about each important scene? Although that adds a lot more work on your part 😅 so either way you choose to do these going forward, I’m here for it! Though as I’ve seen in other comments, a live reaction to the final movies is a MUST. As long as you avoid any further spoilers, it just seems missing the opportunity to see your genuine initial reactions to certain scenes would be a travesty 😂
Edward’s plan wasn’t even to have sex with her old lady body! He fully intended for her to just live her whole life a virgin, but married to him. So he wouldn’t risk killing her in a fit of passion. He’s great at planning like that.
As a fellow book lover, in order to get over any additions made to films from the original source material, I've tried to look at them as deleted scenes from the book. This works especially when they add something to the story - like when Billy died. This just means more story instead of a changed story if that makes sense. For the video style, I do like the live reactions. But this also felt more polished and gave it something different from the book reactions. You react live to the books so having more time to think about your thoughts to the film makes sense. In the end, if you're happier with this format, I say go for it!
Am I the only one who can't wait 2 weeks between videos?? I NEED more! Live reaction to reading the comment section? Yes please! Videos of you bullshitting around? Yes please! Don't make us wait 2 weeks.
To clear something up: Dakota Fanning is in this film (and alive and well still), Dakota Johnson is in Fifty Shades of Grey and more recently, Persuasion.
I liked the other format for reactions better, but this was still entertaining as hell. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the drastic difference in tone and pure color gradient with the changed director.
Noooooooo I love the live reaction better😭 Edit: I’m 5 minutes in and it’s not too bad. I just love when you have those jaw dropping reactions because of how wild twilight gets EDIT 2: I’m lowkey obsessed with how you actually like twilight. Some people just don’t get how funny the series is
Even though this format is fine and there‘s nothing wrong with it, I couldn‘t help but feel disappointed. The live reactions were what I was expecting. Maybe that’s why but I reaaaaally enjoyed those! I hope you find a nice middle ground.
Great video, good job on the editing! ✨ I really like this review format too. I understand that it would be a lot of work to record both this and a reaction and then edit them together. This feels fresh and I like it! 💙
Since you brought up the lack of the black skinned kid, did you know: according to Meyer vampires can't have dark skin. The venom bleaches all pigments during the turning progress. Don't you love this fun and not at all racist fact 😁
While I’m gunna miss the raw reactions to the movie, I liked that we got a more in depth analysis in this video. I feel like we got to see your personality come through. Whether you decide to switch back to the way you were doing the videos before or keep with this style, I’ll still be here to watch!
Saw this movie in theaters Edward’s line at 7:59 made the entire theater explode. It was great. Thank you for doing these. This video had me literally laughing out loud and scaring my dog with the random bursts of laughter. Chef’s kiss
I love the nostalgia this whole thing gives me. I’ll be sad when you’re done with this series! Oh, the memories of staying up all night in high school reading these books!! Anyway, I loved watching this, but I like your other format better.
The “Blue” filter is because Twilight was the Edward movie. The “Gold” filter is because New Moon is the Jacob movie. They represent the Moon and the Sun.
My old neighbour was Quils agent and she was proud of that. I didn't see eye to eye with my neighbour so when you said "downgrade" my inner jerk, chuckled...
Having the audio from the clip you comment on before hand helps alot. Its also way better to listen to if i cant watch the video (sometimes i am driving). So if i hear the scene, I know what you are referring too. I think commentary over a clip is fine when you are making a a general comment of the story overall, but if its specific to a scene, having the scene play a littlr beforehand helps with context for sure. Its make us feel we are watching it with you.
7:38 he’s actually wearing a suit because it’s what he was wearing the night before! He was apparently so distressed the whole movie, that he never changes clothes from the birthday party till when he reunited with Bella.
I just want you to know I really like the way you say the word because. 😂 About the format: what first drew me to your videos were the live reactions so I feel like I'm attached to that, but I appreciated the funny comments and rants in this one.
15:01 (I am so sorry) So, they're having to restrap a pair of shorts to their leg after every change, so it's a pretty big frustration in the book to have to change and so the shorts make sense---I don't even know if this is true anymore, my inner preteen is writing these comments, ha.
This is a fine format but I agree I miss the live reactions!!!
Yes! A bit of both! Keep up the good work, I live for these videos!
This is exactly what I was thinking, the more thought out reactions/analysis of the changes are interesting, but live reactions when seeing what/how things have changed is what I look forward to most and adds those more humorous moments 😊
Love love your videos though and am always excited for the next ❤️
I am okay with this format for the slower moments. But the crazy things, I would love the true reactions lol.
Me seeing the notification: Where the hell you been, loca?!
LOL
@@lynmoore_ "Loca" means crazy in Spanish btw
No not the supposed spoiler comming from ACTUAL cast whaaa 😂😂😂
The call came from inside the house 😂

I personally like your live reactions to the movies. Even though you know what will happen, the live reactions is what makes it for me. The faces you make! Love it. But This feels like your second watch and for me it's just not hitting the same.
Interesting, good to know!
I agree. I think if he compares a little more in between the differences in his live as 5 both would be the BEST! But I liked just live reactions.
Agree
Totally agree!
I agree as well. The live reactions just hit different! I still like the content either way but I like it when we are watching it as he is watching it, so much funnier.
22:16 really fun indeed seeing credits for michael sheen and dakota fanning after 10 minutes of calling them martin sheen and dakota johnson
LOL
@@lynmoore_ but you got Aro right: two steps forward and all that

Hard agree on the final movies, a think a live reaction is absolutely necessary for the final movie!!
Agree ! I need to see that reaction cause I can still remember my reaction in the movie theater like it was yesterday!
"too much neck movement" is the best and most accurate description for weird angsty Jacob
Live reactions just hit different, it feels like you're experiencing it with someone who hasn't seen it for the first time, regardless of whether they've read the book or not, it's just more satisfying. I would also like to cast my vote for the original live reactions, some of the film versions of books make such dramatic choices that seeing your reactions to when they happen is why your videos are so fun to watch
If i was charlie and my teen daughter suddenly has screaming nightmares and her boyfriend mysteriously moves away im thinking a crime happened
Right? I'm not thinking she got dumped. I'm thinking she was HARMED. Girl you better be on fire hollering like that.
Exactly also, charlie is a cop. His first thought would definitely be a crime too @sarah.the.clumsy
I really like the way you explain the differences and the way it is edited but I still would like to see clips (even if they are shorter) of you watching the movie in between the points so that I can see your initial reaction as you have in the previous video
100% agree
@juliak1192 oh good idea, like maybe splicing in some first reaction scenes but the rest being this more analysis style

the peter facinelli comment and picture caught me so insanely off guard😭😭😭 i canttt
Good Omens mentioned! Yaaayyy!
I like the old format better with the live reactions it seems more natural!
you have no idea how much joy these videos bring me. tysm
Just discovered your channel and watched all your twilight videos- I love a funny react with genuine analysis going on!
Ok Peter Facinelli is already the GOAT😂
Edward’s plan wasn’t even to have sex with her old lady body! He fully intended for her to just live her whole life a virgin, but married to him. So he wouldn’t risk killing her in a fit of passion. He’s great at planning like that.
Dakota fanning is alive
Dakota Johnson was in 50 shades of grey (which was a twilight fanfic)
Loved this!! Can’t wait for Eclipse!!!
That is a big part of it- I want the ability to think more instead of having to react to every scene. We’ll see! Thank you
Am I the only one who can't wait 2 weeks between videos?? I NEED more! Live reaction to reading the comment section? Yes please! Videos of you bullshitting around? Yes please! Don't make us wait 2 weeks.
I'm into reaction videos and this was so unique! Definitely subscribing!!!
Noooooooo I love the live reaction better😭
Edit: I’m 5 minutes in and it’s not too bad. I just love when you have those jaw dropping reactions because of how wild twilight gets
EDIT 2: I’m lowkey obsessed with how you actually like twilight. Some people just don’t get how funny the series is
i've been waiting for this one. TURN IT UP
Even though this format is fine and there‘s nothing wrong with it, I couldn‘t help but feel disappointed.
They took his hair away in the book as well! It’s because long hair = long wolf hair = ultra hot temp for the already very hot wolf
Since you brought up the lack of the black skinned kid, did you know: according to Meyer vampires can't have dark skin. The venom bleaches all pigments during the turning progress. Don't you love this fun and not at all racist fact 😁
What the Christ
The dude on the motorcycle is so weird, but the music at that moment?! Chef's kiss 😚
Chef’s kiss
Eclipse is my favorite of the series so I'm excited to see what you think of it next
I really liked this format. Found you were able to be more analytical in your comparison. Think you're awesome either way 😊
I love the nostalgia this whole thing gives me.
Adore your videos but love the live reactions much more! That was the unique format that turned me into a fan of your channel within one day.
I LOVE your commentary, makes theses all the more fun to watch!
This style was great! I hope you do all the mega popular YA books!!
I liked this style! I think it gave you more time to articulate your thoughts about the movie
They are also supposed to be running hot all the time hence the shorts not jeans in the cold Pacific Northwest.
Thanks for the new video! I did like your other video style though when you did twilight~
I kind of love the live reaction style. Even though you know what is gonna happen. It still funny to see your reaction to the book come to life
